Have been traveling up the East Coast for three weeks from DC to NY to Boston. Best coffee we’ve had. Perfect roast. Not over, not under roasted. In an age of fruity, acidic millennial coffee craze, it’s nice to have a touch of fruit, with a warm round roast. Masterfully done, and the play list was on point too!

Google
Beautiful location in Battery Wharf. Grab a cappuccino and take a walk outside to see Bosto Harbor. Cafe is very good. Plenty of outdoor seating. No table service but friendly staff provides what you need at the counter.

Google
Café Amalfi is a fantastic spot with a cozy atmosphere and great service. I stopped by for breakfast and had their breakfast sandwich which was absolutely delicious! The ingredients were fresh, the bread was perfectly toasted packing a bunch of flavor, and bringing everything together beautifully. I also tried the chocolate croissant, which was decent but nothing special compared to everything else they offer. The iced salted caramel cold brew was great, and the cold foam on top was awesome, smooth, flavorful, and just the right touch of sweetness. Overall, a wonderful experience, and I’ll definitely be back to try more from their menu!

Google
Latte♥️♥️ I’m on vacation and had the opportunity to visit this coffee shop. It’s a cute little coffee to go with friends or like me enjoy a book. Coffee was great and the service excellent. Definitely must when visiting Boston.

Google
Carlos and Dania were wonderful! They gave me the best service ever, very kind and friendly. The food was also excellent! It's definitely a place I would return to.

Google
After a run from the North End to Charlestown, I couldn’t wait to sink my teeth into a mocha scone, a blueberry parfait, and the Café Amalfi’s signature sea salt caramel cold brew. I always grab a coffee here when I’m in the North End.

Google
The cinnamon coffee bread is amazing! The staff was super friendly and helpful. Would recommend this as the first stop in Beantown!

Google
Very nice and cozy place. I was surprised that its not visible on google maps, when you are searching for a place for breakfast. So dont be shy come here for breakfast, sandwiches, coffee

Yelp
Was in town for my sisters graduation and stayed with friends in the area. Had to stop for my morning cafe. Cute spot with yummy breakfast sandwiches and a cappuccino .

Yelp
Café Amalfi is our go to spot for our breakfast needs when staying at the Battery Wharf hotel. This café is conveniently located near the Battery Wharf Hotel. No need to drive because the café is located just steps away. Keep in mind, while they are very close, they are not formally apart of the hotel and therefore you cannot charge your purchase to your hotel room. It is perfect for your morning coffee or a quick morning breakfast. The service is very fast and the food is fresh. I enjoy the avocado toast, and any of their Panini sandwiches. They also offer lots of fresh baked goods.

Yelp
This is a great little cafe! It's got so many options for snacks, lunch, and breakfast. Their drinks also range from teas, coffees, sodas, and juices. Perfect for a bite or full meal. We just grabbed coffees today but need to come back to try more of their food, everything looked fresh and smelled delicious. Service was super quick and friendly. There is room to sit and even work with a laptop if you wanted.

Yelp
Came here for a late breakfast while staying at the battery, wharf hotel. This café is listed on the hotels website as a dining option so I asked the barista if I was able to put the charge on my hotel room and she looked at me like I was crazy, laughed, and just said "no". Totally fine but I wasn't able to charge it to the hotel room but didn't appreciate how unnecessarily awkward the encounter had to be when I asked a completely innocent question. I had a latte which was fine, and my partner had a mocha which was a little bit better than mine and very lightly sweet. I was considering ordering a sandwich but then realized they were all premade and reheated so we opted for some croissants instead. The plain croissant was fine but the ham and cheese one was insanely oily for some reason. I'd skip this spot unless in a pinch and then I'd say just stick to a coffee.

Yelp
Fun place with food and drinks. They were a little busy when we went in and so we had kind if a rough experience. They forgot about my drink and one of my friend's sandwhiches was cold in the middle. The coffee was just okay. Food was good. They tried to make things right for me and my friend so that is always appreciated!

Yelp
This is a really cute spot to grab some coffee and/or baked goods! My friends and I were on a walk along the waterfront by the North End and decided to stop by when we saw how nice it looked from the outside. If you're looking for something fast and easy, this is the place to go. Not to mention, you can take a nice walk along the water while enjoying your drink! Granted we were there in a Saturday afternoon, but it really wasn't too busy, so it would make a nice spot to hang out or study. It could even make a good date spot if you're looking for something on the more casual side. I didn't get the chance to try any of their food items, but everything in the display case looked delicious! I'll have to come back to try some of their menu items.

