Google
Visiting from Indiana and found this place and I was just in LOVE with the food and vibe here. We got the red velvet lattes. Delicious and not too sweet!! The red velvet pancakes were so good and if you like goat cheese the Shakshuka hit the spot!

Google
Nice brunch spot that has an outstanding staff - everyone there was so nice! The food was good but nothing amazing. The portion sizes are also on the smaller side of things. The drinks were pretty good and they gave us a little extra which was nice. Would check this spot out if you’re around the area.

Google
Good place for Brunch. They have a simple, yet very sorted menu between breakfast and lunch options. The coffee is good for starters and they have natural juice options too. We ordered the rissotto and velvet pancakes with chocolate chips, very delicious options! The service was quick and attentive and the atmosphere was cosy and relax. Good option for dates and friend groups.

Wow! So happy we came here for Sunday brunch. I didn’t see any photos of the Spicy Chicken Tacos, so here they are 🤗 AMAZING!!! Great service, food and drinks.

Google
Delicious!! We listened to people's reviews and got the breakfast pizza and the red velvet pancakes and they were both incredible. The crust on the pizza was so crispy and delicious, and the potatoes were seasoned amazingly. The pancakes were honestly just dessert posing as breakfast, but we weren't upset about it! I especially loved that the frosting is actually cream cheese frosting, because I feel like a lot of places will just do vanilla. The latte was also very good and I loved the little cookie that came with it. Definitely recommend.

Google
The best spot for breakfast!!!! Their food is amazing!! You have to try their lattes! I had a soy latte. I also had their omelette with wheat bread (not pictured) and potatoes. Also their fruit and granola bowl.

So we went for brunch to Cafe Marquesa, the food was good and the service was on par even though it was packed. We ordered three dishes, the sweet and spicy chicken tacos, the shakshuka and the eggs royal (Smoked Salmon Benedict), along with our usual irish coffees. Of the three the best was the Eggs Royal by far, the hollandaise was luscious and the plate was well balanced. And even though the potatoes were a bit over cooked as was the side of sausage that we ordered the dish was wonderful. The sweet and spicy tacos were also very nice, the mixture of texture between the avaocado, the plantillla and the chicken made for a satisfying bite, but it lacked spice in the sauce so it was mostly sweet chilli in flavor. The shakshuka was well presented it arrived hot and stayed hot until the end of the meal. But it severely lacked flavor, the tomato base was more paste than sauce and lacked both moisture and seasoning. In my humble opinion it would have benefitted greatly from some olive oil, salt and a bit of water to smooth it out. As for the coffee, well you can never go wrong with a taste of Glen in the morning over PR ground beans!

Google
Lovely breakfast spot! Wonderful coffee. I had the waffle with whipped cream and fresh fruit. At our table we also had the French toast, breakfast tacos and the jibaro. French toast was perfection. The jibaro was a ton of food. Yummy chicken sausage! Some of the most perfect breakfast potatoes we've ever had. The breakfast tacos were a little lack luster and needed a boost by one of the many choices of bottled sauces. We were so happy with the service. One of us needed to catch a flight and our waiter was very accommodating, making sure she was taken care of in case she needed to leave. Beyond that, he was super attentive, funny, kind, and personable. We'll definitely visit again if we find ourselves in San Juan again. I personally think 2 people could share some of the dishes and that would help with the higher prices they have here.

Yelp
Came here on a Thursday morning. Not sure if it wasn't packed because it was a weekday but from reading the reviews I decided it was best to make a reservation so I called ahead. When we got there the restaurant was empty and we were immediately seated. We ordered passion fruit and orange mimosas and eggs Florentine for our entree, one with smoked salmon and the other with bacon! It was so good! We ate slowly to savor the food. I would highly recommend this place. The waiters were super attentive and they informed us right away of what was unavailable and of the daily specials. It's a nice neighborhood find but it is easy to miss.

Yelp
Pretty solid meal. Service was nice. Menu à bit overwhelming, too many options so it's hard to choose something. Would definitely come again.

Yelp
Came here Mothers Day weekend and they were pretty full. I recommend making reservations because this location is not very big. The staff was very kind and met all my accommodations. We wanted to dine in but service was going really slow so we changed our order to go. The food was very delicious when I finally got to eat it. My only complaint is the server took other table's orders before ours even though we were ready so two other tables got their drinks and food before us which ultimately resulted in us getting our food to go because we waited about 45 minutes for the food. It was good food, I recommend the guava butter.

