I came here on a tuesday morning while visiting koreatown for a small trip. It was a little tricky to find but it’s on the second floor above the concerto bakery. It was quiet with no one else there but the staff made it warm and inviting. I got a honey scotch latte without really knowing what the flavor profile would be. It was delicious it tasted more like caramel and I loved it! My friend enjoyed her black sesame latte and said it had a good nutty flavor. I got a peanut butter banana croissant it was flaky and filling! I recommend this cafe as it has a super chill vibe and the quality is great.

Wow, super cute place! It’s located in the city center on 6th street in ktown, on the second floor, above the concerto bakery. It’s in a quiet little corner, and looks humble outside but the food and service are great. The coffee is immaculate - their snow brew and iced black sesame latte are really good, they’re sweet and maybe you ask for less sugar. We had their avocado toast and the portion was generous, it was good and the barista lady was so kind and friendly. It’s a great place to catch up with friends or study and do some work. I definitely recommend coming here if you’re looking for a coffee shop in the area! Quality service, quality food and drinks all around. Parking is free for three hours with a purchase.

$7 for a latte is a steep price, but sometimes I'm willing to splurge for my local coffee shops. This is located in the corner of the second floor inside the City Center on 6th. Easy to miss, but when you go up the escalator, it's to the left of the K-pop store. I tried the Honey Scotch Latte, which is a butterscotch latte that reminded me of a Harry Potter Butter Beer! Sweet, creamy, and decadent. There's no doubt that the espresso was good quality too.

Nice& neat cafe, if you want to take a coffee break, this is your place. The chair and table are comfortable enough to stay long, and the wifi is fast! Good place for study / reading / etc. Drinks are good too. I will try good next time! XD

Solid, but pricey hidden cafe located in the 6th St City Center with underground parking available from the entrance on Mariposa Ave. The cafe is in the very corner on the right of the second floor elevators. The shop is pretty small with a few tables available. They don't have prices on their menu so you really don't know the price until you order. I got the Black sesame latte with almond milk and the honey scotch latte with soy milk, each coming out to a little over $8. Without the milk alternative each drink is already $7 each, so it's definitely pricey for what you get. The black sesame latte was my favorite with a good amount of black sesame and espresso flavor. The honey scotch was decent in my opinion because it had a unique butterscotch taste that was a bit too sweet for my liking. Overall the drinks are good, but doesn't justify the cost. If you do check them out though, I would recommend their black sesame latte which I enjoyed.

Black sesame latte with soy milk! I'm usually a simple woman that enjoys an iced latte with almond/pistachio/macadamia/soy milk lol. But today, I was something else.. Something more... Something more decadent, you may say. I indulged in a black sesame latte that was perfectly sweet (not too sweet!), nutty, and creamy. Yes, it is definitely a hole-in-the-wall (being that it is in the corner of the plaza), but once you find it - you'll know where to keep coming back! The menu is simple, but the flavor is complex. Loved this place! A very cute, quiet cafe tucked away in the mall. I definitely would want to come back and study or for a chill coffee chat-- very different ambiance compared to other ktown cafes (in a good way)!! FOOD: - Iced Black Sesame Latte: So good!! I've been looking for a solid black sesame latte and this is one of my favorite contenders so far - Iced Scotch Latte: Has good flavor to it, almost a caramelly hint to it. The sweetness balances out the coffee well - Peanut Butter/Banana Croissant: Croissant was good -- flavor is what you expect of a peanut butter banana item. There's honey drizzled evenly throughout which sweetens it and offsets the drying component of the peanut butter SERVICE: They're super sweet!! Loved her so much The lattes can be a bit pricey but honestly that's most things in ktown nowadays. 10/10 would come back :)

This place is a hidden gem cafe above the hmart mall. Ktown cafes are getting crowded!! But this place has wifi, a few seats inside, but was quiet when I went. Service was really kind. We stopped by for a coffee after getting noodles, and the black sesame latte really hit the spot. It ended up being around ~$8 which is probably on the expensive side, but I'm a bit used to it coming from NYC. It was creamy, nutty, and the perfect amount of sweetness combined with the slight bitterness of the black sesame itself and espresso. The one minor issue was that the black sesame powder at the top didn't mix in very well, and would just sink to the bottom, so we would have to swirl and mix it up a bit before every sip.

