Cafe Alexander

Busy small cafe, but the food is consistent and they fix mistakes if there are any. You must try the pho that is served only on Wednesdays! You may have to call ahead and pre-order it. They run out before 2:00PM. It is master crafted and has an amazing depth of flavor.

Found this gem for breakfast and couldn't have been happier. Food portions were great and at a very reasonable price for LA. The food was good and the service was excellent. Only downside would be that it is located within an office building, so using the bathroom is a walk with a key to the main lobby of the office building. Well worth it, and also worth mentioning were the delicious coffee drinks. We got a caramel Frappuccino and a cappuccino, both excellent.

I wanna come back. I am looking forward to meet the owner of Café Alexandra and shoot a proper video inside the business when it’s open I want I want to taste the coffee of Beverly Hills. I think I have a prediction that’s gonna be amazing. That’s why I gave it five starsbecause I support the local business community right here in Beverly Hills.

Wow! Inflation proof prices!! A whole breakfast, eggs, bacon, pancakes, hashbrowns for $9, but I'm trying to be healthy, so I had an avocado egg sandwich for $8. Lady who runs it is very nice, courteous, and professional. Constantly yelling orders at the kitchen even though only 1 other person inside. Mobile orders I guess. Part of the charm for me, she was great, so nice and friendly. Sandwich delicious 😋

Nice people, but very slow and overpriced. A wrap and a bag of chips $12.00 and took 25 minutes to prepare

What a gem! I'm so glad I was in the area and looking for lunch. The owners are so kind and the food is delicious! I got the half sandwich half soup, egg salad sandwich and chicken pozole -- SOO GOOD! And so fairly priced especially in Beverly Hills. This will be my go to from now on whenever I'm in the area. The menu is huge! And while I was there, they had many regulars come in, which is a good sign IMO!

Best food/price/service in the area with a huge menu and everything tastes great. Burger and fries or chicken tostada salad are my picks. Coffee and smoothies are great as well.

We stopped in here whilst in town and both got the chicken Caesar wrap with fries well done. Hubby got iced tea I got an iced dirty chai. Drinks good. Food good- the fries were honestly amazing we both concur amazing fries especially when well done- and the chicken in the wrap was really good too alongside the lettuce, cheese, tomato, and Caesar dressing. The wrap itself was thin yet delicious- slightly different consistency than I'm used to but in a good way (healthier- tasty) To get there you have to walk into the surgical building and walk down the hallway and it's to the right. Or you can enter from outside on the northwest corner. They had an extensive menu with very reasonable prices- and the woman was very sweet. Will definitely be back next time in the area. Cafe Alexander is a great little spot for breakfast and lunch for dine in and take out. Colleagues and I have been coming in pretty consistently and all have been happy. We appreciate the friendliness, consistency and the value. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. The inside features several tables and a communal table with some stools. The outdoor area is made up of the front patio which features a few tables. Breakfast wise they have some various scrambles, omelettes, some various pancake dishes, burritos, sandwiches and some other items. For lunch they have various salads, sandwiches, wraps, burgers, melts, a few pastas and some other items. They usually feature some kind of special too. I've stuck to their sandwiches, fries and their soups mostly. All have been too good to pass up. They're only open M-F I believe from 7am-4pm.

Mom & Pop hidden gem. Came in for a quick coffee, I hate places like Starbucks because it's focused on quantity & quickness instead of quality & control. This spot is chill, fast & all things quality. The lady in the front, knew everyone's orders before they could even say anything, at 8:15 in the morning the kitchen & her handled the morning rush with ease! People in and out in under 10 minutes with their food & drinks. I enjoyed my Iced Dirty Chai Latte which was absolutely delicious, I damn near chugged it! I wish I lived nearby because I'd be here every morning.

They don't specified the ingredients, on certain meals. They are blessed to have customers because they're not a close by restaurants that can be visited during a short period of lunchtime.

My go to work lunch spot. Everything has been good so far. They have Pho on Wednesday and it's so good.

Very low quality food. Unacceptably low. Cheap ingredients, stinky greasy oil. Most definitely will not be back and do not recommend this place to anyone who cares about their health. This little nook is located on the first floor of a big building packed with medical offices where I'm sure many come for lunch from. I was here for breakfast burritos twice and regretted both times. I didn't even finish the food during my second visit. Half of the burrito went into garbage. Going to give them an extra star for the girl at the register being extremely polite but that's where any good feedback stops. Sorry, Never again.

Go-to place for a work lunch or a great chai tea latte :) Owner is a superstar, is always on top of it during breakfast and lunch rushes, always gets my order right!

