We had a wonderful lunch today, pre-booked our table on balcony with stunning views. The food & service were excellent. It was recommended to us by a local lady who owns the villa we are staying at and we're so pleased we visited. We would definitely recommend.

2025 Update This year we went again for lunch and once again everything was superb. We ordered nearly the entire menu and every dish was outstanding. Bruno, the owner, always provides excellent service. This time we are sharing more pictures too. Consistently one of our favorite places. Will be back again, **** Exceptional Experience at Café du Progress – 2024 upate I am updating my review from last year. Last year was our first time visiting Café du Progress despite having visited the Luberon Valley many times before. We loved the place and decided to add it to our list of go-to places, which we did this year. We liked it even more this time around. We were a group of four, so we ended up tasting the entire lunch menu, and it was exceptional. We look forward to visiting again next year. ********** ORIGINAL REVIEW - 2023 Visiting from NYC and this was our 6th time visiting the Luberon valley but our first time having lunch at Café du Progrès. It is lovely place and we will certainly add to our lunch list. The menu is simple but very nicely presented and delicious. We all had the fish of the day and it was very nice. We were going to sit outside, but given the heatwave opted for inside. Nice A/C.

Nice place, small terrace so it's best to book if you'd like to eat outside. Beautiful view! Nice staff. Good food, vegetarian option.

Sat on the view-facing terrace for a couple of hours and had a wonderful time. Great coffee and super warm service. Local and non-touristy vibe, unlike nearby establishments that charge much more for the same view. Hope to return.

Fantastic staff, very attentive, also informative regarding 0% cider & beer. Lovely position with great views over the valley below.

Much much better than Le Cinq. Fabulous view! Make sure to reserve. The food is delicious and very creative. Plating is great too. Waiter was very passionate and attentive.

Absolutely loved this quaint restaurant in Ménerbes for lunch. The view from the terrace was stunning while enjoying a cold glass of rosé, the staff was friendly and welcoming and the food was spectacular.

Yelp
We have dined here multiple times. This past week I had the most wonderful rigatoni with spinach, sun-dried tomatoes, pignoli, nuts, and mustard seeds. Went back a few days later to have it again. The ziti had freezer burn on it and was overcooked and dried. It tasted like it was made days ago and reheated. I would've said something, but I don't think it really would've mattered to the server. There is only one friendly server there and he was not helping us that day. Consistency is not their forte. The saying is true, you cannot go back..

Yelp
We enjoyed a Day visiting different vineyards and wanted to stop by Ménerbes for a light dinner. We had no reservations anywhere so couldn't get into many places- but we happen to stop at this place. We had no reservations here and they were just as fully booked but they managed to accommodate us anyway. That is a very unique thing in this area because without a reservation even the smallest cafés will not accommodate. Our server was a thoughtful fellow named Gael. My husband is a vegetarian and I am not. They had something on the menu to make everyone happy. The food was excellent, fresh, and beautifully prepared. The sunset view of the valley was romantic and stunning. We enjoyed rose recommended by Gael. I enjoyed the saint Pierre fish , white fleshed sea fish in zucchini, and my husband enjoy the gnocchi, both were light creamy and aromatic. It was really a lovely evening and we were so grateful to have come across this cute place.

An absolute institution in Menerbes. Great coffee and all the local gossip. Hosts Patrick and Carmen are delightful
