Cafe Miele Breakfast and Lunch

We have been coming here for 10years plus and always enjoyed the food and service. Our favorite waitress was Lisa. She was really good at her job and got to know her customers. The past 2 times we were here we didn’t see her. Service was not the same. Seemed like all new waitresses. We asked about her and was told she retired. Well today she was our waitress at Southfork! She said she did not retire, but was let go after 10 years. Sad. We don’t plan to return to Miele where they don’t value the people who helped make them a great place

Wow! I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. The menu was huge.. they offer breakfast and lunch. The food was hot, fresh and delicious as ever. Portions are huge. Service was superb. I will definitely be back. Family friendly and they offer a great kids meal. They have fresh juices and wonderful smoothies. Lots of parking available in the lot. Clean restrooms. Staff is extremely pleasant and helpful. This would be a great place for a family meal or even a date. I will be back for more deliciousness!

I'm a regular and can't say enough about their great atmosphere and excellent food! However, today my party dealt with a very annoyed server. She had little patience and was very rude when we asked for anything. I didn't appreciate the responses she gave especially when I invited a large crowd that hasn't been there before to experience this restaurant. Overall, I will continue being a loyal customer, but will refuse to be served by her. I have yet to be disappointed by anything on their menu!!

Food and service here were not good at all. Came to try because of all the positive reviews. My skillet was ok came out warn not hot. Juice was fresh but not very good for the price. My mom tried the farmers Bennie and it was absolutely horrible. Vegetables looked like they came out of a can. Complained to waitress and manager and nobody seemed to care. Waitress was too busy to give the service I would have liked. Definitely will not be coming back and would suggest that you go try somewhere else, there's plenty of breakfast places in Orland Park.

This place is so very yummy. The coffee was delish. Their biscuits and gravy are fire 🔥. I got a veggie omelette with avocados inside 🙈🥳🤸‍♀️. Definitely recommend this place. Our server was so sweet and consistently checking up on us.

I went in today for the first time and our waitress didn’t introduce herself. I told her I wanted my burger well done and it was still pink showing in the inside. I ordered a smoothie and I didn’t like it so I asked her if I can switch it out she argued with me and asked what’s wrong with it I said I didn’t like it, I had to ask for the manager for anything to be done. She said the manager will take it off your bill and then walked off. I said I wanted to switch it out not take it off my bill but I didn’t even bother ordering another one. She actually didn’t even come back to our table after that besides to give us the bill. I can’t tell if she had an Attitude or if she was just overwhelmed because she was the only waitress but either way her service was not good and the food was mediocre.

Good food but a bit pricey for breakfast. Nice sized portions. Seems like they are always short on wait staff so it makes no sense that they don't have the bus people come around with coffee refils.

Food was really good! A lot of variety and everything tasted fresh. I had an omelette that had chorizo and chorizo tasted like made in house rather than packaged. Comfortable booths. Shelly was a great server - kept my coffee full and was very friendly and quick with everything. Will come back!

This place is located in a strip mall with ample parking. It is clean and has nice decor. Staff is friendly. We were greeted and seated quickly. Our waitress, Shelly, was great! She gave recommendations and mentioned which items were popular among the customers. They have many options on their menu, as well as fresh-squeezed juice. Hubby ordered orange juice and the country-fried steak, which came with eggs and hash browns, with a choice of pancakes or toast. I ordered the Cafe Miele scrambler with the same options. The hash browns are not seasoned, but that's not a big deal. The portions are huge, and despite being a standard breakfast place, it's a good neighborhood staple, and we enjoyed our food.

The server was attentive, the booth was clean and overall it was good. It was the food that was just ok. I had the hillbilly. The gravy lacked flavor and one of the eggs was like an overdone hard boiled center. The fruit was great. The juice my friend had was great. I am guessing if I went back I would get a skillet because they looked delicious.

Very good good. Quick service. Never a disappointment every time dining here. Definitely a place to frequently eat at.

I dined in at Cafe Miele and the food was excellent!!!! I had fresh squeezed orange juice and a pumpkin spice latte which also was phenomenal! The chicken florentine crepes were delicious as well as the hollandaise sauce! Shelly was my server and she was amazing. She was very nice and had several good recommendations. She was also very friendly and attentive as well. The prices were also very reasonable. If you want a great meal at an affordable price, I highly recommend this place. I can't wait to dine in here again! The staff is amazing! Keep up the good work guys, outstanding service in the Orland Park community!!!