Ahidden gem. Tucked away on the second floor of City Center, Mooi is worth a visit. The space is clean, minimal, but well-decorated. The classic cafe drinks are offered alongside options with asian/more traditional Korean flavors. They have some food items as well! Though a little pricey, we'd say the experience is worth it! I don't normally like black sesame things, but I've tried my fair share of it because my family likes it (black sesame buns, ice cream, milk teas etc) but this was my first time having a black sesame latte. Saw that this was one of the best places to get it & so even though I thought I probably wouldn't like it, I got it anyway. In the first couple of sips, I was a little odded out by the saltiness. Then, I noticed how creamy it was! Once the black sesame was well-mixed it, it was a perfect balance of salty and not too sweet. It's so, so yummy. Pricey but worth it. Definitely give the black sesame latte a try if you're in the area!

I decided to try this place due to high rating but their coffees were very weak. I tried their black sesame latte and butter scotch latte.... They were just ok. Too weak and too much milk for me. I need my coffee to wake me up too along with good coffee taste. I also tried their breakfast sandwich, that was pretty good. Very healthy and delicious to start the day. But yeah I will not come back for coffee.

I needed to find a place for a pick me up/co-working place for about two hours. I found this place on Yelp and I was off to my coffee adventure. This place is pretty hard to find. It's located on the second floor of the H-Mart shopping plaza, which in all honesty is pretty deserted now with the exception of a few markets including this one. After about 5-7 minutes, I was able to finally able to find this place! It's actually connected to the Equitable building (or as I know it, the Philippine Consulate building), making it easy to grab your coffee. I ordered the black sesame latte which was delicious! Though a bit pricey, if you're a fan of black sesame, this is good. I don't think I've ever had a black sesame latte until coming here to be quite honest, so I was glad to have tried it. They're right across the way from a food court and they also have a few seating options. I didn't find a charging area, so be sure to bring a charged laptop if you decide to work here.

A little hole in the wall coffee spot in the plaza! Went for a morning coffee run and went here! I got the honey scotch latte and the black sesame latte. The black sesame was delicious but the honey scotch was a little lacking in my opinion. It was a little more expensive so keep that in mind! Each drink was $8 but that's with soy milk. I wished they had the prices on the menu, so I wasn't in the dark about how much each drink was. The worker was really nice and helped answer any questions I had!

There's a reason why this place has so many 5 star reviews!!! Completely unassuming, ordinary looking cafe on the 2nd floor of the Wilshire center aka right above the Hmart on 6th street. The cafe is small but cute, but it's right next to an outdoor patio if you want some fresh air. They have such decadent drink options here - it's so good that I wasn't even mad about paying $8+ for my coffee. The black sesame latte was creamy and frothy, almost like a cappuccino. The top is layered with black sesame foam, that you can stir into the drink yourself. It's just the right amount of sweetness. So refreshing! I must try the honey scotch latte next time! Definitely a great place to stop by for a quick pick-me-up, or even an after meal dessert! It's so close to Hangari and Sun Nong Dan after all!

Couldn't decide on what I wanted but I needed my coffee for the day so we decided to drop by here before lunch! My bf looked at reviews of cafes nearby since we were set on a spot for lunch already and this was one of the top rated ones. Great reviews so we took it! We walked over since it was close enough. It turns out that this cafe is inside of a building with H-Mart. We walked to the building and couldn't find the entrance till we walked around it LOL. It seems like the building is pretty vacant? It's like a 3 story building with tons of vacant shops and just seemed all over the place. It was weird and a bit eery. We couldn't find the cafe at first till we started heading up the escalator. There aren't any signs or anything pointing to it but we found it at the very end of the floor, finally. It's a super tiny cafe, few tables (maybe like 2 and then some outside). Wasn't sure what to order and wish I looked at photos and reviews from others before I went for a basic iced hazelnut latte but that's ok! I love hazelnut lattes and this was great! It had the right amount of creaminess to it and wasn't overly sweet. Most people recommended the black sesame and even the banana one which I definitely want to try next time we're in town! TL:DR - Hard to find, but delicious lattes! Located on the 2nd floor of a shopping mall, tucked away in the corner, Cafe Mooi serves up the best black sesame latte I've ever had. Pro-tip, don't get confused with the Cafe Moii on the first floor, it's a clothing store. I had heard about this place from my fiance and was a little skeptical of a black sesame latte, but once I had it, I was converted. I'm a coffee purists. Black coffee, americanos, and lattes, are my standard go-to, so to hear of black sesame being added to it is just blasphemy. BUT, my tongue knows when something is delicious, and this is DELICIOUS! It's sweet and slightly nutty with that bitterness of the espresso coming through, making for an excellently balanced drink. The cream they put on top just adds to it all making it a decadent drink that outshines any type of frappucino or novelty lattes you'll see on IG. Honestly, this is totally worth coming out to K-Town for. Overall, despite the cafe being hard to find, it's a real diamond in the rough. If you're ever at one of the nearby restaurants, stop by Cafe Mooi afterwards for a nice black sesame latte, it'll tuck you in and make your day right as rain.

