Café de la Plage - Restaurant Chez Pierre

We were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary! Having read the reviews and literally walked in to reserve a table, I knew from the extremely helpful staff that it was going to be special! I quite simply cannot praise this restaurant enough! It was perfect in every way. Our waitress was super friendly and attentive, and our food choices were simply fabulous - myself and another in our party wanted a seafood platter and were delighted when we realised we could pick our own choices and build a platter. This was definitely a big plus, and we were not disappointed. The rest of our party chose steak and again were delighted with the quality, flavour, and presentation. Desserts were excellent, and we had the best Irish coffee I have ever been served. Thank you all so very much, I highly recommend this restaurant and will most definitely return when we are in Arcachon again.

Very quick service. Staff were very polite. Steak was a little chewy and fatty. But seafood, wine and desserts were great. Plus great view of the ocean

We had an exceptional lunch, albeit on the pricey end. This is not your regular beachfront turist trap, it’s a serious restaurant with solid cooking

We were visiting Arcachon for my daughter’s wedding. We were seated by the host, but the waiter then proceeded to seat 2 other tables on either side of us. They were French, we are Americans. He took both other tables orders and served their drinks and food before coming back to us. I felt he was rude to us as guests. The food however was great 😊

Everything was great about this place except that it took a really long time to get the waiter to bring our check when we had finished our meal. Wwe probably would have ordered a coffee as well, if it had bot taken so long for them to come afterwards. But, it was a very busy day, so I can't really fault the server. Overall, great atmosphere and great environment and the food was also fantastic!

Restaurant Chez Pierre is a wonderful restaurant. It is a pity that everywhere it is advertised along with the Café de la Plage, which we did not visit. Because of this, it is not possible to give the restaurant and cafe separate objective reviews. I'm only talking about the restaurant. We first visited it in 2011 and remembered all these years. In September 2022 we were back in Arcachon and visited Chez Pierre 5 times. He got even better. All dishes are very tasty, especially pigeon and tuna. Great service, good wine selection.

What a wonderful experience to have a delicious meal with such a gorgeous view! The seafood superseded my expectations. It is fresh and the Arcachon oysters are exactly what they are famous for. I felt in heaven with the food. Service was wonderful and staff very kind.

Experienced dinner twice at Chez Pierre for 3 nights staying in Arcachon 🇫🇷 I enjoyed the food, the drinks, the view, the atmosphere, and there was a live music in front of the beach. I was greatful having the table by the street afterwards, even though I was kinda insisting to get a table inside while it was full.
