This is a cafe known for their Black Forest cake. Unfortunately, they were sold out of the cake the afternoon of our visit, so this review is issued with that caveat. The atmosphere is pleasant and what we ordered (green tea, scones and yogurt cake) was good if unremarkable. What warrants the low rating is rudeness of the staff and the complexity of the ordering system. If you want tea or coffee, you must first sit down at a table and order your drink. Upon ordering our tea, we attempted to order food and were brusquely informed that we must leave our table and wait in line at the adjacent counter to choose our food. So we did, and that's when we learned they were sold out of Black Forest cake. After we ordered our food (cakes/scones at a counter, nothing to be prepared), we were told we now had to return to our table without our cakes and the waitress would deliver them to us. Finally, as soon as the waitress dropped off our food, she asked us to pay right then as she was finishing her shift and didn't want to wait for us to finish our food/tea.
Perhaps the rudeness/idiosyncratic atmosphere in this cafe would have been worth it had we arrived early enough to get a Black Forest cake. Nonetheless, we left very unimpressed.
