A quiet nostalgic cafe/restaurant in a peaceful neighborhood. The charming decorations remind the visitor of what used to be. Smokers are allowed to use the main room, and the decent -but not as nice- nonsmoking room is in the back. Food is simple but prepared with care and a personal touch. The tea served is of high quality. Worth a visit for someone with interest in goldfish or older charming cafes. Someone living/staying nearby may enjoy coming back.

Loved this cute cafe, it was so unique and had a lovely atmosphere. As a British girl I enjoyed having a good cup of tea here while on holiday. The cutlery was all very elegant an just reminded me of home. Everything is also goldfish themed so really recommend for any goldfish lovers.

This cafe creates the best if you spend time calmly. The simple meal is possible, but can enjoy coffee in a slightly nostalgic atmosphere in a shop after having appreciated goldfish. Because cafe stock abundant Havana cigar, please try you‼️

350 year old Goldfish shop! Family has been running it for 7 generations! Is there really anything else you need to know? Didn't try the cafe there, but the kids goldfish fishing was fun for my child. You can walk around the outdoor pools/tanks, and it's a fun, nice little store.

A very old golden fish shop with a cozy local cafe inside the building. The food is delicious and not expensive for the size (2,000¥ for a set with drink). One of the favorite places, a hidden gem

They say their business has been going on for 350 years with goldfishes, and they still are now. You can goldfish, wholesale or just buy goldfish, play with goldfish here. A whole adjacent big house is the cafe bar restaurant where you can enjoy deer but fine foods and drinks. It opens until 9pm and you'll feel cosy on any of 3 floors you get a seat.

Unusual and fascinating cafe set in a shop that sells a wide variety of goldfish. Well worth a visit just to see the goldfish and the setting of the shop/cafe even if you don't stay for a coffee.

Yelp
I've written a handful of reviews about how tradition lives on in Japan, and here's another one of them. Goldfish have been a popular pet in Japan since the Edo period (or maybe even before that), and the goldfish have evolved in color and style through breeding and importing new types from abroad. According to their website, this store has been in business for 350 years! Dang! This little café down the hill has a number of large pools filled with everything from common goldfish to fancy ones. Each type of goldfish are pooled together. They even hold "goldfishing" where one can "fish" koi and whatnot. I didn't look into it but it seems like neighborhood children spend what little allowance they have on this activity. Inside the cafe, tiny fishbowls are placed at most tables.... It would've been great if Mr. Goldfish at our table wasn't so inanimate. -1 for that. He looked so weak and tired...! Talk about losing your appetite. The goldfish at other tables were up and about, swimming effortlessly. Everything they offered was at a reasonable price and the atmosphere was comfortable.

Yelp
My first time here so I had to have their signature black beef curry and I was NOT disappointed. The lunch set came with your choice of black tea, Chinese tea, or coffee (hot or iced), a green salad, miso soup, a small dish of pickled onions, ginger, and cucumbers, black beef curry, and annindofu for desert. I highly recommend the Iced Chinese tea with this set. The curry was tasty and the beef was very tender. Portions were just right. Cost was ¥1700, so a little high for a lunch set, but given the quality still reasonable and recommended.
