Cafe Barfuß

I ordered the Salmon with spinach casserole/Auflauf. 🤤 It was really good and very much filling. Too bad I wasn’t able to secure a table for myself since it was a Saturday lunch time when I arrived there so better to make reservations since the place is not too big so it can be easily packed people. But taking my order to go was also not a bad idea because I just took a short walk to the castle 🏰 and sat on a bench. Great view and good food. see the photos

Nice location for fast food. Opens until very late and is great during an evening out. The location is close to the Marburg city council and allows one to enjoy the old town views. Loved the Schnitzel but the mushroom sauce was cooked in tomato sauce, wasn’t so nice. The cocktails were great and we really enjoyed them. Everyone ordered extra rounds. Great views of the Marburg old town

We had a wonderful lunch here today. I had the spaetzels special and my husband had the chicken casserole with pasta. The waitresses were attentive even though they were hopping from table to table. The atmosphere is wonderful with nice tables spaced well and comfy seating.

Great cozy cafe. Ideal for a mid day coffee break or a lunch. The place is designed and decorated perfectly to match the vibe of a 19th century bar.

Best Casserole /Auflauf in Marburg. I recommend the tomato gnocchi basil version or the spicy ground beef with potatoes and peppers. It’s a small place But well worth the wait

Very nice and cozy cafe in a beautiful neighborhood. The food was splendid - hands down the best casserole we have tried in Marburg! The service was very amicable and made us feel super comfortable. In all aspects 5/5! We will definitely come back!

A delightful, and delightfully named, little restaurant serving well prepared classic German food and and western food more generally. The location is wonderful, right in the heart of Marburg's old town (Altstadt). Very picturesque. The interior is warm and definitely "cosy". My main critique of the interior was probably that it was incredibly tightly packed when they had a full house. The service staff were very friendly, but slightly on the slower side. I think they are also basically bilingual (German and English speaking). Lastly, if they were able to improve the experience for vegetarian customers, that would be nice. Like by having a 'V' on the menu items which are vegetarian.

We ordered what was supposed to be a lava cake (it wasn't good), a hot chocolate and a coffee. The waiter was very rude, I just asked him if they had any cold coffee and he told me they didn't, so I asked if they could put ice cubes on it and he very rudely said no. So I had to ask the other waiter, who was kind enough to give me ice cubes on the side.

Meiner Ansicht nach eine Café in dem man Mittags mal eben schnell was essen gehen kann. Z.B. Einen Käse-Schinken-Auflauf, der nicht schlecht schmeckt, aber auch nicht überragend ist (der Preis ist in Ordnung) Für ein wirkliches Abendessen sollte mab woanders hingehen!