I been wanting to come here for the injeolmi snow. Decided to go to KT today just to get it lol Definitely worth the drive. The place was located on the 2nd floor at the HMart plaza. I did meter parking 10 minutes free for pick up. The lady was really sweet & nice. She was by herself in the front making drinks. I waited for a bit then realized you self order. I couldn't find the injeolmi snow in the menu because I am so used to drinking latte so I automatically chose the latte selection. The lady then helped me place my order lol it was in the snow section DUH! I was told to mix it well before drinking but it looked so pretty to me that I didn't wanna mix it. Bad idea lol it taste really good when mixed so be sure to follow the instruction and mix well lol

I saw a tik tok video on this Korean coffees shop. I wanted to try this spot because of their black sesame latte but honestly, the snow cap cold brew was the mooooost delicious iced coffee I've had in a while. So creamy, sweet, and fresh. Black sesame was tasty as well, but I agree with other reviewers that it can overpower the coffee. The matcha was good too! I like that it was lightly sweetened. I am typically used to local coffee shops around california that roast their own beans or have more typical latte flavors like vanilla and honey - so a change up around Korean tastes checked off what I've been interested in trying. I'd recommend!

I'm in this building every week taking pilates classes on the 3rd floor. Cafe is quite small, and quaint. Saw the BLACK SESAME LATTE online and I had to try it. LOVED IT, and I'm totally coming back to get it. ENJOY! PS: This is on 2nd floor.

My new favorite go-to coffee shop, and one I recommend to my friends who are visiting ktown. It's a small shop tucked away inside the City Center on the second floor. I highlyyyy recommend the iced black sesame latte (~$7-8) it's packed with black sesame flavor and perfectly sweetened! Make sure you stir it well before drinking it though!

a bit pricey but a solid coffee place! paid $7.25 for a black sesame latte. it's pretty solid although i didn't taste enough coffee flavor. it was pretty milky and nutty. it's a very tiny place so it's easy to miss but you just have to keep walking past the golf place in the mall. drink - 8/10 customer service - 7/10

A must try. I had the black sesame latte amd almond croissant and it was simply that good. Free 2 hr parking with validation so no stress there and worth the trip. I am looking forward to try the honey scotch next.

The barista was very friendly and recommended their black sesame latte. I love black sesame so decided to try it. The latte was not too sweet and you could distinctly taste both the coffee and the black sesame flavor. There's pretty limited seating and one outlet on the side - good place to catch up with friends but not to study.

I love all things black sesame so when a friend told me about this place I had to try their signature drink - the iced black sesame latte. It did not disappoint. It was really good and creamy. Absolutely the most delectable black sesame latte I have ever had in my life. The incredibly thick, wonderfully nutty, complex, and sweet cream on top was a taste I can never get out my mind. This was hands-down the most delicious latte I've tasted. I truly dream of it.

This cafe is basically for takeout. I visited this cafe only because they got great yelp reviews. And, it was not disappointing at all!! Thank you for your honest reviews, Yelpers! I was really impressed by the rich flavor of their iced black sesame oat latte. I have never tasted this type of latte before. The black sesame beautifully added nutty flavor and interesting texture to the iced latte. Also, I think they are using coffee beans from Groundwork Coffee. That's even better!

You guys...... The black sesame latte. Now, I'm usually a black americano type girl when i order coffee, MAYBE a little raw sugar and splash of milk. But I do not order frilly sugary coffee drinks like ever ever. I happened to be working in the area and yelped to find good coffee nearby because I prefer to support small business shops instead of a big chain. This place popped up and I saw pics of the sesame latte - I can explain why but I HAD to try it. Rerouted my whole morning to have the extra 15 minutes. I didn't realize this place is located inside a mall food court area and I almost turned around....SO happy I didn't. That damn black sesame latte was one of THE yummiest drinks I've ever ordered. It wasn't too sweet at all (I did ask them to go easy on whatever sweetener they added) it was nutty, toasty, creamy, amazing. I'm just mad that I don't live anywhere near there so I'm going to have to go way out of my way to get another one. But I most definitely will. I also got a croissant sandwich, which was good too....but that latte. Go get one you'll be thrilled you did!

I've been into black sesame latte these days and I'm so glad I found this place! It's located inside a shopping center and tucked away in a little corner. They have some seating inside and some outside of their kiosk. The service was pretty good, and the barista familiarized me with the menu. The black sesame latte was so good! So flavorful, and highly recommend it if you like nutty/earthy flavors in your coffee.

