A Guide to Venice’s Islands, From Burano to Lido | Condé Nast Traveler

"Perched with views back toward Venice, Café and Bar San Giorgio on San Giorgio Maggiore is a standout spot for spritzes—locals consider it an underrated aperitivo location, especially at sunset when Doge's Palace offers a distant, dramatic backdrop." - Jenn Rice

Great, great service. The food was delicious and the location is amazing. The general manager Samuel Baston was so accommodating and friendly. My wife is in a wheelchair and everyone on the staff made her feel at home. The prices were surprisingly affordable for the high quality of food we received. If I lived near by, this cafe would be my regular place to go.

We (me, my wife and my son) had lunch in this fantastic cafe which has a lovely restaurant upstairs. The bread was absolutely fantastic and the lunch was very delicious. The atmosphere is stunning with a very chilling music. I would also like to thank the lady who was serving the lunch for us. She was exceptionally kind and friendly. Our son was so happy that she gave him a hug. I don't know her name but she is an angel.

We popped in at the San Giorgia Cafe for a quick drink & bite to eat & were greeted by friendly & helpful staff who found us a lovely table & helped us with our selection. The outlook was spectacular & despite being among the many tourists, we felt very welcomed. I highly recommend the cafe!

We had a lovely time at San Giorgi Café after visiting the church and the campanile. We were served by Tommaso, who was not only incredibly kind but also gave us great recommendations. I was there with my two cousins and we truly appreciated the warm service and relaxing atmosphere. We also had the best cocktails in Venice – super fresh and made with real fruit. Highly recommend!

Of our many lovely meals in Venice, this was the finest! I chose this as the default option on a visit to the splendid Fondazione Giorgio Cini, but was unprepared for how elevated the cooking would be, and how warm and thoughtful the setting. Couldn't have had a nicer afternoon.

We had the loveliest breakfast with our two young kids here. It was such a beautiful and peaceful patio. The food was delicious and staff were very kind to us. Would recommend to anyone looking to grab a bite by some gorgeous sailboats!

Great place to rest. I enjoy the service there. Beautifull view without thousands of tourist. Highly recomended to visit.

The perfect spot for some lunch after visiting the photo exhibition, away from the hustle and bustle of Venice. The food was a lovely change from the main tourist places too - lighter, fresher, tastier. The staff were really friendly. The chef’s modern version of a (deconstructed) Tiramisu was brilliant, with a crunchy biscuit and intense classic flavours! All enjoyed with a nice view over to Venice.
