We stopped on a Sunday afternoon and ate in the outside area. The service was excellent as was the soup of the day (lentil) and a vegan pesto sandwich of the day. So delicious I couldn't stop talking about it.

Cafe Keppler is an excellent Cafe in Amsterdam North, especially for relaxing on the weekend. A chill atmosphere, with simple and cozy decor. The food is good and the dishes are fresh. Possibility of enjoying outdoor spaces during sunny days.

I found this cafe walking from my hotel on the way to the ferry. It was a busy morning but seating was still available. I was served quickly and the staff was very friendly. I ordered a cappuccino and the omelette on toast. They were both delicious. The tunes playing were perfect to set a good cafe vibe. It was a pleasant surprise to find this cafe and I look forward to returning.

Stumbled across this great cafe in search for a take away breakfast for friends and I. The staff were very friendly, the food delicious and the coffee to die for. Thank you for a wonderful start to the day. Highly recommend 🥰

Good food but their closing times don’t follow the Google displayed times so bit of a waste of my time if I head over to find they actually close in 30mins instead of 1.30hrs and they don’t serve anything except beers.

Cozy relaxing cafe restaurant. Best staff, so friendly. Amazing food, their bread. Many sandwiches, cake but the Shakshouka always hits the spot. Coffee also excellent.

A cozy little cafe that is quintessentially Dutch. Located in Amsterdam-Noord, this cafe is a great choice for brunch and some good coffee! It’s not a tourist-heavy spot and so the atmosphere is pretty laid back and relaxing. Make sure to carry a Dutch bank card or some cash, as they don’t accept any other form of payment.

Yelp
Near our hotel, we found this cute little cafe. My friend and I wanted to have a light breakfast and this was perfect! We ordered the omelette and egg fried sandwich with some cappuccino. Honestly , the food was so delicious, you can even taste the high quality ingredients compared to America. This was 11/10! The service was excellent, everyone was very friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend and definitely coming back again to this place!

Yelp
I'm writing this assuming anybody interested is an American on vacation. Anyway... This is the best breakfast (best meal, really) I had in Amsterdam in my short time there. Everybody makes a big deal about the "Dutch pancakes" at the restaurants along the canals but personally the last thing I want is a gigantic pancake (sweet or savory) before spending the entire day walking around as a tourist. The food here is filling without being overly heavy and didn't feel unreasonably priced like one might find in the more touristy areas on the south side of the Ij. We had the "Egg with Bread" and the Shakshouka (which also comes with bread) and they were both delicious. The Shakshouka was by no means authentic but it was unique. The sauce and eggs were perfect and the whole thing was loaded with greens and eggplant. The Egg with Bread is exactly what it sounds like, fried eggs on a thick slice of bread with melted cheese and chives. Very simple, perfectly cooked with high quality ingredients. We also had the mint and ginger teas which are both house made (i.e. no teabags) and were served dangerously hot (think McDonald's lawsuit hot) which is exactly how I like it. We actually went there for breakfast twice. On the second, two days after the first, the staff recognized us and the chef came out to apologize for forgetting the eggplant in the Shakshouka and made sure to add extra. Well worth the short trip away from the city center.

Yelp
We headed on our last night to Il peccorino at 7pm however we did not make a reservation and they were full. So we went across the street to Cafe Keppler. We got seated right away at the bar, we ordered our wine and within a few minutes later they offered us a table. Our waitress Nora came and we decided to let her surprise us and order for us. She simply asked if we were vegetarians ir had allergies. And she was off to surprise us! Her choice for our meals was a Beet salad with lentils, pumpkin, arugula, hazelnut and goat cheese and the Beef stew with potatoes and cannelli beans. For desert she brought a combination of an almond cake with plums and the apple pie with whipped cream. It was all wonderful. We finished our dinner with Monkey shoulder whiskey and Port. It's a cash only or maestro pay. Highly recommended.
