i am obsessed with günter coffee roasters, and the first time i visited Freiburg was on a saturday evening. i was so disappointed that my trip will miss a major landmark. but my friend and I still wanted to have a coffee, and café marcel was the closest coffee shop open on a sunday. to our surprise, we ended up at café run by the same team and roasters. i love the günter café in the Altstadt, but café marcel has a special place in my heart. i come here all the way from Basel, and it's one of my go-to places when i'm feeling down. highly recommend visiting them! lovely people, awesome food (definitely try out their sandwiches and cookies), delicious coffee, and a vibe that lets you spend a few moments of tranquility

Extremely watered down, almost see-through cold brew and a default tipping option on the card paying machine. Croissant and location were good.

In 40 years of drinking coffee, this is quite possibly the best cafe macchiato I have ever had. The smoothness and aftertaste, not to mention the friendly service and lovely presentation, is out of this world. Thank you, Café Marcel!

The best top 5 coffee in Freiburg. you must try the Canelé and Pain au Chocolat(Schoko Croissant). My french friends proved its good. when the french tells that this dessert is good, it's good. They have seats outside when it doesn't rain. Take out is also possible. They use Oatly for Hafermilch. They accept cards.

Top specialty coffee in the park. Perfect for enjoying an espresso while relaxing on the lounge chairs.

Perfect spot to start our journey into Freiburg. The service was very friendly and the coffee, banana cake with homemade chutney and the croissants were phenomenal. To my delight they also had club mate. The piece full surrounding park made our stay there very relaxing. I hope I will have the opportunity to have a coffee there again.

The best coffee I had in Freiburg. Very delicious cappuccino, and they make Aeropress and Hario V60 pourovers as well! I strongly recommend checking this place out if you're into third wave coffee, or any good coffee. Super friendly service as well. :)