I come here on my lunch from work affordable and healthy options compared to other things in the area and I love how they have their special of the day to switch it up! Their pho, if you get the chance to try it on Thursdays, is also really good everyone at my office orders it.

I used to come here a lot a few years ago for lunch and food was good. Today, I walked in to order and the owner was screaming at her cooks and called them stupid. Unacceptable. Walked out and will not be coming here again.

Food is delicious and the service if phenomenal. One of the best cafes is Beverly Hills. The owner is so friendly and personable, she can provide recommendations which you can't go wrong with any item on the menu. I have been coming here for 2 years straight during my lunch break. This is a great cafe. Right next door to my friend's office. I've been here a few times. Great quality home cooked food. I had the chicken club wrapped today. But the side was epic. It was Curry lentil soup. And by the way, pricing is way normal Pre Pandemic. Not this crazy stuff we're seeing out there. The value is really solid. They could charge more but don't tell them.

Good breakfast place. 3 of us ate here while a family member was being operated on upstairs. I love breakfast burritos and the reviews here didn't seem great. I asked the lady if I should get the burrito or veggie egg scramble and she said the scramble. It was good and a big portion. We also got two eggs bacon and pancakes. They enjoyed their breakfasts too. Oh and the he service was great. The lady was really energetic, attentive to our table, and very nice.

I LOVE THIS RESTAURANT. Mom and Pop shop it's truly a hidden gem. Food is amazing and prices are great too. They have a whole variety of foods. I wish their hours were better but considering they are in a business center it is reasonable.

I'm so over this over priced place. Cafe Alexander is one of those work restaurants that are pricey and low quality but you pay because that's the only place in the building to go. This place is so not worth it. I would at least hope they had decent food for what they charge. 1st the lady at the front is not pleasant at all. She picks and chooses who she wants to be pleasant to. 2nd you can not tweak anything on the menu. I was told I HAD to have eggs in my breakfast burrito or the burrito wouldn't close. So you mean to tell me most of the burritos are out for vegans? Girl what? Then I order a scramble with cheddar cheese. The literally sprinkle the tiniest amount onto the scramble. 3rd. They say they charge $1.50 for 1 can of soda (which is already ridiculous), then at check out they tax a can of fucking soda and it comes to $1.59. I'm so over this place and I rather do the walk to Mickey Fine's. Also they used to put two hash brown in the scramble. Now its 1 but still the same price. They seriously need to get over themselves. **Update. Found hair more than half way through my scramble. I'm over it.***

They're pretty much just doing the classics and doing them well! There's nothing outstanding nor horrible about this place. Just a solid lil cafe. I got the breakfast burrito and like I said, I was classic. I've definitely had better in my breakfast burrito eating career, but it was good! If you're looking for the best food in town, I'm not sure this is your place. If you're looking for some good food, quiet, quick, without the hype then this is your place!

I SEE why this has 3 stars! I walked in, only 1 person ahead of me and I wait. When I order fish & chips she says they only have the specials & menu options. I looked at the specials & I said I'll Have the salad, as she helps the person next in line. I mentioned I was next & she said "you weren't ready!" I said I wanted the salad... She then helped the NEXT person Behind me! Needless to say I walked out! That woman won't get a dime from me THUH

The owner is a nasty human being. I used to come to here every day and today I came and didn't have cash, I just had my CC and they wouldn't accept my credit card because the order wasn't over $5. My co workers and I come here every day, well did. We will not be anymore. Our office is down the street. News Flash it's 2018 and everyone pays with CC. Get with the program or go out of business. Hope the $1 difference was worth loosing customers. Owner was super rude and doesn't have any appreciate for local, everyday customers who are keeping her in business. We will never come here again. Have fun being cheap and going out of business!!

I only have positive things to say about Cafe Alexander. I will keep you updated if anything changes lol. I came in for a couple breakfast sandwiches and I could immediately tell that they were very busy. They work quickly but not rudely, and there is a big difference. I ordered a breakfast avocado croissant and I will certainly be coming back for it again! I also ordered a regular breakfast bagel sandwich and it was definitely good too but the breakfast avocado sandwich is the real winner if you like anything of the sort. Highly recommend this place.

Today was my first time eating at the café Alexander. I have the classic breakfast burrito Caramell espresso. Very reasonable prices. Both work excellent and taste and presentation. I have a recommend Cafe Alexander!

Stopped off here for lunch as the rush hour was over. Had the Cobb salad and it quite great. Service was nice and food arrived quickly.

Today I waited for a cheeseburger for 35 minutes.. and I realized I got charged an extra buck for jalapeños totaling 12.00 I didn't get the jalapeños in my burger!!! Done no more..