Yelp
I've come here for the coffee a couple of times and it's pretty good for the price. Their mochas have just the right amount of chocolate and aren't overly sweet. My boyfriend and I came here and tried the caprese sandwich and the sausage egg and cheese sandwich. And I was honestly pretty disappointed the caprese was ok, nothing special really. But the sausage egg and cheese sandwich came out frozen in the middle and just wasn't worth it. Overall just come here for a quick coffee and skip the food.

Yelp
I used to like to stop by this place, get a coffee and pastry, and then go sit by the water. I now know that if I arrive on a Sunday afternoon there will be supposedly "no pastries." The first time this happened they had put the pastries away for the day and got one out for me. This time they "didn't have any." If they don't want to bother with food and want to close early, that's what they should do. Instead, they basically close in the afternoon even though they are open until 6:00. Why bother? I'm certainly not going to bother to come here anymore. There are lots of great places in the North End that have both food and coffee.

Kelly D.

Yelp
Expensive but the lattes are good and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating is available.
google avatar

Anushka M.

Yelp
One of the best vanilla lattes I've had! Cafe Amalfi is located near the Wharf and a perfect place to study or get work done. I came in the afternoon and there was plenty of seating available on a weekday. I ordered the Madagascar vanilla latte, a seasonal drink, and a chocolate croissant. Both my croissant and latte were delicious. The latte was the perfect amount of sweetness for me and very warming during the cold weather. The employees were friendly and very quick with preparing my order. The interior is really cute and there's a lot to purchase as well around the store. Overall I had a great time here and managed to get a lot of work done!

Yelp
Great place!! extremely clean, service is fast and everything is fresh. They also sell very unique souvenirs. I had good vibes when I was there.
google avatar

Yelp
Very good sandwiches and cold brew. There chocolate croissants are amazing. Would recommend.

Yelp
Great coffee, service, and location right in the water. Highly recommend their breakfast sandwiches and blueberry muffin!

Yelp
We stayed overnight at a nearby hotel. My husband popped over to Cafe Amalfi get get us a quick breakfast to enjoy at our hotel room. We each had a sausage, egg & cheese sandwich and a latte. Both delicious and a great caffeine boost after an hour on the treadmill. Great breakfast option if we stay nearby again.
google avatar

Yelp
Very cute coffee show with very, very good breakfast sandwiches and a variety of specialty lattes. The service was really nice and I enjoyed my food and beverage. They sell treats for the puppies too which is a nice touch. Modern menu and reasonably priced. I wish that there was a little better of a seating situation inside but I guess that's the struggle coffee shops face. The vanilla latte was out of this world. Mmmmmm.

Jenny C.

Yelp
Rude customer service! Get new employees who know how to read a clock! Refused service at 4pm when it is posted that they close at 5pm. The coffee was ok but the 2 girls working were extremely rude both times we went in.
google avatar

Grace Y.

Yelp
A little confused by all the high reviews, tbh. I ordered their seasonal latte, which at the time was the honeybee lavender latte. I could not taste the coffee at ALL. It just tasted like lavendar-flavored steamed milk, which, I learned, I do not like. Had a few sips before I decided to just throw it away. The venue is nice though! Good for chilling and maybe getting some work done. They have some nice big windows that allow for some natural lighting and have a good amount of outlets scattered about the store. They also sell a lot of local art, which I thought was super cute! But overall, I'm not sure I would come back.

Yelp
Amazing place, fast service and a lot of delicious choices, sandwiches are unique and coffee for all tastes, highly recommended , particularly if you are visiting the beautiful city of Boston.

Yelp
We stayed at the Battery Wharf hotel and decided to try this charming looking cafe for breakfast. Once and done. Good point? Pastry. If you like sweet pastry then this place is fine. The staff was borderline rude. Unhelpful to new-comers and just no warm greeting of any kind. The breakfast sandwiches were partially pre-made, much to my surprise, sitting unappetizingly in a glass case. They were just stacked upon one another. We didn't have time to go elsewhere at this point. Plus I was looking forward to good coffee. Total disappointment. The coffee wasn't even a little bit strong. Colored hot water with creamer. And the breakfast sandwiches? Terrible. My husband's re-heated bread was so dry he was crumbling it to the sparrows flitting around our table outdoors. And mine was just simply unappetizing. I had, however, ordered a sweet croissant as well. That was quite delicious. But overall, we'd have been better served and fed at a fast food choice. Ugh.

Yelp
I have been here to pick up coffee every day while I am staying in Boston. Their coffee is great I became fan of macchiato. Their macchiato is I just ordered at 10:00am for two sandwiches ready for 12:45pm and paid in advance. I came back there at 12:43pm. The sandwiches came out from oven at 12:44pm and handed to me at 12:45pm. It is so warm and wonderful. Yes there are other customers there. They are busy, but they remembered the time and made it perfectly on time! What a service!! And quality!!! Super impressive

Yelp
Good coffee and the breakfast sandwiches are amazing! Cute atmosphere and right next to the wharf.

