Cafe dal Mare

Best Cannoli I've had in California all up and down the state. Such incredible detail and simplicity to their cream and shell. I must've had 8 in the course of two days they were so good. We also took a box of em when we left town too. I would drive from Los Angeles to Carmel just for these Cannoli again. This is a non-negotiable.

This Italian café offers an excellent selection of pastries and ice creams. We tried the famous Pistachio Ricotta Cake, and I was taken aback by the $12 price tag for a slice. However, it was absolutely delicious - heavenly, in fact! I've never had such a flavorful cake that wasn't overly sweet. It was definitely worth it. We also had the mocha, which was just average. Service was slow and the space felt a bit cramped for the number of customers.

We stopped by Café Dal Mare after getting sandy toes at Carmel Beach — the pastries were amazing and the coffee was delicious! We’re definitely coming back!

Imad the owner was very hospitable and welcoming and i highly recommend getting the black cherry gelato and the matcha vanilla latte. Perfect after dinner treat. Street parking available

This is such a quaint delight. The owner is positively a joy. I am gluten free and she was able to accommodate. I had the GF brownie and an iced caramel latte. They also have several drink options. If you find yourself in Carmel do not miss out on this sweet cafe.

Andrew is absolutely amazing! He asks about your day and he genuinely cares! He made my girlfriend a special day with a slice of cake! The coffee is amazing!

The quality of both products is clear, and they make for a satisfying treat. 🚫 No Gelato Samples: A major disappointment here is the strict no-sampling policy for their gelato flavors. This makes it difficult to try new flavors or be sure of your choice, which is a significant drawback, especially when you're paying for a scoop. 🤔 Overall Impression: Cafe Dal Mare serves good coffee and gelato, but the lack of an option to sample flavors is a major negative. It takes away from the experience and makes it a bit of a risk. While the products are good, this policy would make me think twice before returning.

BEST SPOT FOR Gelato! No other place in Carmel to go. This is the spot. Open supper late, perfect light night cafe with the best pastries. The service is excellent, very attentive and respectful. Wonderful experience 10/10 will be making this a regular spot!
