"Coffee in a Historic Theater Oaxaca's Macedonio Alcalá theater was built between 1903 and 1909. It is striking from the outside, but the interior is even more impressive, with a marble staircase and paintings on the domed ceiling and walls. The cafe on the theater premises is a franchise of La Organizacion, a Oaxacan company that serves organic, fair trade coffee from small producers. Unlike that of the theater itself, the cafe's decor is modern, and entirely black, white and red. It is an appealing spot to pass some time, or grab a coffee on the go. The quote from Mexican writer Elena Poniatowska on the wall: "un buen cafe cambia la vida" (a good coffee changes life), comes from a 2008 article she wrote about the joys of coffee and the importance of fair practices for those who produce it."
I grab breakfast there sometimes but the short lady (cashier) has a very unfriendly, unkind attitude. She literally got angry because I asked a simple question about an order I took. Because I got confused (a client is not supposed to make mistakes I guess). She needs to fix her attitude and control her nasty temper. I'm definitely never returning. The food was pretty good and delicious and the other service lady (the taller one) was more polite. But they're pretty weird. They give you weird looks and facial gestures.

A lovely place for coffee and I always love places that serve healthy, earth-friendly products. Uno de mis favoritos.

De por gusto tienen un restaurante si tiene a unas personas que no atienden y mucho menos se acercan a preguntar que queremos ordenar. Más de 15 min a que salieran a atendernos. Mejor nos retiraremos. FATAL SERVICIO. CERO RECOMENDADO.

This is a co-op that produces only organic coffee. The coffee here is one of the best in Oaxaca, but you can't say the same about their smoothies. They're not even made with real fruit and the size changes, don't order to go, the cup is smaller but they charge the same for the bigger cup they give you when you drink it there.
The desserts were not my things, again too sweet and nothing special.
They do need to work a bit on the customer service, I'm not saying young people can't manage a business, but a lot don't have the experience to do it or they just don't care enough since it's not their business.
