Wonderful food, delightful venue and welcoming service. The menu is simple, straightforward with English and Portuguese on either side of it. The options are appealing to a broad range of tastes and made with natural ingredients. Lovely coffee and juices too! Our host, Vinicius, was so friendly and attentive. He made our visit extra enjoyable. Will definitely come here for brunch again.

Café Janis is one of those places that just gets it right—great vibe, beautiful space, and food that hits the spot. The yogurt granola was easily one of the best I’ve had—topped with fresh fruit and these beautiful maraschino cherries that added just the right pop of flavor. The pancakes were fluffy and came with a stunning blueberry compote that felt more like something out of a bakery than a brunch spot. The Turkish eggs were soft, silky, and perfectly balanced with chives and that rich yolk oozing out. We also tried the lemonade nacho topped with a soft egg—surprisingly simple and really satisfying. The kids devoured the bacon, which says a lot. Energy here is upbeat but relaxed, and the service was solid. Definitely a spot I’d hit up regularly.

We came very spontaneously visiting Lisbon and Janis was our first breakfast in town.. what a luck. These guys welcomed us effortlessly lovely and took care like we where the best known guests. It felt just easy being with you and the healthy Menü is a good start into the often culinarily sweet and long days 😅

Finally got the chance to eat at this amazing place and it did not disappoint! The food was absolutely delicious, the staff were incredibly friendly, and the whole place has such a cool, welcoming vibe. Whether you’re in the mood for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, I highly recommend checking it out. A real gem 💎 can’t wait to come back!

Google
Very nice breakfast spot! Cool vibes and the staff was very friendly. Depending on the dish the sizes can be a bit small. For example the avocado toast is a big portion, whilst the pancakes wouldnt be enough. Other than that its great! Would visit again. :)

We came here several times during our stay and would definitely come back again! The breakfasts were delicious, the atmosphere was really nice, and the interior had a great vibe. What stood out the most was the service — super friendly and genuinely efficient. Everything ran smoothly even when it got busy. A great spot to start the day with good food and good energy!

Yelp
Stopped by for a quick breakfast and was pleasantly surprised. Loved the clean vibes here with classy upbeat music, service was alright. Tried the scrambled egg and it was pretty good but very heavy.

Yelp
The ambiance here is great and service is good although a tad slow. We loved our juices here - they were fresh and delicious. The croissant and avo toast were just fine in comparison to others we have had. Not a bad experience overall

Yelp
Ambiance: 4/5 Food: 2/5 Service: 2/5 I was sad to be disappointed by this place because I had heard so many good things about it and the menu all looked mouthwatering! I came on a Friday around 9 and the place was packed and I managed to snag the last table. There's a sign at the door that says "please wait to be seated" so I did, but multiple staff members passed me with zero acknowledgement so I had to flag one down and ask for a seat. This was pretty consistent with the service for the rest of my meal unfortunately. I did not find my waitress very friendly, she was extremely inattentive and it felt like I was bothering her any time I had to flag her down after her never checking up on me. As for the food, also a disappointment. I went with the shakshuka which sounded and looked divine and it came out within just a few min which was great! The skillet was super hot but the actual food inside was cold and watery with bread that tasted stale. I also ordered the immune boost drink (with orange, tumeric, and ginger) which tasted good but was mostly just orange juice and I wish it had more of the other ingredients The ambiance of this cafe was the best part. Great music and cute decor with a few tables outside if it's a nice day. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this spot and wouldn't come back since there's so many better options in the area

Yelp
Wonderful food and service with a warm and cozy interior. I got the Shakshuka which I thought was very good compared to other shakshukas I ate throughout my vacation. I would get it again. The immune boost juice was like orange juice with a hint of ginger. Im usually used to stronger ginger tastes, but it was still refreshing. The people serving me were very friendly and attentive.

Yelp
Café Janis is on the corner and can be hard to miss, like I did. But I took a picture of the menu for others to see.