Yelp
Great little shop attached to the Battery Wharf hotel on the North End. (Awesome hotel btw). Indoor/outdoor seating available. Espresso drinks are great, basic options with a couple seasonal offerings. Offers a few sandwiches, and bakery treats. Great stop if you're walking along the wharf and need a pick-me-up. Friendly staff. I had an americano. Inside atmosphere is chill, basic aesthetics.
google avatar

Meki D.

Yelp
Very cute place with a really good coffee a lot outdoor seating. Stuff is good. They really have a lot of things for the dogs and I'm a dog lover. They should have some umbrellas outside because sun can be really too hot.
google avatar

Ann-Marie I.

Yelp
If you're staying at the hotel on battery war if this is the only place to get morning coffee. The coffee was hot but not particularly strong. Hi I am allergic to eggs and I told the server he suggested a ham and cheese croissant. Back in the hotel room and nibbled on part of the croissant and I pulled out the ham and cheese for the protein then I googled plain croissants and there are egg when you make the dough. I return to the café to tell them and they didn't believe me.. I will never eat there again because there's nothing there in their cases that does not include egg somewhere I'm sharing this for all of you who are also allergic to eggs because servers are treating it like a fad and not a health issue that it is.
google avatar

Yelp
Bustling little Cafe located down by the Wharf. Breakfast and sandwiches served all day. Plenty of coffee, pastries, protein bars and specialty drinks to choose from. Enjoy!
google avatar

Yelp
We were walking the freedom trail and decided to turn back to make our dinner reservation but we stopped at this cafe for a quick refresher. My friend ordered the Blueberry Lemonade and it tasted very good so I ordered one too. It's kind of interesting that you can visually see the differences between the 2 drinks ordered within minutes from each other. One was lighter and the other darker. I am very judgmental in terms of consistency. One clearly had too more blueberry while the other had more lemonade. Either way, it tasted good but would like to see more consistency with the drinks instead of freestyling it, making it a hit or miss experience the next time I visit.

Yelp
Solid but quite pricey. The avocado toast is not toast. It is avocado bread. Tasty avocado bread, but definitely named wrong.

Yelp
- Haven among locals for quality coffee away from rustle bustle of North End tourist town - Crossaints daily fresh baked pastries locally from Fin Point in downtown Boston - Trained baristas with local beans (barrington) - Since they changed owners last year, quality of service has become amazing and the barista Hiram makes personal effort to get to know you in addition to serving best coffee in the area - Keeping it simple with basics in the menu (espresso drinks and crossaints as key staple)

Yelp
Very cute coffee shop with a really good breakfast sandwich! I always like to support local coffee shops when I visit new towns and this one looked super new, clean and well stocked with options. The café felt very clean as mentioned so we were comfortable stopping in amidst covid to get food to-go. The bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwich is so much better than anything you get at a chain shop and was on a delicious cheese bun! I will crave it until I come back to Boston. It was just a little expensive compared to other local options but otherwise a great pick!

Yelp
A great alternative to that other famous coffee spot. Nice atmosphere inside and modern, unique decor. Fernando was our barista, he was very friendly and had a great smile!

Yelp
my favorite place, It is a unique place, where you can enjoy time alone, with friends, family or whoever you want, Not only that the pastry's are delicious, the coffee they handle has an exclusive flavor where you can not find it anywhere, the staff is totally friendly who will make you spend a nice moment in this place. Thanks Cafe Amalfi.
google avatar

Julia T.

Yelp
Delicious sandwiches (cheddar egg biscuit is my favorite), salads and pastries. The Barrington coffees are rich and yummy. I never miss Cafe Amalfi when I'm in Boston.
google avatar

Joey C.

Yelp
The staff do not acknowledge you upon entry or even timely when you are at the register to order. I was there several refs this week and each time it was the same (sad). Today one if the staff was on her cell phone doing whatever while a customer stood at the register to order, and then walked to register still using phone and asking customer what she wanted, so tacky and impersonal. Lastly, the coffee is ok and the food is meh... but it is convenient for hotels in this area. Hopefully management sees this and fixes poor service.

Yelp
This review is specially for the 2 girls who works behind the counter. They were very professional, calm and gave us a great customer service. The place was busy and it is located in a great place. The pastries are fantastic and breakfast sandwiches are very delicious. I was busking with my husband and suddenly we found this place, it was a great surprise. Very happy he found this place for us. And again the 2 girls dealt so well with a huge line and they were so patience.

Peter O.

