Sadly there are two reviews blended into one here, one positive, and one slightly negative. Firstly the food was great and the portions were massive, so nobody goes hungry here. Our breakfast consisted of the English breakfast, breakfast buns, and pancakes, all were great and kid friendly food options always helps. The coffee is delightful, both hot and cold, it really hits the spot. Certainly a good start to the day, whether it's breakfast or brunch I'd recommend this place.
Now for the negative part...the staff aren't the friendliest, or maybe it's just the restaurants policies, and the staff requests came across as slightly rude. We were sat down for two minutes before being told our 1 year old couldn't wear his crocs shoes on the seat, so out if respect we took them off his feet. We weren't offered a highchair or anything, simply told to take them off the seat (which is clearly wipe clean anyway). Our 5 year old autistic son was also told he couldn't eat his orange at the table and I had to sit outside on the street with him whilst he ate it. I have an understanding of not wanting to dirty the seating, fair enough, but to not allow a child an orange, that's just plain wrong.
5 stars for the food. But you need to have some leniency for very young children.