I love Cafe Alexander!! They have the tastiest chicken burrito !! The owner and staff are the friendliest people! All there items on the menu are delicious ! Also try there soups of the day! The Spanish meatball and chicken tortilla are the best!!

Terrible cafe. Ordered two teas. The lady used tap water and heated it in the microwave. One tea was boiling hot and the other tea was room temperature. Had one sip and was disgusted. Outside courtyard had many dirty tables with half eaten plates just left. Will never go back.

I'm so delighted I found this little place! Sitting on the south side of Wilshire Blvd, a few blocks east of Robertson is a little cafe you could easily miss. Cafe Alexander is set back away from the sidewalk, its outdoor tables shaded by trees. For all intents and purposes this might as well be one of your standard office cafes. It is humble and unassuming. The inside holds a modest few comfortable tables (although electric outlets are numerous - essential for the laptop crowd), and a jug of ice water for self-serve. I stopped by once while on a walk expecting nothing impressive. But the coffee was very good. To be sure it was not gourmet, but I found it fresh and flavorful. So on the next go-round I decided to try their breakfast sandwich with sourdough bread, cheddar cheese, and bacon. It was perfect! Again, nothing fancy, no adornments of exotic herbs nor rustic bread, but very nicely put together and exactly the kind of comfort food I was in the mood for. Now I'm a regular. They clearly do a hopping business, with several bicycle delivery boys bustling around this busy commercial district. They have daily specials and a very nice array of regular menu items for breakfast and lunch. The staff our very kind and personable. If you are in the area, you might find this little gem a sweet respite from the expensive and posh Beverly Hills bistros it has for neighbors. Hope this helps!

Ordered a simple omelette. Besides it dripping in fat and the hash brown patty swimming in it, the order itself was an ordeal. Seriously, I don't know if the girl was hungover or just born that way, but how difficult is it to get my order, name, address and phone number. So, ok, I have 666 in it but really, 7 times she couldn't get it?! And the address.... honestly. HOW difficult is it to make a simple dish like that....

$7 for a small breakfast burrito with no hash brown. When we called she was 1) rude about it 2)said someone called after placing the order to tell them no hash patty. False. Me and my coworker were both disappointed they didn't have it and were the only two that ordered. This place is notorious for missing items or messing up orders. Food is alright but overpriced. We don't plan on ordering from there anymore.

Today they get one star. I clearly ordered a chicken sandwich and I get a soggy wrap! Always check your order. I want my sandwich

Great pricing for the area- enjoyed an iced coffee and a avocado breakfast sandwich here for under $10, which was really nice. A few tables inside, but also enough tables outside for when the weather is nice enough to permit outdoor dining (fortunately in SoCal, that is often!). Bathroom is in the cedars building it's. Apart of- ask for the code from the person taking your order. Takes a good 10-15 minutes for food to come out (at least for dine in) but well worth it if you have the time. Would recommend for lunch options for anyone working in the area!

They had a fly inside their pastries. They employee told the main person, she just put them back in. They don't care about their customers eating fly eggs. I will definitely not buy anything from this place. I would rate them a zero if I could.

Got the chicken fajita salad. Fresh and a huge portion and good price. My hubz got their Spanish steak sandwich and it was so juicy. I definitely recommend that!! He also got a Mushroom And spinach soup- it was alright but it came with a side. There's outside and indoor seating. Good for a quick lunch break!

Cafe Alexander deserves no stars. The employee/ manager LAUREN is EXTREMELY RUDE and her Customer Service Skills Suck! They are always messing up our orders, small and big, and when we call to complain SHE HANGS UP CONTINUOUSLY. Today we found a HUGE BUG in our Mango Salad and Lauren claims, "We are lying and did that on purpose to get our money back." I have pictures to prove it. People should never eat here again unless you would like bugs with a side of asshole for lunch! ***She forgot half of my food 2 days ago and after waiting for more than an HOUR for the rest of my food I called to ask for a refund. That is when her and her employees continuously clicked on me and after 10 calls or more I had to leave work to go there in person and get my refund. In that moment, Lauren continued to talk down to me in front of other customers.

Solid, good food. I wish there were more places like Cafe Alexander around, really. Simply can not go wrong... eggs, blt, shrimp linguine, salad, whatever! Really consistent and yummy.

