I love this cafeteria, it has a cozy atmosphere and the cats are too cute to be true 🥹 ! We order a crepe and a coffee, both really good :) You cannot pet the cats unless they come to you but just being around them is really nice! I will definitely return

A visit to Casa del Gato — home to five wonderful cats 🐈🐈‍⬛ I’ve been to many cat cafés in different countries, but few match the quality of this one. The cats are well cared for, and there are clear rules to ensure their comfort — this isn’t just a business, it’s a true sanctuary. For example: don’t pet a cat unless it comes to you, no feeding or carrying, etc. Pedro was a hearthrob though - he came to us instantly and demanded lots of pets and cuddle 🤗 The backyard garden is secured with a cat net, allowing fresh air to circulate — as a result the café doesn’t smell of cats at all, unlike some places with too many cats with closed door or windows. The owner and staff are incredibly friendly, and the food is great too, with mostly vegan or vegetarian options 🍵🌿 A must-visit in Zurich if you’re a cat lover 😻

I love it here! I wanted to bring my girlfriend somewhere nice and I think it’s a really unique date idea. The staff were super friendly and very welcoming! We had two drinks a crepe and a banana cake and it was delicious. All the cats are very cute and overall i think it’s a very nice place to go. We will definitely be returning! 🤗

Nice place to have lunch with some cats! The cats are nice, but the cafe does have strict rules about not approaching them or petting them unless they come up to you, which is understandable. The cats will mostly mind their own business, but it’s nice to be around them. The vegetarian chicken burger was great, as was our sweet crepe with ice cream! Service can be kind of slow depending on how busy it is. We got a reservation online ahead of time, you can book a time slot. There’s a patio in the back if you want to be outside.

You love cats? You respect them and the workers? Then this place is the one you should visit. The employees are super friendly and nice, furry but not in a weird way. Obviously the service personal is awesome as well 😂.

This place is charming and such a treat if you like cats! We had a great time learning about the ‘boys’ and reading their bios… and getting a few pets in too! The place is very mellow and the 5 boys clearly are well loved and taken care of. The crepes are fantastic and learned this from our Swiss friend. It was a treat to add this place to our vacation plans. The ‘boys’ will forever be in my heart! 💜

A cat cafe where you're not allowed to touch the cats. On top of it, staff are very selective to whom the rules apply: If you're a cute girl, the owner will spend time explaining you things about the cat and letting you pet it. If you're a dude, no matter if you follow the rules, the staff will shoo you away from petting the cat. Food completely overpriced. Do not recommend.

Unfortunately I read the reviews only after having had my own disappointing experience. One reviewer called it a cat museum, and I believe this is right on the nose. A cat cafe where one is not allowed to interact with the cats is not exactly what anyone expects from a place like this. I felt surveilled the whole time: our every move was being watched. The owner even jumped up one time with a look on his face as if looking to reprimand us as soon as there was any cat related commotion. We however were good little boys and girls and had nothing to do with the action. It was a bored out Maine Coon was just chasing a fly. A little bit of excitement in his life! We only had drinks here, so I can’t say anything about the food. The surprise of this being a cat museum defined our choice quickly not to spend more time or money here, as I feel that it’s nothing more than false advertising. The vibe inside was very stuffy, sleepy, and boring, also we felt as if we were disturbing the peace by being there, and speaking at a louder volume than whispering. I thought it was a shame - about a cat cafe where any interaction with the cats is forbidden. If you are visiting in order to get to pet a cat or just hang out with them - I would recommend a stroll around the neighborhood. Chances are that you will run into neighboring cats and have a more enjoyable cat interactions than in this cat museum. I will not be coming back.