Yelp
CLOSED! No one there. Not open (12/5/24). We walked 1/2 mile and it was closed. So sad. Wished we could go. Maybe another time.

Yelp
Great little breakfast gem. The lemonade was delicious and freshly made. The French toast were so soft and light. My wife had a Matcha Cappuccino and el Jibaro breakfast. Everything was perfect in luring the service. Will definitely be back. So many good options. Next time the red velvet pancakes. Very relaxed ambiance. Genuine and you can tell they care.

Yelp
Great coffee, delicious shakshuka (first time I had it), and close to my hotel. The Shakshuka is a huge dish, can probably fit three, but it was too tomato-ey for me, I know it's a tomato dish, but it was just way too acidic. Still, I enjoyed my time here.

Yelp
This is definitely the worst tasting food I've had. I ordered an Irish coffee.. underwhelming... the breakfast taco are great for people that prefer no seasoning on their food. The tacos were burnt, the black beans taste as if they were straight from a can. The texture of the sour cream was off one that was previously frozen and the plantain were fulled tips and some were burnt . I wish I could give this place zero stars.

Yelp
Found this place of Yelp. Was close to our Airbnb. There is plenty of street parking near restaurant. They have inside and outside seating. This is a small but cute place. As you come in they have a bar to your right. So nice. Waiter was welcoming and attentive. Here is what we ordered and loved. Café con leche and cappuccino Orange juice El jibaro Egg Benedict We loved both meals. This is a place to visit for sure for brunch. I heard the pancake are bomb here but we didn't try them. Next time we will

Yelp
I was recommended by some friends. I was really looking forward to it. Place was closed due to unforeseen.

Yelp
Very small place near the main road. I can see this place as a quick grab, but the area is really small. I would recommend only have 2 -3 people max in your party. Otherwise, it would feel cramped. They seem to have a good Brooklyn type of vibe. The coffee/espresso didnt really do anything for me and it ended up being costly for what I received. The latte didnt seem to entice my friends when they ordered them. It was just not an entirely satisfying experience. However, I did not try their food so please take my review with a grain of salt. I only came here to rest and relax after traveling to Puerto Rico and needed a quick pick me up while it was raining. I did like their bar set up and since it was a good portion of their back counter, they seemed to be more focused on cocktails. I wished I had time to come here to try the cocktails. I guess if I ever come back to Puerto Rico, it could be worth a try.

Toye C.

Yelp
Dry pancakes, flavorless omelette, off-putting orange color of a chai latte, burned tortillas, fresh-from-the-can black beans, lack of seasoning, ugh, it was all so underwhelming. I could have had a V8.

Christopher M.

Yelp
Wtf are those waffles????? And for that price??????? Can I give you waffle making tutorials? Presentation is ok at best
google avatar

Lauren W.

Yelp
Food and service were decent, but the servers did not mention that the add ons they offered (ie fruit for french toast) were extra so I was pretty surprised when I got the bill.
google avatar

Jeff W.

Yelp
Amazed at how bad this place was, considering the number of positive reviews. Ordered breakfast tacos and eggs benedict. The eggs were completely overcooked. The tortillas for the tacos were old and chewy. Tacos were also bland and had no seasoning. On top of that, the food was lukewarm. The only positive thing I can say is the potatoes was tasty. Maybe the reviews were for the waffles? Even still, there are a million breakfast places that are cheaper, faster, and better than this place. Chungus disapproves and will not be back.

Yelp
We really loved this little cafe off the beaten path and found ourselves coming back to it several times during our stay in PR . It's super close walking distance from the hostel we stayed at our first night. The pancakes are the real star . I tried the red velvet and thought it was a bit too sweet for me , but just the regular pancake with butter and syrup hit the spot . Also tried their lattes , all delicious - as well as a more traditional breakfast plate . All the toast in PR is super light and airy . It turns into croutons pretty quick - but it's just their style of breakfast toast. The wait staff , and all staff really , at this location were super patient and sweet.