Service was ok. It gets pretty busy. Portion sizes are great. Love this for breakfast. Ambiance is always busy and kind of loud but family friendly. Not a lot of servers for a busy restaurants

Very nice place! It was very welcoming!! The server was very attentive and nice. We ordered our breakfast: crab cakes and egg Benedict. They had some yellow cream and hash browns. We shared but I don't like the eggs Benedict. So I gave her the eggs and I just ate the crab cakes with the bread. They were good. The coffee was refilled every time. We also ordered some French toast. They were the thick ones and were so delicious. We enjoyed out time there. Thank you! They have plenty of different choices for breakfast and lunch. Sadly I didn't take any pictures. I thought I did.

Fantastic breakfast, brunch restaurant. The homemade jelly is a family favorite of ours. My kids can tear up their fluffy pancakes on each visit. Their unique smoothie and coffee selection makes for a nice treat too. I love that they have both healthy and gluttonous options. Everyone leaves happy !!! We waited for longer than expected on today's visit, but the server communicated and apologized for the delay and that is meaningful for us ! Stopped here to meet a friend for lunch. It is a nice cafe in a strip mall so plenty of parking. Soup came with my Athenian wrap-spinach wrap with chicken, black olives, peppers, feta, Greek dressing. It was near closing so the only soup available was the beef noodle which was very good. I could've had that in a large bowl and been fine! The wrap needed more dressing but I was busy enjoying the fries so I picked through that. Fries also came with the wrap and were cooked well. I ordered the cheesy fries cuz why not?! They brought the cheese in a separate bowl which was a good move! They had gluten free breakfast and lunch items which worked for my friend. He made his own skillet and was happy with the way it turned out with his special request of cooked veggies (not thrown in and still raw). Great casual place to meet up and grab a nice meal with a friend for breakfast or lunch. Service was great and our waitress was friendly!

Traditional breakfast joint with a weirdly expansive difficult menu. Fortunately they delivered on the basics. Breakfast Sampler - Two eggs any style with two slices of bacon, one sausage patty, one jumbo sausage link, hashbrowns, and choice of pancakes or toast was reasonably priced -- hard to mess up the basic breakfast and they didn't. My wife enjoyed the Avocado Egg Bake consisting of two eggs in avocado halves served with hash-browns. This dish is more easily served with flaws--none here except it needed seasoning.

Simply fantastic!!! Mieles delivers another tasty breakfast !!!! Their lunches are magnificent as well!! Hillbillby Benedict, traditional breakfast and 9 delicious pancakes , Apple Cinnamon, banana and one plain yummy!!!!!!!!! Try the grouper and you'll see what I mean lol

This is a pretty consistent restaurant. However when they are busy you can have a bit of a wait from time food is ordered until receiving it. That being said food is good. Nice portions. Smoothies and fresh juices are available. Ham is off the bone. Cinnamon raisin French toast is good. Breakfast sampler is nice when can't decide. Service is friendly.

I like this place for breakfast not to say I wouldn't go here for lunch. It's clean, reasonably priced and you get a lot of food. I had the chicken florentine crepes and it was tasty. Love the hollondaise sauce. It was busy today but that's good. Means a great place. My husband always gets an egg white omelette and he ate it all. Great place in Orland Park!

The food is always delicious here, I love the Fiesta Skillet with chorizo. You get so much food I always get my pancakes to go. Servers are always attentive and accommodating.

Best breakfast food in the area. Get anything with scrambled eggs or omelet and you won't be disappointed. The homemade jam with toast is nice too.

The service is solid 5 stars. The food is 4. And the ambiance is elegantly comfortable. I would return, for fresh orange juice and a standard breakfast.

My wife and I had our sight on "Girl in the Park" restaurant, however we now know it is closed on Monday and Tuesday. Café Kiele was open, we were very hungry. We were pleasantly surprised how soon our food was delivered after ordering. The Café Moca's were spit on. The restaurant is very clean and organized for a noon day locals crowd. We will definitely be returning!