Yelp
Went in for the first time and it is a very cute place with nice decor. The waitress was friendly and the food was great. The juices of ginger/orange is a great boost of energy. The ambience is very chill definitely recommend this place for breakfast or lunch.

Yelp
Absolutely LOVE this place! Came here 3 or 4 times during our week stay. Each time we tried something new and it was always so great! Staff is friendly and the café has a great atmosphere. Our go to brunch spot!

Yelp
Cute little cafe that is open all day. It's hard to find breakfast places that open early in Lisbon and this was one of them. I am reviewing breakfast. It was a chillier morning so I wanted to sit inside. We had to show a proof of vaccination or a recent COVID negative test to sit inside. Inside it's like being inside of a tree house and it has wireless so you can sit and work here. They had some unique breakfast courses but I really wanted waffles so I opted for the earl grey waffles with a latte. I like how they offered oat milk as an alternative! This restaurant is vegan/ lactose/ and vegetarian friendly. The service was great and I enjoyed my morning.

Yelp
The services was decent but not that much good. The veggie bourito was very normal, but the capaciano was tasty and delicious.

Yelp
Adorable corner cafe with a funky and intimate interior. Breakfast selection is top notch and we ordered a wide spread and were delighted with every bite! The evening cocktails also looked super yummy!

Yelp
Found it easily behind the time out market! Cute aesthetics, it felt like a cute little coffee shop! The staff was friendly. I ordered the waffles and oh my gosh it was delicious. With the earl grey cream on top, something different and I don't even like tea but it was amazing! Even with the chocolate sauce on top it hit the spot! I also ordered a plain croissant but was told later they ran out. They recommended some French chocolate croissant which I said yes. Nothing too special about it for me. It wasn't overly sweet but not extraordinary. They check vaccination at the door for dine in, but they also offer a good amount of tables outside.

Yelp
While walking around Lisbon (Cais Do Sodré district), near the water, we were looking for a fun, casual breakfast/lunch spot - this place is that. Food is excellent, the drinks are fabulous and the staff is wonderful. This is a must stop and enjoy!

Yelp
Great food and atmosphere here! It's right in the heart of Lisbon and if the wait is too long you can always go across the street to the food hall which is also amazing! So definitely give it a try.

Yelp
Came across this place when looking for somewhere to get a cold juice near Time Out Market. Great vegetarian options - had the veggie burrito and vegan bowl. Relaxed atmosphere, spinning chill tunes, and decorated with lush greenery. Fast wifi was a bonus. Would come back here for breakfast or to hang out and work for a few hours!

Yelp
I'm loving it here been Stuck in Lisbon trying to get back to Chicago and everything is Really good + Everyone is bloody amazing Especially Andre Souza

Yelp
Fresh healthy options. The vegan bowl was yummy! I added two extra soft eggs for more protein. :)

Gene C.

Yelp
We came here twice in a row for breakfast. We appreciated all the vegetarian options, including the "hearty breakfast" and avocado toast. The staff was very nice too

Yelp
Attentive waitress, great vistas outside, amazing guacamole, banana bread to die for, zesty calamari, hibiscus lemonade refreshing.

Yelp
Cafe Janis was beautiful inside! Very trendy spot for a light breakfast with the hanging garden. We ordered the avocado toast, Earl Grey waffles and the Full hearty breakfast! Enjoyed everything, however it wasn't anything over the top. The service was good, very nice staff. The inside was absolutely stunning. They also had a lot of unique cocktails on the menu, would come back to give those a try!

Yelp
Beautiful Location, delicious food, extremely friendly and all that at a low price. I can only recommend spending your morning here. I had the prana chai latte and an avocado toast and i can very much recommend it!! P.S. perfect background music and much love to the waiters

Amber V.

Yelp
The vegan bowl is delicious!! You can take it to go and join your friends at Time Out Market. The bowl was their only real vegan option, but sometimes all you need is one.
