We ordered the lamb shank, veal soup, and cabbage rolls. Everything was reasonably priced, came out quickly, and was super delicious. We also got the walnut cake and one other cake, which were also amazing. I have been wanting to try this place for a while, and now that I have, I will be back for sure!

You get best of the best, Add this restaurant. The food is made with fantastic ingredients. She treats you like a family and Make you the tastiest food ever. The quality of the food service and the company is exceptional. I just wished she had more locations across Scottsdale in North Phoenix. Elizaveth You are the best and thank you so much for the wonderful experience! We will definitely come back here with all of our friends and family!!! Thank you for your great hospitality!!!

The food was absolutely delicious, we got cevapi and sarma and we'll be back to have the goulash and pljeskavica! It's been recommended by my partner's family who is from Phoenix over and over again and I finally got to try it while visiting Phoenix from Australia with my partner!

I must apologize before I start, I'm almost a lvl 8 reviewer with almost 9 million views on Google and hundreds of reviews under my belt & I do not believe I have ever had to rate a place this low, but we were very disappointed maybe because it cant compare to the the real thing we just had overseas, this place really had no heart and soul, a bit too high priced for the quality food you get. No real flava, no soul, have to order at counter and they bring it too you but it was like being serviced by a zombie all smiles, say the least possible & serve the food. Supposed to be like a mom & pop place but we just didn't feel it. Aesthetically the food looked better then it tasted was kinda bummed. My said her lamb was super salty, I tasted it and the sauce and yes it was very salty she left most of it over and my gyros were just kinda mediocre, missing the typical nice flavor that should come from the spinning char, , the best thing we had there was the bread that came with the lamb & the salad. I was very surprised by the amount of 4 & 5 star reviews, that is what attracted us to try this place but I noticed most that reviewed had 1-10 reviews so most likely friends and family or we just came in on a "bad" day and they got it all wrong. Whatever it is we most likely won't return.

Family owned businesses, excellent staff service, Rada the owner, is very attentive, and very busy, you can see her in the kitchen area, and next minute preparing a coffee, and still makes time to explain and answer all your questions. Food is nice and tasty (mostly Balkan and Mediterranean), served freshly done, with prices accordingly. I wouldn’t say it is a fancy restaurant, but is clean and tidy, and you feel this familiar atmosphere around you. We loved it. Thank you.

Very good food!! Traditional beef goulash with fluffy bread and tender veal. 10/10. The service was friendly and quick! The cevapi are also fantastic!

If you’re anywhere near this place, you must stop in. Radmila, the owner does it for the love and uses authentic family recipes. She will make you feel like family with her warmth and hospitality. The goulash was rich, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. I loved the lamb shank, which is saying a lot because I normally don't like gamey meats. It was hands down the best I’ve ever had—perfectly seasoned, melt-in-your-mouth tender. Fantastic food & amazing service!

Decided to try Cafe Balkan for the second time today as my first time experience was great. Ordered the Goulash! It’s hard to decide what to get since all their entrees seem so delicious! The consistency of the mashed potatoes is phenomenal and the beef has a combination of extraordinary flavors, never tried anything like it before! Also had their Gluten Free Walnut cake and it was through the roof. It wasn’t sweet and overwhelming like 90% of American Desserts. Will be back for some more cake!
