"Try a Taste of the Azores at Cafe Acoreano If you’re looking for cozy, casual, and tasty with an Azorean island ambiance, look no further than Café Acoreano. Located near the Hamilton Bus Station, Café Acoreano blends Bermuda’s Portuguese heritage into its selection of pastries, tarts, and other delicious baked goods. They are open for breakfast and lunch. The lunch buffet consists of Portuguese specialties and fish, pork, and potato dishes as well as beef stew, pumpkin soup, and red bean soup. Be sure to try the malassadas. These tasty treats, made of fried dough and sugar, are known as “Portuguese doughnuts” to the locals. Café Acoreano also serves a variety of Portuguese coffee and beer, though we don’t recommend trying both at the same time. Talk about a buzzy day after that! My dad was so happy to find a Portuguese Cafe on our trip to Bermuda. We got off the cruise ship and went there straight away. Had our coffees and a plate of cozido. Was just what he needed to remind him of home.

Nice little portugese cafe tucked away in the heart of the city. My husbands go to place every morning to grab the portugese donut and plain black coffee whenever we are in bermuda for vacation. I love their little sweet treats with latte. Basic interior nothing fancy but quality food!

A surprise was a stop at Café Acoreano. We love Portuguese treats and know the rich history of the Madeira and Portuguese community so we were excited to stop for some sweet delights. We had a sampling of all the treats and loved all including the Pastel De Nata.

Get one of Everything! Right across from the bus terminal so make time to pop in and grab some great pastries. Everyone in there was extremely helpful and even gave our group some cookies for the road! If you only have one day to go make sure to stop in on Friday morning and grab the DING-DONGS they are that good!!
