Croque Madame or Monsieur, Kouign Amann. Pricey but good. There's also another store in Camarillo.

Delicious pastries and the flavored plates are amazing. We got honey lavender latte. The flavors are incredible. I also got the cinnamon roll... the dough was soft, moist, filled with cinnamon, and fluffy. The frosting was creamy, properly sweet, and delicious. Service was attentive, bright, cheery, and fast. Love this place. A true 💎

Popped into a cute little café with a clean, minimal vibe and the irresistible smell of coffee and pastries in the air. The staff was sweet and welcoming. Almost all the spots were occupied when I walked in at 11. By 11:30 it quieted down and a fair amount of spots opened up. Side note, there's outdoor seating too. I'm not much of a breakfast person, but their pastries looked so good they almost converted me. I had the butterfly matcha coffee, which is more of an iced matcha latte with butterfly pea syrup--beautiful, but light on matcha flavor. Aesthetic lovers, you'll adore it; matcha purists, maybe not so much. All in all, a lovely little spot to relax or get some work done.

Cool little place. The pain au chocolat was mid - there was very little chocolate and the pastry was dry. The drip coffee was very good and the pistachio cream puff? Phenomenal.

Second chance today! Disappointed as usual! Chai tea tasted like water. Says something to the girl before I ordered about it happening before. And it happened again. Sorry I gave them a chance I’m done. I did say some thing nicely again as I did in the beginning. And she said you just have to tell them you want more chai tea taste, excuse me everybody else gets it right. So sorry I’m not a usual complainer, but I spent $20 with tip.

We were starving, I ordered a skinny baguette— It was stale! And please don’t stand there to see if I’m going to tip you or no, and how much. Go to the location on Mills Road, which is amazing and on point.

Food is good but they are overstaffed. Every time I am choosing my pastries there are three ppl staring at me. Makes it weird and awkward. Not going back.

Yelp
I stopped by with my sister and she fell in love with the almond croissant. She said, "It's better than Porto's!" She devoured it all up, it was $6.50 plus tax but she was super happy. There's lots of parking and a good amount of indoor seating, they also have a bathroom. They sell lots of pastries, whole loaves and drinks. Unfortunately, this location doesn't sell breakfast sandwiches or anything like that. The two girls working were friendly.

Yelp
I love Ficelle, and another adorable location is just the cherry on top. We went on a Sunday, slightly busy! There are lots of places to sit, and it's very cute inside. There is also a small podium (?) area which is also super adorable. There aren't a lot of options drink-wise on the menu, but the real treasure is that you can *customize* your drinks with flavors, which is so cool! There are also a lot of pastries and baked goods! The barista that helped me out was super friendly, she suggested the seasonal fall menu, and I ordered the Maple Brown Sugar Cinnamon Latte. It came out in less than 5 minutes and was SO GOOD! It tasted like a warm fall pastry. Friendly and quick service, an adorable study spot, and great drinks. I honestly can recommend Ficelle enough, it's delicious!

Yelp
Out of all Ficelle's locations, I think I enjoy the quaintness of the main street cafe the best. Every time I've been in they are fairly busy, but the cashiers and baristas keep the line moving quickly and I've always had great service and high quality drinks and pastries. The seating areas are also very clean and neat. With the cafe being on the smaller side it's fairly quiet inside. It's a great place to pop in and have a coffee, a quick bite, and maybe read a book or look at emails. The calmness of the cafe environment, attentiveness of staff, and quality of food and drink offerings make this cafe a wonderful place to spend some time.

Yelp
They have the best pastries that are made daily from scratch! The almond croissant is just so flakey and amazing! The almond paste inside the croissant is the perfect amount of sweetness. Wish they had some savory lunch options at this location as well but they are a smaller location. There is also a perk for being a VHS employee.

