Cafe Continental

This is the place to watch the life of Maputo walk by. Good coffee served with old-world European touches like doilies under the glass of water accompanying your espresso. Sparse, art-deco-style decor with huge windows that overlook a prominent intersection in the heart of Maputo's oldest district. Walk two blocks in any direction from here, and you'll see alot of the faded Portuguese-colonial 1960s glitz (amazingly flamboyant neon signs, though few of them work any more) that is old Maputo's charm -- those who have been to Cuba say the area reminds them of similar charms in Havana. The cafe is not a proper restaurant, and while it has great pastries and drinks, it's mainly good for atmosphere.

One of the worst places to eat in Maputo, thanks to the bad service. You wait for so long and the food is so overpriced that you do not enjoy any of the experience. The 2 star rating is based on the location, in downtown Maputo.

Clean and friendly cafe with tasty toasties in a great location. Not friendly enough to share the WiFi password sadly. Perhaps my faltering Portuguese is to blame.

Firstly is a excellent location because you can go anywhere after drinking o cafe e pao....it is ok to sit down justly without any thoughts~~

A well located venue that serves good clean international cuisine....coffee and milk tarts are good ......

Burgers are good and they use freshly baked buns.
