We had a lovely dinner here in the outdoor seating area. Attentive and friendly service, both main dishes we had were delicious as well as the starters. Great wine by the glass options.

Serves up an excellent potato rosti. I went for the egg and duck one and it did not disappoint. The crisp of the hash was really good. It’s a touristy spot but the food is well worth it. I’d happily come again and try some other dishes.

Amazing rösti! The price-quality is great and the ambience is immaculate. Definitely recommend to visit.

Google
A perfect last night in Geneva with an excellent rosti and wine. The pear dessert was also incredible paired with an excellent port. Hugo attended to us and was helpful and fun! Excellent experience and highly recommended.

A nice and old/traditional café/restaurant in the Geneva Old Town.

Google
It boasts being the oldest cafe in Geneva. The restaurant has a cool look and vibe. The staff was rude and pushy with food and pretty upset that we wanted a salad with our drinks but nothing additional. The table next to us was charged an extra 3 CHF per person for not ordering a drink other than water. We also saw them turn away a group that wanted drinks only (the restaurant was empty other than us at the time). My salad tasted fine though definitely not worth the 28 CHF it cost. Go to the crepe place next door instead.

Google
I rarely give stars, but this was such a bad experience so I have to write. First they got our 3 drinks wrong. Second they served hendriks gin with lemon??? Third GT was 25 CHF, and lastly while enjoying our drinks, the server came and told us to leave because he wanted to clean the table, even though we got our drinks 5 minutes ago. Getting the drinks also took 15 minutes, which is embarrasing.

Google
Found this place completely by accident but wow amazing Rosti - it is a Rosti house but this one of the best I’ve had

Yelp
I was searching for a restaurant with Rosti, a traditional potato pancake, that would be representative of what Geneva has to offer. The tour manager recommended we travel into the old town center. I found this restaurant through Yelp and their Rosti varieties plus the food quality are exactly what I needed for a lunch stop. The Rosti did not disappoint. Full disclaimer: Rosti can be a bit heavy with the cooking process that can include butter along with some bacon. Yes, the Rosti had the expected greasy texture, but just enough to make it savory without overpowering the various ingredients. I would recommend this restaurant if you are interested in trying the traditional Rosti dish in several varieties.

Yelp
Chance upon this restaurant and it was our lucky day. Excellent service and food in a cool part of town.

Yelp
The service was excellent and we sat outside and people watched for a while. The Rosti with Steak and mushrooms sauce was the best local dish I have tried. Delicious and hearty food.

Yelp
Visited due to good reviews. Friendly waitstaff, old school spot. First rosti experience = damn good. Not otherworldly but highly satisfactory. Recommend.

Yelp
Lovely little place by Place du Bourg-de-Four. We tried the rosti, per the suggestion of other Yelpers. I had never had this dish before and was really surprised with how good it was. Basically, a potato and cheese hash brown (that's a touch greasy) served with a number of different main courses. More of a lunch place than dinner. Like most of Geneva, wildly expensive -- $25 for a simple dish. However, nothing is cheap here. Table service could use a bit softening -- you definitely get a bit of the Parisian attitude, regardless of how nice you try to be. Still, glad we tried it.

Yelp
Love it! It's a cute little place that's apparently been here since 1874. The rosti was super delicious on a cold, rainy day, and the wine was excellent. Glad I picked it! Seems to be a mix of tourists and locals and my waitress speaks English, though I did my best in French.

Yelp
This place is a MUST and you must try the Rosti with ham, eggs, and gruyere (which is cheese) we learned this by just asking. Our server was very helpful and friendly. We came on a rainy day and had a cappuccino to go with it! Which was also creamy and amazing. We would definitely go back!!

Yelp
Saw this place on a website for best things to do while in Geneva so we decided to try it. Like everything in Geneva it is very expensive. I got the Rotoni (I think that's how you spell it) based on everyone's else recommendation. And it was to die for. Absolutely incredible. My wife got the tagliatelle bolognese and it was eh okay. If you come here definitely get my dish with the ham and egg.

Yelp
Hands down the most delicious Rösti you'll ever eat. It's quite small but that's because it's one of the oldest restaurants in Geneva, if not the oldest. Very nice seating area outside, especially in summer. Absolutely recommended!!!

Yelp
If you want that authentic Potato Rosti, check out Cafe Bourg de Four - found in the Old City. A very funky and unique interior and the staff are very friendly. Although the menu is in French the waiter happily translated the toppings for the rostis. These rostis were filling and delicious. Crispy on the outside and soft and velvety on the inside. I would highly recommend it!!

