Cafe & Bar 21

This is probably the best eatery and cafe in Rovaniemi. Their food is unique and delicious and their deserts are out of this world. Also, for coffee connoisseurs, 21 has the best coffee in town. In my experience, the staff was very professional and helpful. The service is prompt.

Amazing, flavorful food with unique comfort food options! I got the Crispy Chicken Waffle and it was so delicious! Additionally I got the Frozen mocktail which was so good, almost like a milkshake! And finished off with the Mint Chocolate Latte which was so amazing I ended up coming back every day after to enjoy! The atmosphere is very relaxed, you can take your seat anywhere and order at the counter when you’re ready. The prices are also very affordable by Rovaniemi standards so if you’re looking for a nice dinner without spending €50+ this is a great spot!

We tried 3 different waffles, the salmon, the chicken and the reindeer one. All of them were absolutely delicious. The portions were pretty big and the price super honest. The cake was not at the same level of the waffle, but still good. I definitely recommend it.

Amazing salmon soup, great introduction for our Finnish food. The waffles were quite nice too. Lovely hot chocolate.

Wonderful experience in the town center at Rovaniemi! Was able to get in during lunch rush and the staff was very kind and helped us with the menu. Not pictured, amazing fries with garlic mayo! Would recommend.

The food is absolutely delicious, the salmon soup was the best in my time in Finland. My husband got a savory waffle and that was also delicious. The chai was smooth and spiced perfectly. Friendly staff and they are attentive and get you seated quickly.

Beautiful bar and restaurant. We came here twice to have both lunch and tea time. The staff is kind and efficient, and the food is so good and high quality.

This place is pretty chic and seems fun to hang out in time permitting. We went during the day and it was quite busy! I ate too many pastries in the morning so I opted for a Caesar salad with chicken. The salad was very large. The salad overall was not bad. Some of the chicken pieces were quite salty and there was a copious amount of dressing on the salad though. I wanted to try a waffle but the chicken had teriyaki sauce which I don't like that much. The other waffles also seem kind of weird (I don't eat shrimp). My husband did like his shrimp waffle though. He didn't mind the copious amounts of mayo on the waffle oddly enough!

This was kind of our Rovaniemi wi-fi base-camp (in pre-free-roaming times). Great hot drinks, good beers, lovely and healthy breakfast, lunch and snack options. Recommended.

In a word - a very modern-chic bar with the best savory waffles I've ever had so far. I love this place, prices are not too bad for Finland, great food - fresh tasty and nicely served and great service, what else does a person need? Longer version for the brave- after a long day of craving for food we all decided this is where we go. Rovaniemi doesn't have many options, but the ones we tried were really good. This place has a somewhat sexy ambience, with slick b&w design and great staff. The waffles are the main thing here, and there is also an iPad with photos of the waffles and cocktail menu. (Spoiler alert- this will make you even more hungry!) what did we have on the table? "balls of meat" waffle, two types of Risotto [Serrano and Salmon] and one reindeer beed potato which I personally did not try. everything looks and smells delicious, the serving is visually pleasing and so is the taste. I enjoyed every bite of my waffle - the wasabi mayo, the onions, cashew nuts, lettuce and beef combine all together to a wonderful feast of flavors, I was so full but didn't want this to end! The Risotto was good but not as good as the waffle, also, if you're hungry the Risotto is not enough at all. My friend decided to go for a sweet waffle with caramel, bananas and whip cream for dessert, and I couldnt hold myself - had to take a bite! I don't know what they put in the waffle mixture, maybe it's just because they're super fresh - but this is SO good. Another friend of ours joined while we ate, and the bartender gave him an extra glass of water without us asking - they know how to provide good service around here. no doubt.

The mixed drinks are creative, beautiful, and delicious. Their Lattes were excellent. I had the funky chicken waffle and loved it. Favorite place in Rovaniemi so far!

Cafe & Bar 21 is a nice cafe and bar in a town with several similar places that serves typical cafe eats and drinks. Their specialties are their waffles of both the sweet and salty variety, as well as rather expensive salads. It's an ideal place for both a casual professional and younger, more sophisticated crowd; or at least that's what they want you to think. The atmosphere is very haughty and the cost of their drinks and dishes are a little steep when compared to their quality. It used to be a nice place, but now it's more or less a run of the mill cafe. Nothing too special, but nice enough if you don't want a ton of loud and obnoxious teens hanging around you while you're having a casual business meeting or get together with friends.

They have sweet waffles and savory waffles. They atmosphere is really chic and the prices are great!

Considered trendy and hip by our local friend Jaakko, it seemed pretty normal to us, we were clearly hippest people in there despite being beardless. it's December and everyone was eating salads. We lounged on the sofas and drank gloggi, their version sprinkled with almonds, hot ad delicious. A nice place to stop, wifi available.

This place is my favourite ever. The savoury waffles are generous and tasty (asian tempeh and funky chicken are both excellent), as are the sweet dessert waffles (cloudberry fudge!!). Love the free and bottomless tea & coffee. Beautiful, light-filled space, fast internet. If it's not too crowded one can feel free to hang out for a bit there to do some work.

If you are looking for a hearty meal on a frigid winter evening, this is not the place. The pasta (basil & mozzarella) was cold. Found both the Finnish and Asian tapas platter average - nothing you won't get from the local deli. Best thing we're the fried prawns (at least there were temperature hot).

This bar place is not open until late the times given by yelp are wrong I walked there last night. At 1015pm and it was already closed. Call the place before you go. The street are full of ice and snow and you don't want to take that walk for nothing.
