"The Most Romantic Café Con Leche Café de La Concha is a perfectly satisfactory café for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. However, what it does really well is sit smack dab in the middle of La Concha Beach. This means there is no place more picturesque to take a morning coffee than its terrace, which has views of the bay and the surrounding mountains. If you are in town for Semana Grande, it's the spot to be for fireworks watching, just make sure to reserve a spot for dinner."

Café de la Concha is one of those places you stumble upon and instantly want to return to. The coffee is excellent, and the food is even better. We tried the Tradicional cheesecake, the Lemon sponge cake, and a bikini—all of them were outstanding: soft, fresh, spongy, with just the right amount of sweetness. They were so good we couldn’t resist coming back for this merienda a couple of more times. The staff were warm and friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable. A heads-up: you pay at the bar near the entrance after your meal, which keeps things relaxed and informal. Add to that the stunning views of Playa de la Concha and the chilled-out atmosphere, and you’ve got the perfect spot for a coffee break (or two). Highly recommend!

This restaurant is underrated! We ate here both nights. Right on the beach with views and food on the menu is amazing. Go the tuna tataki, spinach and red fruits salad, beef cheeks! Borja our waiter was A1! Thanks so much 😊👌

Google
Tourist trap, avoid so many better places in San Sebastián. Sat outside as told it was table service but no one came, checked the menu and a glass of txakoli for €9. Seriously it’s less than €3 everywhere else. Fortunately left before we ordered.

Google
Café de La Concha deserves a much higher rating than it has. The atmosphere is unbeatable. Sitting right on the beach, watching the sunset over the Bay of San Sebastián, is simply enchanting. The service was another highlight. On a hot day, we asked for ice with our first order, and every time we ran out they brought more without us even asking. The staff were genuine, attentive, and fun, making us feel truly welcome. The food was fresh and very good, with great dishes that carried a local twist. Everything came together to create a relaxed, memorable experience that went far beyond what we expected from the reviews.

Google
Rude and Terrible! Service at this place is the worst I have seen in Spain on top of that, We waited 40 minutes for simple lunch dishes - that at best was average. With many beautiful spots in San Sebastián, definitely do not go to this one.

Google
Great location if you want to sit on the beach. At times gets super busy so you may not get the seats view a view which is the whole point really. Food is good. Somehow due to location perhaps everything is a bit pricier than other places for the same kind of items. Had a variety of tapas and wines as a big group. Service also gets clogged once it’s busy. We had missing items that never arrived. You will have to catch the waiter and remind them. Lovely setting, was worth trying out.

Google
Fabulous service from Borja and Joane. We came 2 nights in a row because it was soooo good. Service fabulous, food fantastic. The tuna tataki to die for. The spinach salad, the scollops, the beef cheek, the calamari all fabulous. Compliments to the chefs and thank you for sharing the salad recipe 🧡💚

Yelp
The service was absolutely terribly. The two waitresses acknowledge that we had not yet been greeting at our table and wanted to order. Ignoring us for over 15 minutes, they cleared other tables first and then waited on a couple that had just arrived. Speaking to the manager, the two waitresses said that they didn't see us, which is impossible. Stay away from this place, unless you have time to wait.

Yelp
Great views of the beach from both inside and outside (where I sat). I enjoyed breakfast/brunch here two days in a row. The first day I missed the breakfast specials (served 9 am to 11 am) but ordered an espresso and double-decker omelette. The espresso was a bit bitter for my taste but it was still a great meal for about 6 euro. Then, today, on my last day in San Sebastián, I came around 9:30 am and had the Spanish omelette breakfast. For 7 euro, it included a slice of omelette, coffee (I chose and Americano - still bitter but a bit easier to drink), fresh orange juice, and toast with olive oil and tomato sauce. I enjoyed the olive oil and tomato sauce on the omelette! I had a table right above the beach outside. I would have stayed longer but I needed to pack up and leave San Sebastián unfortunately.

Yelp
This is a pretty building in a beautiful location. (Americans with negative comments, think about the places along any beach shore like San Diego, Clearwater or Miami) The food is not what you visit for--it's all about the scenery the people watching and just having an apéritif al fresco. The Chamay was a surprising find. What is not to adore of San Sebastian and it's people?

Yelp
Amazing views, horrible service. Waitress rolling eyes. Food is beautiful, but super expensive. There's good food in San Sebastián, go find it elsewhere.

Yelp
My husband and I had spent the day enjoying the wonderful beaches of San Sebastian and decided we weren't quite ready to head back to our hotel just yet. So we got a few snacks while admiring the water. I got tea, he got a gin and tonic. We shared some rather tasty fried calamari and an unexpectedly delicious tortilla with chorizo. Prices were touristy and the service perhaps could have been better, but we were enjoying ourselves too much to notice all that much.

Yelp
Honestly, if I could have given this zero stars I would have. I have nothing bad to say about the food because I didnt have any of the food. We arrived and sat on the patio overlooking the beach. There were two waiters, but none were attentive. When we asked for a menu the waiter snapped at us and said he was busy. It took about 10 minutes for the waiter to pass us by for a second time and we happened to get the menu from another table he had just left. After looking over the menu it took another 10 minutes for him to return to our table. When I asked about an item on the large menu he gave me a disgusted look and said the kitchen was closed. We order some food, but the waiter continued to be rude to us and other guests so we decided to leave. When we went inside to tell them to cancel the order the waiter and the bartender were yelling at each other in front of the guests. Needless to say this was one of the worst displays of service I have ever seen!!! If you want to have GREAT pinchos at a great price and still have a view of the ocean walk about 50 meters to Narru. That place is amazing and I havent had a bad pincho. We had 4 pinchos and two beverages for 18 euros.

Yelp
The Cafe de la Concha was conveniently located right in front of our hotel in San Sebastian, and was our spot for pre-beach dining and relaxation. With a perfect view of the Playa de la Concha, handsome clientele and delicious food, life seems pretty perfect here. They also have free wifi with a very wide bandwith - muy importante for international travelers. One afternoon, the three of us each ordered their seafood pasta salad. Portion sizes were enormous. So big, we could have probably shared one order. A bed of crisp romaine lettuce was topped with cold fettuccine noodles, delicious smoked salmon, Spanish tuna (this is not your typical "Chicken of the Sea"), crabmeat, shrimp and shredded carrots. Dressed with a light vinaigrette, this is the ideal beach food - fresh, crisp and light. It's also diet friendly if you eat around the pasta. ;) We had several bottles of Txakoli wine here (local Basque country wine), as well as their deliciously refreshing Txakoli Sangria. Service was hit or miss; seems to be the norm in Spain. So grab your beach towel and head to the cafe before you get your tan on. Don't forget your sunscreen!

Yelp
I've been there with my girlfriend. The views are awesome but the service was not as good.

Yelp
Worst dining experience of my life. Never posted before, but because of my time at Cafe de la Concha, I felt compelled to write something. Calamari was rubber, and it took over 30 minutes for them to bring the drinks, which arrived 10 minutes after our food was placed on the table. People who like this place are masochists, because eating here truly is self torture. Stay away.
