During our first-time visit and breakfast today at Cafe Mark, there was a consistent line of at least ten people, it never stopped. That was very telling and this restaurant's vibe and food quality absolutely deserve the attention. It's nice to see an establishment doing so much steady business.
For $50, we had two make-your-own omelets with toast (one cheese only and one with bacon, ham, feta, green peppers, onions and mushrooms), one side of potatoes, one hot coffee, one iced Chai of Sauron (amazing name AND taste!), blueberry muffin, and to go we grabbed a blueberry lemon pastry, and one massive cinnamon roll and another equally massive peanut butter cinnamon roll. A ton of food for a reasonable price.
The omelets were not huge and only came with one slice of bread cut in half, which should really be two slices of bread. The eggs were great though. Potatoes were cooked well and paired nicely with the eggs. The nice young lady who brought the breakfast thought to bring ketchup with the potatoes, which was a good idea.
The coffee drinks were very good and the pastries were out of this world. The restaurant itself has a very comfortable old world vibe, with tall ceilings and a second floor to dine in. It's fairly low fuss and simple, but the menu has a lot to offer for many diets. I can't really comment on the staff since interactions were limited.
Thank you Cafe Mark for a tasty breakfast!