Yelp
Just an ok experience. We stopped by for brunch on Memorial Day, and it seemed like the restaurant did not have half of the items on the brunch menu. Upon sitting, our waiter was like we don't have A, B, C, D-Z. Perhaps, someone at the restaurant forgot to place an inventory order for the long weekend. That said, I appreciated that our waiter let us know which items were not available before we started to order. I started off with the Bacon Bloody Mary, unfortunately the restaurant did not have the special fusion vodka. No worries, I know how to power through adversity. The bloody was kind of tasteless (eg I did not taste any horseradish in the drink), but once I asked the waitress for Tabasco sauce, salt, and pepper, the bloody was not too bad. For my main course, I ordered the breakfast risotto, which was delicious but the size was kind of small. Maybe the portion was not too small, but why serve it on such huge sized plate? I had to order a couple sides of potatoes and bacon to fill up the plate. Overall, my experience was decent, but I do not think that I would go too far out of my way to dine here.

Yelp

Yelp
Complete brunch package with incredible coffee/chai drinks, extremely well made food, and very friendly wait staff. Our group of 6 called ahead for a reservation, which I highly recommend as Cafe Marquesa can get VERY busy. They were able to reserve our table for 11am on a Saturday morning. The chai is really incredible because it has some sort of spice in it that makes it orange. I had the honey cold brew which is amazing. For food, assume that each meal is a single portion. I usually share with my wife but we both ordered a meal and were very glad we did. She had the eggs Benedict and the eggs were cooked perfectly, the Hollandaise was nice and light, and the potatoes were crispy and had rosemary on them. My avocado toast had perfectly soft avocado with goat cheese, eggs, and a full spinach salad on the side. Food can take a while to be prepared on busy mornings, so expect about 35-45 minutes to get your food after ordering. More time to enjoy your chai!

Yelp
Overall very solid meal. They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and Café Marques has certainly delivered. Expand for more details... The location: The cafe is conveniently located near the beach (about a five minute walk to the park), though it is easy to miss. We walked past it at first and was directed by a local. The ambience: The cafe has a cute decorations (I love the fairy lights) and very friendly staffers. I felt comfortable and welcomed my entire time here. The food: - the red velvet latte, which was delicious and very insta-worthy, would recommend - the fruit salad with granola and yogurt, drizzled in honey. The fruits were freshly prepared and seasonal, featuring a diverse array beyond your typical mix of apple and cantaloupe. - the omelette was well salted, the bread nicely toasted, and the side of potatoes had a nice touch of rosemary. The payment: card / cash The perspective: two college students visiting puerto rico on their spring break

Yelp
I love this this place! Every time I come to Puerto Rico, I always come to this restaurant for brunch! We usually always get the salmon eggs Benedict. Very flavorful. It's a good amount portion, but I wish they gave a little more sides so it's a little more filling, but it's still totally worth it to try! They are actually known for their pancakes. The waiter recommended the pumpkin pancake, and let me tell you ! Fluffy & delicious !! In the past, I've tried their red velvet coffee, which I enjoyed, especially because they create a cute little picture with the milk. This place pays attention to details when it comes to their food! I enjoy that about this restaurant. Everytime I go, the waiters are always so friendly! I don't speak Spanish, so I always feel comfortable speaking English to the waiters here. Overall, experience has always been 5/5 for me!

Yelp
Try the pancakes, latte or Cuban! This place doesn't miss. Fresh delicious food with big portions at a cheap price. I don't know how they do it but they got the secret sauce. The pancakes are light and fluffy with just the right amount of sweetness. I recommend adding blueberries as well, the tartness helps balance things out. The Cuban was great, heeps of roast pork which i think is house made; incredibly moist and meaty. The bun was big but soft and a good size for the burger. The service was friendly although a bit slow but the food quality more thab makes up for it. There is medium amount of seating but you should probably make a reservation if you can. Overall my experience was amazing and i highly recommend anyone in the area to stop by.

Yelp
Giving a 3 stars for the service and coffee. The waiter was really friendly but the food wasn't great. I think this place thinks Americans do not enjoy flavor other than hot sauce. We ordered breakfast tacos which had no seasoning at all. It had no flavor and clearly had been sitting for a while because the tortilla was falling apart from being soggy. They could have added some more potatoes. The pumpkin fresh toasts also lacked in flavor and they forgot to give syrup. The omelette looked and tasted like it was steamed and had no flavor. Places to Eat if you enjoy flavor: Tayzan (chinese) Serafina (Italian) Ali Baba (Turkish) Bebo's Cafe (diner type) Finca Cialitos (coffee) Anita's (ice cream) Pinky's (breakfast)

Yelp
This is a great place for brunch. My oat milk latte was perfect! My husband had a traditional breakfast and he ate everything on his plate, which is rare for him. I had the seasonal pancakes which were pumpkin. I should have ordered only one because they are very filling! Great flavor and not too sweet. Great service too!
google avatar

Tina H.

