Although this place shows up on every tourist guide and so you would expect it to be more hype than anything else, it really is a wonderful place. Of course you have the giant cinnamon bun that is packed with flavour. You also have some wonderful pastries, cookies and pies that are served with thick tasty custard. We also had the jacket potato that comes with a chickpea spread that was tasty. Expect a line on weekends and at busy times but as soon as a seat opens up take it and settle in for a proper fika experience.

Very popular local cafe which is famous of giant cinnamon roll, about 10euro for one . This one roll is perfect for 4 people share. Without the sugar topping will be perfect sweetness. Tiramisu also tastes very good. Very crowded during weekends, but possible to find a seat.

Café Husaren has a lovely atmosphere and serves delicious giant cinnamon buns. The coffee was good. I was initially worried it might be a tourist trap, but the quality was pleasantly surprising. However, I wasn’t a fan of the self-service system. Still, a nice spot for fika.

Fantastic food and drink options Long queue (midday Saturday) but moved very quickly. Staff friendly and happy to speak English. Cinnamon bun a must - couldn’t finish between two of us!

Social media famous Cafe Husaren serves the biggest cinnamon roll I’ve ever seen in my life. Their Hagabullen (110SEK) might seem pricy but trust me when I say it lasts for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I found it interesting that despite calling it cinnamon bun there’s heavy cardamom spices, which I personally enjoy but might be disliked by some people. With that said, the dough itself was a bit too dry for my taste (especially the outer layers) which was helped by my dirty chai (59SEK). Chai itself was quite big in portion (I am sensing a trend here) but milky with not enough chai flavour. Place had an old cottage house vibe but got packed a few hours after opening. There’s only one washroom (locked with passcode typed on your receipt) so lines can often get long. It’s a counter service but the lady was kind and friendly enough.

Worth the hype, in my opinion. It’s definitely popular with tourists and I understand why. The pastries are beautiful and delicious and it’s a delightful cafe visit, although very busy. They have things marked with stickers for dietary restrictions, which I found very helpful. They do not have very many gluten free meal options, but they had a few gluten free desserts and they were delicious! I would go back just for the lemon one. If you don’t have dietary restrictions or allergies, you can get a sweet treat to go from their table outside and save on some time waiting in the line inside.

It was my first encounter with a Swedish cinnamon roll, and I appreciated its subtle sweetness. I rated the service three stars as it’s self-service at the counter with no table ordering. As for the taste, I enjoyed what I sampled, though I found it to be neither extraordinary nor disappointing—just pleasantly good.

There are a lot of people on the day I visited but managed to get a seat! We had a big cinnamon roll and black coffee. They really were good together! Cinnamon roll is not that sweet (I can say it is my taste) The location of this cafe is good too. It’s located in the heart of Haga area
