Café de Volder

What an amazing addition to Delft's food scene! This quaint spot has high quality food and drinks, a super nice sphere and actually frienldy and accessible service (for a change, compared to other spots nearby hahaha). Their salmon was amazing, and they also had a solid drink selection. I'll definitely visit again next time I'm in town!

What a great cafe! I visited Delft and walked in here during lunch. Delicious food, the tuna salad sandwich was amazing! Pretty interior and nice staff. Great location. I'd definitely come back!

A Must-Visit in Delft! Visiting from Aruba, we were truly impressed by how friendly and welcoming the team at De Volder was. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and inviting. The service was excellent, the staff made us feel right at home, and everything, from the food to the ambiance, was just AMAZING. If you’re in Delft, don’t miss this place. We’ll definitely recommend De Volder to anyone visiting the city! 👏🏼

Nice location, with views of the New Church. Great space with a warm atmosphere. Large selection of beers. Friendly and helpful staff. Last but not least free board games available!

Absolutely loved this place! The location is perfect – close to everything we needed. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. And the toast… hands down the best I’ve had in a long time! Can’t wait to come back.

Oh my but the food here is delicious!! The cafe looks pretty much like any cafe around the city centre of Delft and there are a lot of them but the difference is the food, it is top notch!! The pork burger in particular is sensational

Really nice atmosphere and vibe. The food is cheap and tastes really good. You get large portions for the price that you pay. They also have a really nice selection of board games.

We've been in the Netherlands for 5 dats and just visited Delft. Thankfully we stumbled upon this place. The food is amazing and the owner and staff are friendly and accommodating. First, they have a nice beer selection including dutch, belgian, and other beers. We started with mushroom soup, which was the best we've ever had anywhere in the world. My son and daughter both had the crispy chicken sandwich which was sweet and spicy and had a cole slaw dressing. They loved it. My other son had the thick bacon rib sandwich which he devoured and said was the best ever. My daughter in law had the mushroom soup. I had the steak with french fries. The steak was cooked perfectly and very tender and flavorful, with a mushroom red wine sauce. The fries were perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. And salted to perfection. My wife had a vegetarian goat cheese sandwich which she loved. For any limoncello fans out there, the owner makes his own homemade limoncello. It was so good it would make any Italian chef jealous. For 6 people at lunch with 3 beers, the total price was only 120 euros. We left a great tip. Great place, I'd like to go back to Delft just to eat here again.

I had lunch here while on a day trip from Amsterdam . The service was exceptional , I was quickly greeted and offered something to drink . The food was delicious and I really enjoyed the atmosphere . If you're looking for a quick meal and a good atmosphere definitely check out this place .

This was a very cute cafe in Delft for a later lunch. We stopped here around 3pm while exploring the area and found a seat right away. They had an eclectic menu of traditional Dutch foods (cheese, bitterballen, croquet, etc.) platters as well as soups, salads, smoked fish, coffees, fresh teas and beer/wine. I had the smoked salmon toast and mint tea made with fresh leaves. Both were very fresh and excellent. My friend had a tasting platter which came with an assortment of Dutch foods and soups. Service was very fast and we were able to pay at the bar when we were ready to leave. This definitely seems like a great place to pass some time with a book and coffee/tea. Highly recommend!

What a splendid cafe in beautiful Delft. Friendly staff with great food options. Just a very relaxing atmosphere. I could sit here the entire day.

A must stop in Delft. The chef is very creative offering traditional and French inspired dishes. He was even able to offer vegan / vegetarian options for us. Excellent food!

We didn't expect to find a nice restaurant so close to the touristy area of Delft. This place surprised us by having a nice atmosphere and excellent sandwiches. Also, their apple cake with cream is something you got to try!

Second trip to Cafe Zondag, first time had lunch, was fabulous. Last week, two years later, dinner...and it was wonderful. We were on a tour and had to get back to the bus in a very short period of time...let them know and they provided an excellent meal as fast as could be imagined...of very high quality and with a totally helpful attitude. Will go back any chance we get, great place!

Lovely place for lunch and coffee! Good value for money and great service. And the food is of course good too.
