Café Botánico

Very delicious breakfast, it feels like Puerto Rican/European the Breakfast Croissant were very delicious, and the cafe is very unique very good. Kevin attended us very sweet person handled us with care. The environment here is phenomenal I enjoyed every moment in this little cafe in El Viejo San Juan.

I only got a coffee there because i wasn't hungry, but i really love the vibe of the place and the coffee was also really good

Stumbled upon this coffee shop while walking around Old San Juan and loved it. I ordered a strawberry matcha with oat milk and it was one of the best ones I've had. The barista who took my order was so kind and the vibes were very chill. It's a really cute spot to stop for a quick rest, chat, and take pictures. Definitely recommend!

this cafe was amazing! everything we ordered was great and the atmosphere was perfect. we ordered a caramel and vanilla iced latte and it was absolutely out of this world! the flavors were not overwhelming and the coffee was just right. Alongside, we ordered the breakfast burrito that came with a salad and that also was amazing . The BEST part of the entire experience was the rum cake! we came back a few times in hopes to get more rum cake but it sells out quickly but with good reason! definitely give this coffee shop a try ! OH and the limeade was great too:)

Incredibly underrated cafe in Old San Juan. My husband and I have been on the hunt for the best coffee in Old San Juan and their brew is definitely top tier. We had a hot americano, a lavender latte and a tomato and cucumber salad. The salad was delicious and refreshing, a treat after indulging on one two many amazing fritters in the island. The atmosphere, design and service of the cafe is impeccable. We also appreciated the care and attention to detail the staff invested in the beautiful plants. I highly recommend.

My friends and I enjoyed delicious and reasonably priced coffees and lunch bowls and were graciously allowed to stay and work on our laptops for several hours with our luggage while we waited to head to the airport. We are so grateful for the great food and accommodating service!

We stopped in for some drinks were wandering around and the place took us by surprise! Also, the drinks were delicious. We had both coffees and alcoholic drinks, and everything was great.

You MUST visit cafe botanico. I had breakfast here with my friends while on vacation and almost shed literal tears at how absolutely delicious and fresh EVERYTHING is. Why tears then? Because going back home and knowing cafe botanico is so far away from me is actually painful. Huge surprise, I had the best matcha I've ever purchased from here and I make matcha at home daily--didn't expect to even find matcha in PR on vacation. Best coffee I had in old San Juan. Big bonus--everyone who works here is so so so so nice. Very cute and nice ambiance. Not a ton of seating but there is a larger picnic style table for big groups. Tip--the online menu isn't up to date. I think that's because everything is made fresh daily and they have a different menu constantly. Don't waste your time checking the menu, just go.

Came here for a cold drink to refresh from all of the walking in old San Juan. The cafe is so beautiful and sitting in here was relaxing. I ordered a matcha latte with oat milk and enjoyed it very much. It had a slight hint of (cinnamon?) or something that tasted different from the matcha lattes I've had before. The baristas are welcoming and helpful! Very yummy and 100% recommend making a stop here.

What an aesthetically pleasing cafe! Stopped in for a quick coffee but ending up sitting down to try some of their house made pasta which I thought was light but flavorful - just what I was looking for in the hot climate. My wife and I each had cold brews and they were very good. Staff was friendly and bilingual which helped haha the person who rung me out even brought the pasta and coffee to me where I was sitting, very much appreciated! I recommend stopping by while exploring old San Juan to get a boost of energy and enjoy the company of locals and tourists.

Love this cute spot for coffee! Adorable place to sit and enjoy your coffee and the staff were super friendly. I love supporting small businesses. I don't have much to say since all I got was a latte. The coffee wasn't bitter or felt overly strong. Smooth and tasty.

What a great place! We needed a light lunch and something cold. This didn't disappoint. We each had a cold brew. It's somehow sweet and very smooth. We each had a bowl as well. One with the mash of the day (mashed potatoes with pumpkin), ground beef, and a sweet been mixture. The other had pasta, ground beef, and a sweet tomato salad with strawberries! Both were balance very well and were just right proportions. The inside is cool and botanical with all the plants on the walls and around. Service was friendly and quick.

Food and coffee were good. However, beware, they do not honor their hours of operation. I came here at 10 am, their opening time, and they did not open until 10:30. This was our last day in Puerto Rico and had to Uber to airport by 11. We chose this place because it opened at 10 am and we'd have enough time but their careless decision to open late messed up our day. The staff is also incredibly rude. I knocked on their door at 10:15, well after their opening time, and asked what time they'd open their door. He rudely said "when we're ready". La comida y el café estaban bien. Sin embargo, cuidado, no respetan sus horarios de atención. Llegué aquí a las 10 am, hora de apertura, y no abrieron hasta las 10:30. Este fue nuestro último día en Puerto Rico y tuvimos que ir en Uber al aeropuerto a las 11. Elegimos este lugar porque abría a las 10 am y tendríamos tiempo suficiente, pero su decisión descuidada de abrir tarde arruinó nuestro día. El personal también es increíblemente grosero. Toque a su puerta a las 10:15, mucho después de su horario de apertura, y les pregunté a qué hora abrirían la puerta. Dijo groseramente "cuando estemos listos".

Such a beautiful and chill environment. Coffee and tea's delicious. Also offering milk alternatives. Staff very friendly and love the artist vibe.

so cute, i'm obsessed with the vibes. i had a breakfast burrito. it came with a salad, so i left feeling very satisfied. i also got an iced chai with espresso. super good. they also have ground coffee to buy. the barista was very nice and spoke both english and spanish. so cute, be sure to check it out.

Good food and atmosphere at Café Botánico! Unfortunately, 2 of the staff were very rude to our group that was enjoying brunch. If you go to this coffee shop, plan to whisper quietly at your table and withhold all laughter if you do not want to be scolded by multiple staff and threatened to be removed from the property!
