"The Medina's Second Square If the Djemaa el Fna is the epicenter of Marrakech , the Rahba Lakdima—otherwise known as the Place des Épices, or Spice Traders Square—is surely the epicenter of the medina itself. Bursting with rambunctious energy and high-voltage color, the marketis lined on one side by mysterious herbalists and spice traders selling everything from snakeskins to rose petals to ras el hanout (the famous Moroccan spice blend), and by carpet sellers on the other. Venture tothe latter’s lair around 4 p.m. when sellers come down from the mountain villages, and you’ll be treated to the spectacle of them plying their trade with the professionals. And in the middle, heaps of woven baskets and woolen skullcaps are piled high. There’s no better place to sit and watch this daily theater unfold than at the Café des Épices, the first of several that have now opened there, but still our favorite for excellent coffee, fresh salads, sandwiches, and tagines."

Great tanjine, got the beef, was excellent. Also sitting outside was great watching people come and go in the market, giving it a really good atmosphere. You can eat inside too and theres a terrace i think. Well priced and staff were all friendly. Planning on going back! Shokran.

A lovely café right on Jemaa el Fna! Drinks arrived very quickly, and the prices are surprisingly fair for such a touristy area. The staff were very attentive and even brought extra plates so we could share the delicious tajine – really great service. The restroom was also clean and well kept. The tea could have steeped a bit longer and the music was a little loud, but that’s part of the lively atmosphere of the square. Overall, a really nice spot to take a break and enjoy the vibrant scene.

Food was good but we had better in other places nearby but that could have been because we both chose the chicken burger which was actually more like coronation chicken in a bun that is not similar to a regular burger bun. The view was really nice but it was quite busy and loud.

The noise, the food, the people, the staff .... magnifique is an understatement. The staff is wonderful and the managers are very attentive. Bust stop and enjoy the vibe. Marrabilloso. El servicio y la comida es maravillosa.

The location is wow. Very nice with lots of lights, but it’s very hot and there is no ventilation…The food is good, there is a mix between international and typical choices. It’s not a typical restaurants, but you can definitely enjoy a half way with a nice view. The prices are high compared to other restaurants, but for the location it’s worth it.

We ordered the cauliflower burrito and harira. The soup was well balanced but the burrito was very average. It tasted very sweet due to the sweet potato but not balanced well with spices. The cauliflower could have also been warmer. On the positive side, it is quite a popular place especially because of the amazing rooftop and sunset view. The place gets very busy between 6.30-8pm. the service was good too.

I absolutely loved the place and its vibe! The atmosphere was cozy and authentic. We ordered a smoothie and a lemonade, both of which were super fresh and delicious. I also tried the eggs with khli for the first time it was really tasty! Just a heads-up, the khli is quite salty, but it adds a unique flavor that makes the dish special. We had also fresh ice tea 🫖. Overall, it was a really enjoyable experience, and I’d definitely come back again.

We had to seat on dirty table, leaning against the wall, the falafel sandwich was awfully dry and the falafels were in crumbs. I have eaten much better falafels. We had to ask for glass 3 times… 4.3⭐️? Just overrated. And of top of everything they brought percentage for for the non existing service.