Yelp
Everything I have tried herr has been really good. The red velvet pancakes are decadent, the risotto could be creamier but it is still savory, the breakfast tacos are filling and large, and the breakfast pizza is for everyone who loves pizza and everything that goes into breakfast platters. So many dishes go by as we wait that look so good that I know I will be returning for more. Especially the steaks and eggs!

Yelp
I thought this place was perfect! Off the beaten path a bit, and got there first thing in the morning - so literally no wait what so ever. The waiter was very nice, and was open to helping me out with suggestions. I was craving a lot of things, so he really helped me narrow it down. The coffee was excellent! The food was solid. The standout for me was the oatmeal. It says it is spiced, and that flavor was seriously memorable. I literally don't think I've had better oatmeal than that. I also ordered the mini pancakes and the "diego" sandwich. Both are standard, not out of this world, but definitely not bad by any means. The portions were great too, felt like they were well worth the cost. Would highly recommend visiting for anyone who has a couple of days, this could easily be a highlight of a trip.

Yelp
It was mentioned as one of the must try places in San Juan. We arrived and was seated pretty quickly. The place is very small. I would recommend going early or making a reservation. Although we were seated quickly, the service was not as quick. It took a while to receive water. By the time the water came, we were ready to order. I ordered the breakfast tacos with a side of potatoes and a wild cherry mimosa. I'm not sure if they were short staffed but it took a while to receive both. Just know if you go, plan to wait a bit and don't go super hungry. The wild cherry mimosa was good but not as good as the passion fruit one. Passion fruit makes everything good. Once the food arrived we were ready to chow down. I was missing the sour cream with my tacos so I had to go to the bar for that. The breakfast tacos were good but the eggs were cooked a little too hard and were dry. I had to use ketchup to help with the flavor. The other person I was with order the eggs Benedict with salmon and one red velvet pancake. She like her eggs Benedict and we both agree the pancake was super sweet. It was good. Overall, it was good place to try.

Yelp
Great place. Bloody Pig is to die for! Staff is attentive and knows customer service! Note: bring your vaccination card or no entry

Deanna S.

Yelp
Great service and super yummy food and coffee. such a fun find!! Got the honey cold brew and it was better than Starbucks!
google avatar

Lisa G.

Yelp
Stopped in for eggs Benedict with a side of home fries and a passion fruit mimosa. Everything was fine... not excellent. Just good. Service was great. Prices were okay. Atmosphere is casual, but clean, bright and new. It didn't blow me away, but it'll do in a pinch. Don't think it'd be on my top list of places to return, though. Just average.

Yelp
A quaint spot located in San Juan Puerto Rico. Situated in small shopping center is this breakfast gem. Stopped here for breakfast and was not disappointed. The decor is minimal but hip, and the service is unmatched. I ordered a la carte and had the pancakes, bacon, and house fries. The pancakes were fluffy with a little bit of crisp on the outer edges. The potatoes were seasoned well and the bacon was cooked to perfection! I did not order this, but my friend had the homemade bread that was so fresh that is melted in your mouth! If you're ever in the area you don't want to pass up this spot!

Yelp
Amazing food Dope staff Amazing vibe I love there coffee and it's so cheap Their "spiced oatmeal" (avena.. they had to gentrify it for the tourists ..lol) is soooo good and with the right amount of cinnamon and the lemon zest with the blue berries is a really refreshing touch I love the steak and eggs Well seasoned And you can't go wrong with the salmon eggs Benedict it's a must for brunch

Yelp
Everything was excellent. From service to food. Ambiance is nice and sweet. All that we ordered was amazing.

