Great coffee, but disappointing treatment.
I’ve been a loyal customer for years and have always enjoyed the quality. Today, I bought a 1-kilo bag (normally I get 250g) and paid over €40 — already a hefty price. When I asked for a bag to carry it home, they wanted to charge extra. What bothered me wasn’t the fee itself, but how I was spoken to — dismissive and small-minded. I ended up declining the bag out of principle.
Strangely, they were happy to offer a free coffee (which likely costs more), but couldn’t offer a simple carry bag to a regular customer?
It left me genuinely disappointed. Loyalty should mean something, and today it clearly didn’t. The coffee’s still great — one of the better boutique options in Spain — but after this experience, I’ll be exploring the other excellent cafés nearby. How you treat people matters, especially when you’re charging premium prices.
