We are tourists, and we expected at least a basic welcome. Instead, at this place in Playa del Duque we were left standing at the entrance for over 10 minutes with no smile, no greeting, nothing.
Despite being in a major international tourist area, the staff insisted on speaking only Spanish, ignoring any attempt at English.
I understand national pride, but this is Europe – some openness towards travellers should be common sense.
Honestly, even in Liguria – and I’m from there – I’ve met friendlier staff. Definitely not coming back.
