Been here on November 17, 2024. The service was very friendly. We each ordered a cappuccino, a warm brioche with beetroot and goat cheese, and a cold one with salmon trout. The brioches were tasty, but according to travel guides they are the specialty here. That was disappointing; you expect more from a specialty than a well-spread brioche bun. We also had jasmin tea and rhubarb schorle. The food and drinks were fine, not great, but certainly okay. The service was attentive and extremely friendly.

Excellent spot in the Saint Pauli area for a breakfast, brunch or dinner. There is a very cute external terrace as well as a big internal space to sit in. The coffee is very good, service is nice and brioches are home made and amazing, the same as in France, my native country. I highly recommend.

Cafe Mimosa is cute, very affordable but it's worth pointing out that the portions are very tiny. We were not in a mood for a Sunday buffet brunch which can be found around this neighborhood so a bunch of us ended up here. The coffee was good but I would not recommend coming here for breakfast. While it's only around 9 eur the plate is very tiny: 3 pieces of ham, 2 pieces of cheese, some cream cheese and jam. No cooked breakfast is served here, only cold cuts. I'm not a huge bread eater but in order to get enough food I stuffed myself with all the bread I got with my order, otherwise I'd walk away hungry. I personally think it'd make more sense raising the prices to 10-15eur and fill up the plates properly so you feel like you are having a proper meal. Right now they are just cashing in on mediocre cold cuts worth pennies. The mixed and the cheese breakfast plates are right now quite laughable, unfortunately.

Ok, took a little lifetime to get the food. No water and paying in cash Germany? lol would not recommend this place to my friends, maybe to my enemies

Very friendly staff and solid breakfast offering. They have several different platters below 10 Euro with good quality cold cuts. The cafe itself is a bit quaint but sympathetic and typical for smaller Hamburg street cafes in old residential buildings.

Super expensive and small portions for the paid price. The waiting was too long only to have some small pieces of cheese, slice of ham, slice of salami, a tiny and microcopic slice of avocado, butter, jam with a piece of bread that was still frozen inside. 12.9 € for that is really crazy.

Yelp
Cafe Mimosa is a great little St. Pauli breakfast spot. There are two main options; cheese & meat or lots of cheese and both are great. The cheese breakfast comes with brie, goats cheese, mozzarella with tomato & balsamic vinegar, cream cheese, some other cheese, grapes, butter, jam, two slices of homemade bread, a bun and a coffee. Basically everything on the plate is of the highest quality, and they give you the perfect amount, so that you'll finish everything, but not want more. The cheese & meat option is the same except you swap the goats cheese & mozzarella for palma ham and some good quality salami. Great value at EUR6.

Yelp
A great little cosy cafe auf dem Kiez to hang out on Saturday or Sunday afternoons in St. Pauli. Located in between the Reeperbahn and Millentorn-Stadion, in whats slowly becoming one of my favorite parts of town, this cafe is off the beaten path enough that there are few tourists and mostly locals hanging out in a relaxed atmosphere. Staff is friendly and after a while you feel like a regular. Prices at Mimosa are very fair, you can easily get a drink and a piece of cake for less than 5 Euros. When you consider that all the cakes are made and baked in the back (it smells quite good on days they are making jam), this is a steal- and they are delicious to boot (Im a fan of the chocolate-poppy-cherry cake). The sandwiches are also great and are a good option for a light lunch.
