I'm amazed this place isn't more popular. Hubby and I had an early Sunday breakfast at 8:45am, and were seated immediately to a sparsely filled dining room.
We were immediately greeted by a friendly waitress, who quickly brought coffees (Colectivo!) and the most delicious fresh squeezed OJ I've had since Cancun.
The menu, let's just say, is insane. It's not crazy big, but it's the sort of menu where you want to taste everything on it. The choice was really hard...but I'm a sucker for a good eggs Benedict, and narrowed it down to this incredible tostada variation with beef barbacoa, fresh spinach, Oaxaca cheese, and eggs over easy on top. Wow. With the choice of potato (red or hash brown) or fruit, I opted for both.
SO happy I did. The fresh berries and melon with strawberries was delightful! I expected the usual shitty oranges and grapes most places usually throw in, so I was pleasantly surprised. I ate every bit.
I can't say the same for the Benedict and hash browns...this is for sure a two person breakfast. For $12, you can easily split a meal and save some money! The hardest part will be agreeing what to order.
Next time, I want to try either the chicken and waffles (bacon infused waffle?! Sausage gravy?!) or the pecan banana and blueberry pancakes. Oh, and they have two bacon choices, too: peppered or apple.
They really do brunch right, and it makes a great lunch stop too! They close at 3 and on Mondays, so plan accordingly.
I'm hungry again just thinking about it!