I've been eating here for years. In particular, I love the fact that Cafe Miele pays attention and follows directions on how you want your food prepared. Today, however, the cook got my carryout order wrong. Not an issue! The owner apologized, quickly corrected the problem and gave me a free OJ for my trouble. Excellent customer service and great food. I highly recommend this place.

This location is great for family events and outings. Though it was crowded the wait time wasn't long and we were seated within a timely manner. This is definitely a perfect spot to have a full meal with plenty of options for those who may need a little more time deciding on what they want to order.

The food is excellent. Every breakfast order I've had has been very delicious. Their soups are great! The food is always fresh and the portions are good. The place is clean and cheerful. They have adequate help to keep things moving along industrial well. Always a positive experience going there.

The food was amazing. It came out hot and looking so appetizing. My husband had the veggie omelette and I chose an egg white omelette. Service was awesome. Shelly our waitress was attentive but not intrusive. The ambiance is great for lunch or breakfast. This was our 4th time there and it's a great experience every time

I have gone multiple times , I'm celiac and have had no reactions to their any gf items on their lunch menu. Chicken quesadilla is amazing , highly recommend it!

my husband ran in and got me a mocha latte. after taking a sip I told him to take it back as it had no coffee in it. They didn't try it or pour it out just told him it was right. I've been drinking mochas for 20 years and on my 2nd machine at home. this had no coffee or water down coffee in it. very disappointing.

Enjoyed my meal. Very accommodating for me being a carnivore. Perfect eggs, bacon with additional cheese. Fruit instead of potatoes or toast. Service was adequate but could have been more friendly.

My small family was hanging out nearby and looking for a lunch place mid day before heading back home in the city. Cafe Miele came up on Yelp, for which I'm grateful. Upon arrival it was packed; we were concerned there wouldn't be an open table. But the host found us a spot we couldn't see from the entrances. The menu is massive. I'm pescetarian and had plenty of options. The list of smoothies alone was fairly extensive. We were tempted by breakfast and ordered the cinnamon apple crepe, eggs Benedict farmer's market, and oatmeal for our kid. All of the food was flavorful, most or all of it homemade, and the portions were huge. You might think it's pricey until you factor that all in. I ordered a chai latte. I didn't actually see it on the menu as I was focused on food. I don't more - maybe it was there. In any case our server said they had it, and wow was it excellent! The good didn't stop with the food and drink, either. The fruit on the side was fresh, and all of the accoutrements for the crepes and oatmeal (quite the stack) were homemade. Call us cheap but we actually packed them up with the leftovers. Add perfectly attentive & friendly service, and you've got a winning combo. The only nit pick I have is that it was loud in there, making it a little hard to hear each other. Is that unexpected from a popular place on a Saturday during brunch o'clock? No way! Next time we're in the area we'll be sure to hit it up again. And if you're cruising down I-80 and considering hopping off to visit, do it. You can thank me later.

The service was good. The food was hot and quick. It was a nice portion, but it had no flavor and for a $13 breakfast sandwich it was greasy. I did not enjoy it. Good luck.

Came with a group of 10 on a Saturday morning without a reservation. We had to wait about 30 minutes but they were able to accommodate us which was great. Everyone enjoyed their meal! I had the veggie omelette with fruit and toast sides. It looked like a football- it was huge! The good was great as was the service and there is certainly something for everyone.

We arrived about 1pm for a quick business meeting before heading to another in the area with fine dining. It looked like we were attending a family reunion in the Middle East .... The place was packed to the max for some celebration and we chose to be seated outside on an 80 degree day . Service was a tad bit slow, menu was extensive and food was ok. I got a berry smoothie along with crepes which we shared and asked them to split in the kitchen for an extra $1.50 , my other colleagues had tea, southwestern chicken salad,and smoothies. Overall was not too impressed with taste and ambience.

