The Best Way to Travel Through Northern Morocco Is by Train — Here's How to Plan Your Trip

"Café Hafa, established in 1921, resembles an amphitheater tumbling down the cliff edge. It’s hardly a well-kept secret, so finding a spot may take some time. But once settled, it's easy enough to get a cup of Tangier’s special iteration of Morocco’s famous mint tea from one of the servers winding through the tables." - Elle Benson Easton

A New Tangier Hotel Honors the Cultural Heritage of a Timeless City | Vogue

"Situated across a hilltop on the western tip of the continent, Tangier is known for its staggered cityscape of striking blue and white houses topped with the occasional turret, all overlooking the Strait of Gibraltar where it meets the Atlantic Ocean. It’s also known for its history. Long before European colonization and Morrocan independence, Tangier was a Berber town (and remains one of the best places in the world to buy Berber rugs and other crafts). Later, in the 1950s, the city’s unusually permissive attitudes made it a hub for Beat Generation writers from William Burroughs to Allen Ginsberg, while in the 1970s, the town experienced another moment in the spotlight when the Rolling Stones could be found hanging out at the famous hillside spot Café Hafa." - Amelia Abraham

Most of the tourist was dream to come here. Is nice place to chill and relax, mint tea is too sweet for me! There seating area is like a terrace from top to bottom, nearly every-time there are many customer , also difficult for you to find a good view seat.

This place is iconic because it is one of the oldest cafes in Tangier and it has a great view. You should definitely get the mint tea here. The food is normal and the coffee is fine. The thing that bothers me about this place is every time I go to pay, if I don’t have the exact amount of my meal they make it seem difficult for me to get my change back, like a scam or their way to force a tip. Other than that I have had a nice experience here and all the servers have been friendly. Lots of birds flying around so there is a possibility of being pooped on…

Food was nice, price was reasonable, view was AMAZING, staffs were friendly and helpful, but might need to work on making the place cleaner (sink, bathroom, tables). Also if they could find a way to control scammers outside the cafe making you pay for a free parking, that'd be really helpful to tourists 🥲 cats there were CUTE

This was our first stop on our trip to Morocco. We had a cake and coffee. The food and drink weren't anything special but they both tasted fine. The location is super special with many small terraces to sit on. The view is amazing as you can see Spain across the water. I definitely recommend coming here on your trip to Tanger.

The views are absolutely breathtaking. To be honest, that is the main attraction. The food is fine but what really let's down is the cleanliness. If they can work on that it'll be an all round amazing experience.

Cafe Hafa is one of the charming cafés we visited in Tangier, Morocco. Perched on the edge of a cliff, it offers breathtaking views of the endless blue ocean. While the food was average, their signature cocktail, Hafa, was refreshing and delicious. The service is quite slow, likely due to the high demand driven by its stunning location.

Nice view with plenty of locals. Price is good (12 dirhams for the mint tea). Lots of space but can be quite windy. Beware of the seagulls that might poo in you though! You can bring your own sweets or get stuff at the cafe. Worth the wander to the place around the coast with some interesting cafes and shops nearby