Yelp
I ventured out here for a study session- and I REALLY enjoyed the coffee I had. I liked the honey bee lavender latte I got as it was warm and calming- which is perfect to calm the nerves but also give a lil energy boost. The notes of lavender with the warm honey and milk contrasted with the coffee in a harmonious way that I'd love to try over and over again.

Yelp
Delicious espresso drinks in a modern Italian cafe setting. Very simple menu with soy options. Pastries available. Staff was very sweet and drinks came out quick. Patio sits off of battery and commercial so you got the wharf behind you and the bustle in front.
google avatar

Sakura T.

Yelp
A good pit stop after a walk around the North End. Lots of seating both inside and outside. Service here is very pleasant, and the interior is really modern and clean. Plenty of natural light which I always appreciate as a young person living in an overpriced Boston apartment with barely any (no shade). Got an almond milk latte. It was good, but kinda pricey for $5-6ish, but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I also didn't feel super excited about the food options (the pastry case seemed a little sparse). But I also came on a Monday afternoon of Memorial Day. I also came here based on what I heard about the affogato, but it wasn't on the menu on that day. Overall though, not a bad option if you're in the North End and want to get away from the crowded coffee shops on Hanover.

Yelp
Excellent cappuccino, breakfast sandwiches (warmed up quickly in a super hot owen). Croissants were sold out but are rumored to be great too. Very cozy and quiet both inside and outside. Lots of beautiful art for sale inside.
google avatar

Tom R.

Yelp
Visiting from out of town. I got the ham and cheese croissant and a Mocha Latte. Croissant was perfectly made (very fresh) and mocha was excellent. They have outdoor seating which was nice on a warm morning. This should be put on your list if you are out for a morning walk and want a good quality cafe.
google avatar

Yelp
I was delighted to find this new Cafe Amalfi location. They serve Italian illy coffee which I find delicious. Inside is a modern European design of white and crisp, clean lines. Pastries, snacks, bottled beverages, along with typical hot and cold espresso drinks. They also have iced coffee and cold brew for the warm days. Service was friendly and efficient. Several tables inside and a few outside as well. I believe they had WIFI available, although I did not utilize it. There is also a single restroom.
google avatar

Christine C.

Yelp
Nice seating outside! Coffee had a good amount of espresso (4 shots in iced latte) & it was clean inside with a bathroom. Great stop before or after walking along the water for some nice views!
google avatar

Lauren G.

Yelp
Great place to stop and take a breather when walking around Boston! Great drink and pastry/snack selection.
google avatar

Cecilia M.

Yelp
Wonderful spot for coffee, tea, and baked goods. They have amazing sandwiches that can be served warm and they have a great little section for outdoor seating. The butterscotch scone was amazing! We went on a cold and dreary day but bundled up with some coffee and great food sitting under the covering was very enjoyable!
google avatar

Lisa Z.

Yelp
Not a coffee drinker so didn't try the coffee. However, the iced tea (red color, forgot the flavor) was very so-so. I expected the flavor to be sweeter. Had high hopes but probably won't return.
google avatar

Brendan T.

Yelp
Ive been to this place twice. Once apx. 6 mo. ago and again today. Ordered the same things and had the same exact experience both times....I ordered a simple large regular coffee and a plain bagel with cream cheese. BOTH times same result so its not a fluke thing. My bagel was hard as a ROCK! not even exaggerating. And the coffee was repulsive, it was bitter and tasted foul to the point of no fixing it up...I poured it out both times. Im not a big review guy but this upset me...$8.00 +2.00 tip and both times its inedible..smh sad, but this place belongs nowhere near the north end...
google avatar

Yelp
Stopped here for coffee and a breakfast sandwich here Saturday morning. The coffee was really good and I enjoyed the sandwich although my friend did not. It's a very loaded sandwich but I thought all of the ingredients went well together. The biscuits the sandwiches come on were so fresh and flakey. Two eggs is a power move too
google avatar

Yelp
I've visited Cafe Amalfi on a few occasions and every time it was great. It's a lovely place with amazing atmosphere, the customer service is not the typical, they always attend me with a smile on face. I love that. I definitely recommend the Affogato, is delicious!!!
google avatar

Gerardo I.

Yelp
I was walking by and notice from the side walk. this is a great coffee shop, these guys really know what their doing, coffee taste great and the vibe is fun, good dessert like authentic gelato and fresh snacks, I'll definitely bring my girlfriend with me next time.
google avatar

Hector R.

Yelp
I fell in love with the place! , the staff was so friendly and polite, the capuccino is a piece of art!. You'll feel happy and recharged for your day after visiting this place!
google avatar

Blanca S.

Yelp
My fist time here and I got a ice tea chai super good I highly suggest you try it. Also they sale really nice flowers like the one in the picture, may I say they have different types of milk and the drinks are very consistent and rich in flavors.