Yelp
Amazing lil terrace which was empty when we arrived (around noon) and totally full within the hour. Once you just submit to the the price of geneva, you'll have a much more pleasant experience! Also, god, rösti is just good. In essence it's just hash browns but for some reason it's so much better. You will definitely be full after a meal here. Waiter was super pleasant. Would definitely reccomend this place!

Yelp
Amazing food, super friendly service. Will definitely return!!!! Had the entrecôte burger, it was delicious. One of the best burgers in Switzerland. Was super filling too. The music was cool, they even had a DJ ...

Josh L.

Yelp
Do yourself a favor and stop here for a Rosti while in Geneva... it was life changing. Stopped in here with the family on a brisk spring day whilst doing some sightseeing. Great meal. I bet this place is even better during the summer when the patio is open. But in the meantime, stop inside and ORDER the ROSTI! Sure it's got a lot of butter but that's what makes it good!

Robert R.

Yelp
All the reviews are right. The rösti with egg are great and filling The salads are fresh with lots of toppings With a pleasantly wore atmosphere

Yelp
Hotel D'Alleve recommended this restaurant. My first time in Geneva. It is a bit of a walk to the square in Old Town center, but worth it. The staff was friendly, affable. The house wine was good. The prices were very reasonable for the area. Service was good and the atmosphere was comfortable. Not a Michelin three star but worth each of the five stars that I give it. Dinner with a glass of wine, a carafe of water, dinner of rosti with ham and two perfectly cooked sunny side eggs was 30 CHF. I will not hesitate to go back.

Yelp
Delicious! I had the omelet with cheese, which is just that. It was very tasty but I wanted some things added to the dish and they would not add it. My husband had the Rosti with red bell peppers which was amazing and I should have ordered that for the different flavors and textures on the plate. If they would adjust the meals on the menu for each person's liking then I would give this place 5 stars. Also, service was great and the ambiance is amazing.

Lisa S.

Yelp
This place is typical of the French speaking region of Geneva inside, located in the Old Town section of town. It has all the typical genevois items on the menu however, I must say the rosti is the best I have ever tasted. ...potatoes shredded ever so finely and perfectly, fried up in butter to a crispy perfect brown edge, mixed with onion, creme and topped with cheese, ham and egg. It was the best hands down. I enjoyed every last bite. The atmosphere was cozy, casual and not too noisy. The waitress spoke English as well, and the beer was tasty. I enjoyed my meal here and will add this restaurant to my Old Town tour when I get visitors.

Yelp
Loved the Rosti as per other reviews. We ordered a portion to share, unaware that many of the main courses (steaks, lamb chops etc) all come with half a plate of rosti. Did I mention is was tasty, tasty. I had the Steak Tartare. It was delicious, but I'm no expert so have no benchmark. My colleagues had fillet steak, pork medallions, and lamb chops which they all enjoyed. We called at 20:30 on a Sat night to ask for an immediate table of four. No problem they put us outside in a lovely square. Service was OK. Overall, I'd go back

Yelp
Fantastically well executed ROSTI what a beautiful Terrace on booking a very cute old city Square. Highly recommend it for both food ambience and relaxing

Hideki K.

Yelp
Very friendly staff and nice atmosphere. The food was very good, locally sourced and typical of the region. Desserts are a must.

Yelp
You HAVE to order drinks, if not, you have to pay CHF 3.5 and the food is VERY OILY and SALTY!!! Not recommended. Will NOT come back. The seating is very squeezy.

Kate M.

Yelp
Once you accept the inevitability of the $50 "cheap" lunch in Geneva, hit up this cozy cafe in the Old Town for some delicious Röschti and beer - a fried egg on top is imperative.

Alfred W.

Yelp
Poor service and take advantage of tourists. Went there early in the morning for a full breakfast and server ignored me at first and didn't speak English. I sat down and pointed an item in menu on my phone and server acknowledges it. Then server asked me anything to drink. I used a translator for water then corrected it to "tap water". Server said no, which was strange since she later served a glass of tap water to another customer. Server then pressure me to order either still or sparkle water and left with a receipt for $5 CHF. Then I asked where was the food, which she later said it's too early to serve food. Why would I go to a restaurant just to drink water?

Yelp
Wonderful French comfort food, served in a cozy atmosphere. Perfect place to stop for a warm meal on a rainy January day!

Pat R.

Yelp
Excellent! Worth the wait for a table! Rosti is their specialty. Absolutely perfect.

Yelp
Great little local place. Good food good atmosphere and a very enjoyable fellow playing solo guitar. Surprising find.