Tucked away in a strip mall that you can't even see from the street is a gem of a restaurant. Let's start with breakfast. Every egg dish I've ordered has been cooked to perfection. Never runny or undercooked, just really delicious. The breakfast sausage links are the big fat ones with a tiny bit of red pepper inside for some kick. And the kitchen knows how to cook hash browns. They are crispy and brown (never burned) on the outside and tender on the inside. Thick Greek toast and real rye bread are highlights. Coffee is a bit strong but always hot. They don't cheap out on the good stuff and stick to Heinz ketchup here which as most breakfasters can agree really makes a difference. Lunch is equally as good. Don't miss their homemade soups, especially the cream of mushroom. There are real mushrooms in it, not canned slimy ones. Chicken noodle has a flavorful broth. Club sandwiches arrive loaded with bacon and turkey and have crispy dill pickles on the side. French fries are crunchy outside and creamy inside. I've always had outstanding service here. The wait staff is friendly and efficient without being overbearing. Coffee cups and soda glasses are refilled on the regular. All in all, this is what a real neighborhood place used to be. Go enjoy it because there are very few left.

Cafe Miele has been a favorite for years - great food and great service. They are typically super crowded on the weekends but that just proves consistent quality. I knocked off a star because my hollindaise sauce was oddly bitter and his over easy eggs weren't "over easy", they were d*mn near raw.

The food at Cafe Miele is good. Nothing great but good. My problem with this restaurant is the terrible sewer smell in the bathrooms. If you sit on that side thou when the door swings open the odor is very strong and can be smelled in the restaurant. They really need to address this! It's a sickening smell! Don't think I will go back because of this!

I use to love going here for breakfast. The bacado omelette was my favorite. We went last week and when our order came I asked my husband what he thought of the hash browns. He said they're really SALTY. I said oh so it's not just mine. They were inedible. When our waitress asked us how everything was I told her we can't eat the hash browns, too salty! She told us 3 tables over the weekend said the same thing. She said I'll tell my manager and the cook. I saw her tell her manager. He didn't look over at us nothing. When we went to pay he asked how our food was, we said couldn't eat the hash browns too salty. He said well we don't salt them at all and it's the same vender. That was it, no apology no take $5.00 off the bill or a gift card for next time. He really didn't want to be bothered. Therefore he lost us as customers. Has everyone forgotten customer service? I provide a service to paying customers and I bend over backwards to please them. We didn't yell or make a scene we just gave some honest feedback . Miele you need to step it up!!

Always amazing food with huge portions. Super fast service and a great value. This is our go to spot for breakfast and lunch.

Wonderful food, great portions and a very good staff. I took my husband there for the first time yesterday (12AUG2023) and he loved it. He enjoyed talking with the staff and the atmosphere of the place. He loved his food but couldn't eat it all because of the generous portions. He also loved talking to our waitress (Shelly) as they are both ARMY Veterans and loved catching up on their shared experiences. WE WILL BE BACK! Dr. Rick and Diane Concepcion

Nice breakfast place out by the Orland Park Sportsplex - so you can do your workout and then have breakfast. They serve up all the usuals and do them very nicely. I'd give them only 3 stars for the pancakes but 4 stars for pretty much everything else. The menu is like many Greek restaurants - many pages showing many offerings, loads of juices, and practically every breakfast item you could want. They also serve up lunch but we have never taken advantage of that option. Nice roomy dining room with loads of tables and booths to satisfy whatever seating you prefer. Staff was more than adequate and served up the food fresh and hot. Food prices have risen as at other places - most entrees $8 to $13 per, but the food is worth the price. We liked it, we have been here before, and we'll be back again. Try it.

A nice casual spot for breakfast and lunch. They have tons of options so even the most indecisive person could find something they like. My personal favorite part about Cafe Miele is the juice menu and the ability to create your own fresh juice blend. The servers are attentive and always keep your coffee cups full. We always leave here full, happy, and caffeinated!

My wife had a procedure and had to fast. Went to Cafe Miele for breakfast on Friday morning right around 9am. We were seated for 13 minutes and no server, no coffee. Approached manager for server. Still no server while he seated people all around us. We walked out with no server or breakfast. I know its only breakfast, but my wife was hungry. Cross Cafe miele off the list of local breakfast spots for us. Good luck.

A fine place for a breakfast or lunch meal. A menu that goes for all the good combos, brought by a competent staff. Nicely decorated and very clean. Great coffee! It's got my breakfast vote in this area.

I'm in love , the food was amazing. I was so thrilled my sister knew about this place in Chicago and while we were in town we went to have a late breakfast and I can't wait to go back. Yummmm
