The Barnett (New Orleans, Louisiana) 20 Hotel Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"There’s no place in the American South better suited to the boutique-hotel aesthetic than New Orleans, perhaps the most colorful city in the country. And it’s hard to imagine a better building for the task than this Twenties Art Deco edifice, in the newly revitalized Warehouse District." - Tablet Hotels

I visited this café attracted by its beautiful atmosphere and impressive décor. I only ordered a simple espresso and a brownie for my wife—just a coffee and a sweet treat. The place had only two tables occupied: myself and another couple. Even with the café almost empty, the service was extremely inattentive. The server forgot to bring my coffee and served the brownie cold, despite our request for it to be heated. When we asked again, it took another five minutes, and she still forgot the coffee. The service was simply unacceptable—careless and disappointing in every way. The coffee was just average, the brownie also no more than average, but the poor service ruined the entire experience.

Great little coffeehouse with a delicious, chill /approachable hipster vibe. I loved the carrot cake overnight oats - healthy AND yummy (coconut cream, almond milk, shredded carrots, pumpkin seeds, and more.) My honey enjoyed his tuna salad sandwich on marble rye. The gluten-free peanut butter banana loaf cake slice had a tender and moist crumb, full of flavor.

Coffee is made to order but the food is not. Everything is prepared in advance. Good for grab and go types of fare. Enjoyable atmosphere with a relaxing funky vibe.

Walked in at 630 to get fuel for a conference and this place was spinning old Beatles vinyl and making great coffee. I was pleasantly suprised. Pastry comes in at around 7, but still a win with fridge oats and some grab n go options.

We stayed at The Ace Hotel, and having direct access to Lovage was so convenient. The breakfast sandwich was delicious, the coffee was made with love and style, and they had a great atmosphere. We loved it here! :)

Jason is super great vibes and is preserving the spirit of the original Stumptown. I come here whenever I'm in the area. The only issue with this cafe is, every single time I come here workers are pushing metal carts through the back hallways and on the brick floor it is INCREDIBLY LOUD AND AGITATING. It is unclear what they're always doing. Has it ever occurred to you guys to put down a runner carpet to stop the wheels from brutally clattering and destroying the vibe in the entire hotel? Or do you want it that way? This kind of activity is doing a violence against your own customers and is basically saying you're rather attack us than create a cool environment, which probably explains why this place ends up changing hands so much. Nobody is aware at all and the executives think it's a mystery why people don't hang out here. It's because of the BRUTAL energy attacks against us by these stupid metal carts, a problem which is very easily solved.

The service, coffee quality, and maintenance of the space has gone way downhill since the Hyatt took over a few weeks ago. On a recent visit, they had one person working on a Sunday. To the surprise of no one, that means service is slow. They replaced fresh fruit with $3.50 candy bars from the vending machine lol

Yelp
Came here for coffee and breakfast Friday morning with my friend (we are staying in the hotel upstairs). The Peach Cobbler latte and Blossom Shakerado are delicious. Our barista, Cameron, was truly great - she was pretty busy and manning the counter alone for the 90 min or so we were hanging out but our drinks were perfect - perfect temperature, so yummy. And she was really chill & friendly. The crowd is a mix of hotel guests and ppl who live & work in the neighborhood. Will return!

Yelp
Good product. Rude employees, machine like and no character. No, cash business, but a tip jar on the counter

Yelp
Best scone I ever had. Super soft and flavorful. This place is connected to a hotel I believe so it doesn't stay open long in the afternoon. We were the last customers and the barista was very nice and patient. The space is amazing. Kinda you can sit with a friend and yap and drink for a few.

Yelp
A nice cafe with a classy vibe! Their matcha was pretty good with lavender cold foam. The staff is very friendly and nice. There are a couple chairs and window bar seats for relaxation.

Yelp
Great selection of coffees and teas including signature drinks both hot and cold. Breakfast items available. A little on the slow side so if you're in a hurry, probably not the best choice but I was not so it's a very nice environment to chill. Plenty of art magazines and games to review. 3 stars mainly for the really slow service and lack of friendliness. No greetings when you are at the counter just simply wait till you're addressed. No way to know when that will be or who may have ordered without addressing fellow customers. Open 06 to 6pm weekdays and 07 to 8 pm on Friday and Saturday

Yelp
We were staying at the sister hotel next door and needed to kill time before going to the airport. Had the Ship Wreckt (without alcohol) which has caramel, banana, matcha and oat milk. SO GOOD. Great vibe. They are always busy in the mornings!

Yelp
Cute cafe at our hotel. Great vibes and picture perfect! Good for a quick coffee or pastry