Yelp
@2_forks_1_plate in #puertorico came through and grabbed some breakfast @cafemarquesa the drinks were delicious. I wasn't a fan of the Red Velvet pancakes and the French toast was soggy in the middle. Extra wet French toast. Yelp
Nice stuff ! Tasty food! They cook everything so fast. I just ordered- and got my Benedict's in 5-7 min! Coffee is a good too! The best spot for breakfast!

Yelp
Really liked this place! Came twice during our trip to Puerto Rico. Got the eggs benedict the first time which was great. French toast the second which was decent. Good coffee and mimosa! The cuban is also very good. One star down though because they were out of red velvet pancakes both times, which is my favorite dish. Would come again. Eggs benny pictured

Yelp
We were looking for some delicious food after just landing and came across these red velvet pancakes! They were definitely as good as they look! Make sure you add them to your order because they do not disappoint!! The service here is amazing, they are so friendly and professional.. we were also given a free mimosa!

Yelp
A nice little coffee shop on a side street near our hotel. We had breakfast tacos and they were really good. The coffee and service were also hard to beat.

Yelp
Cute cafe in San Juan. We stopped in on a rainy morning for a quick breakfast and loved everything we tried here. I had waffles with fruit and a chai latte. My husband had the shakshuka which he really liked. Best thing was the service! Staff was very very nice and gave us a quick run down of the menu even before ordering. Give them a try!
google avatar

Heather J.

Yelp
Loved this cafe. I would definitely come back and recommend. When we walked in there were open tables so we were seated and quickly brought menus. The waiters allowed us enough time to review the menu and we decided upon café con leche w/oat milk and spicy breakfast, passion fruit mimosa and original pancakes. All the food was good. The service was great and the vibe was nice. Salsa music was playing in the background but not too loud you couldn't carry on a conversation.

Sarah O.

Yelp
Wish I could give this 4.5 because the food was so delightful! This unassuming hole in the wall can give any of the fancier, trendier brunch traps a run for their money. The scrambled eggs was beautiful and some of the best I've ever had. The avena was wonderfully creamy--a bit too sweet for me but probably apt for most customers. The best part is I only spent $11 on my meal (avena +eggs) . While other brunch places charged double for the same meal!

Bri M.

Yelp
Great spot for a quick breakfast! Fruit bowl was delicious and the spicy breakfast was very good!
google avatar

Elin T.

Yelp
This place is great! Brunch portions were filling and delicious. The star was the special of the day - chocolate french toast. I still crave it. It was so good that we returned the next day and ended up trying different things. Nothing disappointed. I recommend the mojito deal! Perfectly refreshing and a perfect way to start your day. Service was super friendly. Will return

Yelp

Yelp
Everytime I come to San Juan I come here. The coffee, food and service is always amazing.

Yelp
We stopped by for brunch because of the rave reviews on Yelp. And the reviews are definitely on point. First up, the menu is in Spanish with no additional description. But fear not if you don't know the language, our server was the nicest person. She was ready to explain the whole menu to us, so kind! We ordered the brunch pizza. It has scallions, scrambled egg whites, bacon and roasted potatoes. Since we don't eat bacon she gave us options to replace it and we chose chicken. Such a rare occasion when you can substitute a topping at no extra charge! It was so very tasty, the chicken even had a special rub on it. We also had a hazelnut latte and a vanilla latte - delish, especially the vanilla one. As a bakery item, we had the mallorca. It came with a side of butter. The bread itself was not too sweet, just a little dry for my liking. Parking is available on the street. Some are metered spots. If you want to visit the restroom, ask for the key (attached to a spoon, cute!) at the counter. Overall, a great experience. Must visit!

Dave L.

Yelp
It was closed last time I went by. Glad to see it open this time! Few sits with a few more outside. I got the standard bacon and eggs with potatoes wedges. All tasty. I did get one buttermilk pancake and I have to say, super light and tasty! They had waffles on the menu and will have to give those a try next visit. I will be going back
google avatar

Kristen G.

Yelp
We had a wonderful brunch here. Definitely recommend if you are visiting San Juan! Food & service were great.

Cory T.

Yelp
Food was average. Menu is outdated on here, no more Bloody Pig. Service was the worst in PR. They will get you the food and forget about you completely. Almost dined and dashed bc I had to wait 25 mins when I asked for the ticket.

Yelp
Delicious food! Really great service and fast too! The coffee drinks are spectacular. We didn't do any of the cocktails, but the coffee inspired ones were really good!
