Cafe LIV is a very nice place to drink a good coffee and have a (vegan) sandwich or a vegan cake. I had the coconut cake and it was super delicious and fluffy. The ambiance is great and the staff is super friendly. I also had the banana chocolate cake wich was also very good. This is a must stop when you are in Murren! 😋

I absolutely adored this place! Bruno and Nessi are so sweet and bring a smile to your face. This is a must visit shop. The coconut vegan cake and the mint tea is life altering. Must try once in your life.

Delicious coffee! We also enjoyed the Forest Berry Kuchen & the Lemon Kuchen. The staff was friendly & helpful. We loved sitting on the outside terrace with gorgeous views of the mountains.

I had a very good matcha latte here which tastes real matcha and not too milky but still creamy. The chocolate cake melts in your mouth and not too sweet. The service was also very friendly.

If you ever find yourself on Schilthorn Mountain, make sure to stop by Cafe Liv—a cozy, charming little spot nestled in the snow. This cafe is a hidden gem with a warm atmosphere that feels like a home away from home. The homemade cakes and tarts are absolutely delicious, perfect for a sweet treat after a day on the slopes. But the real standout? The cheese and nachos—they’re worth dying for! The combination of rich, melt-in-your-mouth cheese and perfectly crispy nachos is irresistible. And don’t forget the coffee—it’s truly amazing, strong and rich, just the way you need it when you’re up in the mountains. The host, a lovely couple, makes the experience even more memorable with their friendly and welcoming service. It’s clear they put a lot of love into what they do. Prices are very reasonable, especially considering the stunning location. This is one of those places that feels so authentic and personal, and supporting them is a wonderful way to give back to people who are running the cafe from their home. Highly recommend stopping by for a heartwarming break in the snow! Cafe Liv is definitely a must-visit spot!

Google
Visited this cafe twice because it has a lovely ambience inside but unfortunately both times the order was wrong, the first time was supposed to be chilli hot chocolate but was just hot chocolate and the second time was an oat milk latte that ended up being an açai pink latte, the staff behind the counter seemed a little distracted whilst taking orders It’s a shame because it’s a lovely cafe if not a little expensive

Love the selection of vegan food and drinks, with a warm and cozy ambience and the sweetest hosts. I loved the vegan hot chocolate and freshly made orange cake - never had better vegan hot chocolate and cake!

Yelp
I was so excited to find vegan desserts and an iced oat latte! The almond cake was my favorite. Their vegan sandwich is a nice collection of roasted veggies. Staff were friendly and really seemed to be enjoying themselves.

Yelp
Many vegan options! Alternative milk (oat). Has decaf espresso. My husband got a gluten free and vegan peanut butter cookie. I got a chocolate ice cream on a stick with cacao nibs. Great treat! Love the vibe here.

Yelp
The cafe and the staff are charming here. Very welcoming, friendly, and happy to speak several languages. Our server warmly responded to my attempts at speaking German. My family had a lovely lunch; It's a smaller cafe but I found it cozy. The weather was perfect so we chose to sit at one of their outdoor tables. The veggie and ham sandwiches were especially delicious as were the baked goods. Lemon and chocolate cookies with cappuccinos were a perfect way to reenergize. Thoughtful and well crafted food is served here. It's very clear they care about what they do. Loved this spot :).

Yelp
Cute cafe with outdoor and indoor seating. Different baked goods to choose from and a couple sandwiches too. I got the brie and jam sandwich. The toast it so it's warm and gooey. The ham and cheese croissant was one of the better ones we've had, and believe me we've had a lot because my husband loves to order those! The croissant was airy and flaky! We also had a white chocolate and cranberry cookie was that on the crunchy side and a Portuguese almond tart.

Yelp
Cafe with a beautiful view. Coffee's pretty good and reasonably priced. I wanted to try the baked goods, but there're just so many flies on them during the summer and they didn't bother covering them.

Yelp
Just walked in after a long hike to get some food and a worker said "we're closed" at around 3:45pm and so we walked out and then they opened the window and said it was a joke. I think many would agree that's a super weird joke. As someone who works in hospitality I would recommend understanding customer service and saying things like that are a little off putting for a business.

Yelp
Fun scene. Lots of things for kids to do here. Great outdoor seating. I enjoyed a nice glass of wine while my companion enjoyed a ham and cheese croissant

Yelp
Very cute, quaint, family owned coffee shop. Great views on the edge of the mountain. Comfortable seats. Clean. Great cappuccinos! Friendly owner. They also sell some baked goods.

Yelp
One of the best breakfast/lunch spots! The server was incredibly kind and went out of her way to make sure we had a seat in the sun and were well taken care of. All of the food we had was absolutely fantastic, my husband especially loved the chestnut soup! Highly recommend stopping here for a bite to eat!

Yelp
Delicious baked home goods. Definitely recommend the vegan banana bread. Out of this world! Chocolate cake was good too. Such a lovely owner/baker.

Yelp
Great little cafe for sandwiches and drinks. Only little place we found open for lunch. 2 sandwiches and 2 glasses of their homemade lemonade was 31 Swiss Francs

Yelp
Wow that s exceeded expectations. Fantastic coffee. Got the soup (chestnut) having no idea what to expect and it was amazing. Very cute and relaxing cafe. Indoor and outdoor seating

Yelp
This cute little cafe is Mürren (atop Lauterbrunnen) is perfect. Adorable atmosphere, very affordable lunch /snack options (ham and cheese croissant, paninis, etc). Everything was delicious too! Breath of fresh air among heavy Swiss food

Yelp
We were traveling and there were 10 of us so we ordered lattes to go. I was the last one to order and get my drink. She was upset that we ordered take away but were all sitting outside at their tables. I said our intent was to leave but with 10 of us what do you want us to do? One of us was sitting inside with their drink and pastry and when I got mine I sat by him and was saying I guess were ready. One of the workers had complained about our "take away" already and when she walked by us sitting at the table she rolled her eyes at us and gave us a dirty look. I couldn't believe it. I regretted that I had tipped!

Jacob S.

Yelp
Cute, small cafe with delicious food and drinks. We had the daily special ham and cheese croissant which was perfect. I'd definitely recommend this for a low-key, cafe experience. Oh, and they have beer, wine, and liquor.

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick sandwich and coffee after seeing Schilthorn. It's a tiny place with a few outdoor tables. The sandwiches are pre-made, but very tasty. The coffee is really good. A very pleasant place to sit and relax when the weather is good.
