I’ve been to this Japanese pasta restaurant a few times with my kids because the food is good, and we usually enjoy it. But today’s experience was just unacceptable.
When we arrived, it was cold and raining outside. A staff member was checking for available seats, but then another lady told us to go back outside to write down our name. Since it was raining, I asked my daughter to stay inside while I stepped out. Shockingly, an older lady *physically pushed* my daughter out and said, “Please wait outside because people are walking out.” Excuse me? You do *not* put your hands on my child. A simple request would’ve been enough—there was absolutely no need for physical contact. I was furious but didn’t want to cause a scene because my daughter really wanted that pasta. I told her she has every right to speak up and let people know they shouldn’t touch her without permission.
We got seated after 5 minutes, and unfortunately, that same lady was our server. My daughter and I ordered just one pasta and an appetizer since the portions are big. I could tell she wasn’t pleased with our small order—no smile, no thank you, just took the menu and walked away. Throughout the entire meal, no one came to check on us, not even once.
Honestly, no matter how good the food is, the service today was awful and ruined the whole experience. I left no tip because it was well-deserved. We won’t be coming back anytime soon.