Yelp
Great bakery, love that they opened up a 2nd location in ventura. I love the triple chocolate muffin and chocolate croissants from here. If I'm in the mood for a savory treat, the ham and Gruyère is the way to go. They offer a solid selection of pastries. Cute interior with lots of natural lighting, good coffee, and they now offer avocado toast and other breakfast items. I didn't snap great pics of the interior but there was bar seating available, little bistro tables, and a cute nook. Looks like a great place to sit and read. There is a small parking lot and neighborhood parking available.

Yelp
Have tried Cafe Ficelle's other locations and they have all been great. Had seen this one opened up not that long ago and wanted to check it out to see how it compared to the other locations. They do have a private parking. Not much parking spots though. Still good though. Small location compared to the one on Mills. Still really nice. They have a smaller selection of pastries which makes sense. They have seating indoors and a few outside. When I went, it was fairly slow. It was during the week. I didn't have to wait long to order. I ended up selecting their butterfly matcha and their almond croissant. Gentlemen took my order. He was very sweet. Not only addressed me, but he also addressed my son which was nice. I got my drink. I noticed everyone who was ordering pastries was getting them right away. I was a little confused about that. I waited a bit before I went up. The gentlemen was confused when I informed them I was still waiting for my pastry. For a moment I felt like he wasn't going to give me one, but luckily he did. I would say that was the only weird/annoying thing, but they were still all nice. Overall, cute place. I would come back again.

Yelp
Today's visit was disappointing. I almost never write negative reviews, unless it's warranted. This morning, I walked over to Cafe Ficelle's to get a peppermint mocha and I didn't have a good experience. I was told they were out of heavy cream, so they wouldn't be able to add whipped cream to my drink (although it was early in the morning). I wish they would have had it, but it wasn't a big deal and I was still looking forward to trying the drink. I was talking to the man at the register and telling him that I'll be back soon, to try their mocha with whipped cream, since I live down the street and he didn't say anything at all to me. He didn't even make much eye contact and I really felt uncomfortable ordering my drink. When I went up to get my drink I said thank you to the barista and she didn't respond or look up. To top it off my drink was lukewarm not hot. I'm not sure if they were having an off day, but it was not a good experience overall. With so many options to get a coffee around Ventura they should really work on their customer service skills.

Yelp
The food here is 10/10 along with the service - friendly and quick. The coffee is okay. My almond cold brew had good flavor but didn't taste like coffee & was a little watered down from the ice they use. The iced mocha was also okay - it didn't taste too much like chocolate. Overall I would come back for the pastries. The chocolate and almond croissants were perfectly sweet and flaky on the outside & the ham & cheese croissant was filling and super yummy

Yelp
Super disappointing. Two menu items were scratched out and they were out of a third. We tried the caprese sandwich; looks pretty but very messy to eat as all the ingredients fall out as you lift it. The salad was nice. The butter croissant and baguette are not boulangerie quality; maybe yeast instead of levain? The baguette isn't crispy or rustic and the crumb is heavy. Definitely not south of France cuisine, as advertised. The matcha comes pre-sweetened, so you know it's not quality. Overall, the value isn't there. The place is bright and clean, great for hanging out and getting some laptop time, but the food was unappetizing.

Yelp
Café Ficelle has just opened up a new location on Main Street in Ventura. They have the same great baked goods as the other locations. Today, I ordered the English muffin and it was warm, moist and a perfect compliment to my coffee. The service was quick and friendly and is great spot for anyone in the neighborhood. The location is small but they have plenty of seating. Very excited for the new location!!!