My coworkers order Café Alexander quite often here at the office. Their "omelet your way" is the best item to order. For the most part they deliver very quickly, and their delivery guys are great. Yesterday I ordered 3 breakfast burritos and 2 breakfast sandwiches. The sandwiches were perfect. They had the perfect amount of bacon and the bread was toasted to beautiful golden brown. So today, I ordered 4 breakfast sandwiches. And what a huge embarrassing disappointment. After raving to our clients about how great the sandwiches were, I had to feed them four sloppy egg sandwiches on raw bread with no bacon. They looked horrible and they tasted so plain. I cant believe the inconsistency. And this breakfast counted. I was trying to do something special for these clients and I had to feed them a horrible mess. Lesson learned. I wont ban this café, but I will definitely be very specific when I order. I cant have this happen again when I'm hosting an important breakfast meeting.

This is one of my order & deliver places. I've had the club sandwich. It's a big meal! The "sandwich" is cut into 4 separate pieces , with 3 slices of bread, and is good enough for 2 meals! I had to make smaller sandwiches of it all because I couldn't take a bite without it falling apart. Maybe you could even make 3 meals of it, depending on how much food you consume. And it's got bacon. The fries are delish too!! Coworkers frequently order from them so I may be trying this place out again very soon!

let me start by saying if i could give zero starts i would!!!!! takes forever to deliver food, even if you order an hour before and when you finally get your food is incomplete, and when you call to ask about your order they say they are very busy, the phones are ringing and they gotta go. very disappointed with service. and they wont even let you talk to the manager to refund your money do not come here update- i called again today they still havent refunded my money and refuse to let me talk to the manager saying shes only there at 330pm giving you only a 30 minutes window to. catch the manager since they close at 4. the asian lady with the accent just hanged up on me while i was still talking!!!!!!!! they will give you bad service you wont be able to enjoy and eat ur food, and steal your money. i will keep updating until i get my money back from this over priced food. so sad i'm going to have to call my bank to dispute this.

When I called this morning to try and place an order they never picked up, I waited another 30 min and when they finally did pick up all you hear is a lady having a conversation with someone and never acknowledge who was on the line. I called again and no answer. Its not only the answering the phone but they also charge a delivery fee to walk one block down when I can just go to Mari's cafe and they happily walk over with no cost. They also take their sweet time to deliver even after they charge you. I tried again to like this place but they're customer service is terrible! Just to go maris cafe!

This restaurant is your typical office-lunchbox spot. It is generic cafe space - light tan with about a dozen laminated tables for two with another ten tables out in front of the cafe space. They serve breakfast and lunch when they are open. I came in for lunch with a colleague when I was visitng their nearby office. Based on the rave reviews on Yelp, I ordered the Rosemary Turkey Burger ($8.99) on a whole wheat bun with a mixed green salad. It was a standard whole wheat bun with a smear of spicy brown mustard, the hand shaped rosemary ground turkey patty, caramelized onions, pickles, tomato, green lettuce and mayonnaise. The turkey patty was a little bit dry - I think that they press the patty onto the flat top, which pressed out all of the juices. Otherwise, it was a very flavorful burger, and the portion was very generous. I definitely ate the whole thing. The mixed green salad is a little spring mix tossed in vinaigrette with a wedge of tomato, grated carrot, sprouts and a little cucumber. DO NOT come out of your way to come here. But, it is nice to have an inexpensive/decent option for lunch in this area of Beverly Hills that is family owned.

i walked in after work starved af and the menu is huge there's almost too many options. the board had specials and the cute lady at front told me the chicken katsu chicken curry special with rice was super popular today. i heard of this place cuz my coworkers order everyday and they have the best seasoned fries with ranch. so i told her i'm getting the katsu chicken curry special but instead of rice could i get fries cuz i was craving them so bad she said of course. another super sweet last came out and said you have to have rice with it so here's some free fries. i'm legit eating the fries which are delicious per usual but wow the rice with the massive bowl of curry sauce drenched all over shredded lettuce and crispy chicken katsu i'm literally freaking out this lunch is so delicious. if you see the chicken katsu special and GET THE RICE and the fries i'm in heaven

This place always surprises me. I work nearby so I feel like it's the quickest option, and it's always good. But when it gets busy, this place gets busy! It's at the bottom of a office building and like I said it's very convenient. I have waited up to an hour for take out before. Salads, wraps, and their grilled chicken sando are in my lunch rotation. Good iced coffee too!

Alright coffee place in an office building. The food is so-so, nothing spectacular. We had breakfast plates - a smoked salmon salad and a regular american breakfast with two eggs and toast. Service was quite slow due to the number of takeouts they were preparing for others in the building. WIFI is available but not to guests - it was only for the owner and staff.

Nice little breakfast or lunch spot. Food was great and the service was good. I ordered a Cali burger with a side salad. Only thing I didn't like was the burger I got had Dijon mustard and gave it a tangy taste. I personally hate it but decided to still eat it anyway. They should probably let customers know ahead of time. Other than that my visit was a pleasant one!
