My husband and I were coming thru Nashville and got there pretty late around 10 and decided to swing by this place. We really wanted some good coffee and hadn’t had dinner yet, so this seemed like a solid spot to try! The atmosphere is nice and there was a party happening at the time, so it seemed well liked. We got our coffee, mine was iced and pretty weak, and my husband got something hot which was pretty good. The kitchen was closed when we got there for the cook to take a break, so we hung out and enjoyed ourselves. Once it reopened, I ordered a grilled cheese and tomato soup, my husband got the burger. It wasn’t until everything came out and after we had paid when we were told that they didn’t have tomato soup and I could get a side salad or fries instead. I really wanted the soup, so it was frustrating not getting that, having already paid for it as I could have just gotten some thing entirely that I’d have wanted. I got a side salad, but just lettuce, tomato, and onion, super simple. The grilled cheese was delicious, but very heavy since the soup wasn’t there to balance with it. My husbands burger was very cold and his fries were beyond salty. My sweet potato fries weren’t and they were delicious and crunchy, but I do hate it for my husband because it’s like they did his first dish entirely and then worked on mine after the fact. Overall, the lack of soup could have been handled different and checked on, and my husband meal being cold could’ve been avoided. We did go and try the tiramisu and cannoli which we were a little disappointed to hear the tiramisu wasn’t made in-house anymore, but it was still delicious alongside the cannoli which is made in house. I imagine when passing thru that we would stop by again, probably just to hang out for desserts and coffee or tea. The new owner I believe was very nice and said he’d just taken over about a year ago, so maybe once a better routine is established, little things like this can be worked out! There’s definitely a lot of potential!