Yelp
I am very disturbed by the new manager at this location. Terrible customer service! I sat with this interaction for a few days before writing this review because I'm a repeating customer& a local business owner. I would never treat a customer like this. Period. I come here quite often! I usually ask for double shot of espresso on ice with a Splash of milk which is pretty much a iced macchiato but no foam. Super easy! My last visit was two days ago and ask for my regular (a double shot of espresso on ice.) The girl working said " i can't do espresso on ice. " I ask why? I just had it yesterday. She responds with some lame excuse. Something about people pouring too much milk in the cup. And I tell her I just want a splash of milk and I don't need to pour it - you can. She says nope she can't make an iced espresso. This interaction goes on a bit longer. I ask for the manager because I was just in there the day before - and ordered this exact thing with no problem! She responds with a smirk " I am the manager" I then ask when did you decide to stop putting espresso on ice? And when did you become the manager? She follows both questions with "three weeks ago" This interaction was weird and all types of rude. Especially to a frequent customer. Yes, The pastries are beyond good but for a manager to respond like this is GROSS. Whoever hired her has a terrible judge of character.

Yelp
I love the staff. Every single one of them is great. The coffee and pastries are pretty good too. Remind me not to go to poppies business..

Yelp
Expensive, but can't deny it is goodness. I love their loaves, baguettes, croissants, and man - the apple turnover. Mmmmm.

Yelp
Incredible food, service and ambiance! Totally impressed with their Quiche, birthday cakes and pastry! Can't wait to go back ! A great friend referred me and I am forever thankful!!

Yelp
I ordered a drip coffee and it took forever, the barista made all the fancy drinks before just pouring mine from the thermos. I left the shop and shortly after the bottom of the cup leaked through and my coffee went everywhere. I emailed Ficelle to give them a chance to rectify the poor cup and at least acknowledge the service and never got a response. I've been going to both locations since they opened and lately their quality has greatly dismissed. The croissants used to be so good, lately they taste like they're a day or two old, not worth it for their high prices. Not going back.

Yelp
All I can say is....WOW!! I want to think I am a pastry connoisseur and this place "takes the cake" . When I want to spoil ourselves this is the place to be. The croissants and pastries are very delicious. The worked have been very friendly and patient with me as I try to make my decisions. If it were up to me....I'd buy one of everything!!

Yelp
This place is so good and they have some amazing pastries here! The English muffin came with jam and butter and was actually pretty filling, while the oatmilk latte was tasty and had a very good flavor as well.

Yelp
My mom and I visited this location Sunday afternoon for some avocado toast and coffee. I ordered the regular avocado toast she ordered the salmon toast. It was slightly busy and limited seating but we understood as it is the smaller location we were able to find a table in the corner but only after I cleared the table from the previous guest. After placing our order it slowed down and we waited 30 minutes for our meal until a barista came to our table to give us a complimentary pastry and stated the kitchen had lost our ticket. It was a nice gesture but at this point we were ready to leave. An additional 15 minutes later we finally got our order which was sub par at best. For almost 45$ I would expect more than a piece of toast with some avocado on it. Cannot say I will be returning to this location unfortunately.

Yelp
I love the space -- it's bright and open and inviting. Sadly, the baristas are not very friendly. They seem standoffish and annoyed from the get-go. The coffee is just okay, it's not awful and it's not amazing. The pastries and sourdough bread are all incredible, minus the baguettes. The baguettes are so hard that you can barely bite into them. I am quite careful with knives, but the outer crust of the baguette was so thick and slippery, my bread knife slid off and I sliced my finger. I've purchased multiple baguettes and they are all over-baked. Over all I like this establishment and I think it has a lot of potential.

Yelp
I am so thankful to have this amazing business open up in Midtown! They serve an amazing cup of coffee & the staff is all so welcoming & inviting! Amazing place & amazing people, 10/10 recommend!

Yelp
what a rip.....the last time I'll pay almost $16 for 2 very average pastries...maybe that's why I was the only customer during a time a good bakery would be busy

Yelp
Wow this cute little cafe is the perfect addition to Main Street. The vibes here are most definitely on. I stopped here right when they opened and had a delicious latte and started my morning off right with a decadent chocolate chip cookie before starting my commute to work. The blonde male server / barista whose name escapes me offered suggestions, was attentive, and provided an overall outstanding experience!
