Café des Musiciens

We ate here last night and had the best meal. Everything beautifully cooked (I had the panisses followed by the sea bass with a rich curry sauce and seasonal vegetables) with a strong focus on the sourcing. Don't skip dessert either, we shared a roasted white chocolate semi-freddo with local plums. Friendly and knowledgable service. 100% recommend!

It was a rainy night in Nice so our original booking at another restaurant was cancelled which we had waited for 6 months for and our activity earlier in the day was also cancelled. We were quite devastated about the news but nothing stopped us from trying to find another restaurant! My friends and I set on foot to find another restaurant but was turned down because the tables were booked out indoors except for Café des Musiciens. We were greeted by Charlotte who was very warm and friendly. We were captivated by the ambience and Charlotte’s enthusiasm. We entered and settled into our seats and from there the night got better - the food, service and coincidentally Charlotte and Christopher also had lived in Australian. It made it feel comfortable and special on such a day where a lot of what we had planned did not go well. So thank you to the both Charlotte and Christopher for the service tonight and delicious food and dessert! Very unique, balanced and used fresh produce from local markets. They change their menu daily as well to keep it new so their efforts in developing the business is to be commended for. All their foods paired well with the excellent wine. Would definitely recommend to dine in if you’re in Nice !

This is a new rising star on the block - a great family restaurant. Charlotte (in the room) and her husband (in the kitchen) offer great meals. We like how classical dishes have been re-created. Kids have enjoyed their meals too (that’s does not happen often). I can’t but mention the sauce for the eggs. No wonder that the chef has got some rewards for that. Between the meals we enjoyed guessing the names of the great musicians on the picture (luckily Charlotte has got hints). We’ve been two times already and we would definitely come again.

This place has to be the top place in Nice for quality v price. The food is so so so good. The vibes are relaxed and friendly. Literally every single thing was good. 100€ for 2 with 3 courses and coffee and a glass of wine each. We will 100% be back

The best meal we had in the whole of France! Christopher and Charlotte were the loveliest restauranteurs, incredible food pairings and the most attentive and kind service we’ve experienced. Highly recommend a visit!

A great discovery in Nice! Charming restaurant with interesting, flavorful, and well-prepared dishes at lunchtime with a good wine list. Friendly and welcoming service. Excellent value for the lunch formulas.

Absolutely delicious food with friendly owners! The menu changes daily, be sure to check their instagram story for the latest. We enjoyed the ouefs mayo, beer battered fish (was so light and crispy!), and the Madeline’s for dessert. Everything was made from scratch with love. A must visit!