Overall super small cute cafe that's hard to find. It's located on the 2nd floor of the mall with HMART and concerto bakery in it. There are seats for people to study and because of its location, there's not a lot of people so I feel like it'd be a good place to study. The coffee was a lot more $$ than what we thought it'd be. Found this hidden gem and it was amazing. You can smell the coffee beans from outside the door. Presentation is amazing and the sweet cream! The lady that helped us was so nice and helpful. Explained what was in the late and made the recommendation for the sweet cream on top. It was perfect

Yum! The drinks here were DELICIOUS! My sister and I ordered the Black Sesame and Injeolmi Snow. Both drinks were the perfect balance of sweet and creamy (without being overly sweet). Service was super friendly! We were a bit indecisive about our order, but the barista was helpful and even recommended us ordering both drinks so we could try both.

Small and aesthetic coffee shop in a quiet mall in ktown. After checking other reviews for the parking situation, I parked in the structure of the mall. I was apprehensive at the lack of ticket stubs and validation, but hey my car was still there an hour later. DRINKS ORDERED - Snow brew. A cold brew with thick and sweet cream cap. Tasty! The Taiwanese inside me was happy. - Sesame latte. So pretty, and tasted better than I expected. The warm roasty sesame enhanced the coffee. Rather than powder, the sesame was more like the sweet paste in a jar that you can put on toast.

The Honey Scotch Latte at Mooi is my FAVORITE coffee here in LA. Its located on the second story of a small mall / business center and is in a corner wheres its a bit hard to find. However, you will not regret coming here. The lady who made my drink was so nice and she came to give me my drink happily to where I was sitting. She also joked around with my friends and I and had a smile the whole time we were there! The drinks are on the pricy end ($8 for my latte with soy milk) but supporting small businesses is worth it! Especially when its so good!!

The black sesame latte was so good I can almost justify spending $9 on a coffee... I can't stop thinking about it. The sesame flavor is strong compared to other cafes with similar options which I love. It's also not too sweet! I just wish there were bigger sizes. The cafe is on the second floor of the shopping center and it took just a little bit of searching to find it. Parking is also tricky around the area but luckily we were able to find street parking. I can't wait to come back to try their other drinks!

Great coffee, but a bit pricey! Came here for a black sesame latte today and I do want to be honest and share my full experience. I paid for my latte with a card, went through each screen for tip amount, signature, and receipt only to have the cashier try to tell me that the payment did not go through and that I needed to pay again. I asked if she was sure multiple times because usually, if a card is declined, you would never get to the tip, signature, or receipt screens. She kept insisting that I pay again, which I very reluctantly do. It takes me once again to tip, signature, and receipt pages. Not long after, I receive two separate charges for the same amount. It was exactly what I suspected had happened but luckily I was still there and able to show her. However, she apparently did not have the option to cancel one of the charges at first so only was able to take down my information. About an hour or so later, she called me to confirm that one of the charges was cancelled. I have to say it was frustrating to be so sure that I was charged the first time and then asked to pay again. However, the cashier was kind and apologetic. As for the drink, it was great! Good coffee flavor and I loved the sweetness from the black sesame cream top. I did feel like it was a little pricey at $7 for a black sesame latte with regular milk, $8 for substitute milks. I have gotten this drink at other places, comparable in taste but cheaper, but can see myself coming back if I happen to be in the plaza.

Got the injeolmi snow brew and it was amazing! The barista was also so sweet and friendly - I couldn't decide between the black sesame or the injeolmi snow brew and she told me she likes the injeolmi more so I got it and it was perfect, not too sweet and coffee was so good. You got me saying Mooi! Mooi! Mooi! You sure taste good, no lie! And you look so damn fine! Not just 1 or 2 but a tasty trio of gorgeous gems in glassware. Usually I do a twosome but I couldn't pass up on this threesome! Just read these flavors of frolicking fun! Honey scotch, black sesame and snow brew topped with Injeolmi all in latte form! Oh Yeah! This wasn't going to be like the story of Goldilocks because I'm telling you all the drinks were on point and none of them were just right, they were all just right! And I'm one for ceramic mugs and glassware with that cute eye pleasing presentation and luckily for me I was able to score on that along with attentive customer service from start to finish. Now that's what I take as a positive experience. This sweet little coffee spot is located on the second floor corner inside of the City Center on sixth street with a parking garage for your convenience. A little fun fact before I go just in case you didn't already know, Injeolmi is flour made from finely ground roasted soybeans that is a very unique treat in Korea. And that's my take on this, Peace out.

Such a neat concept and twist on lattes. Of course I had to try their sesame seed latte and it delivered. Not too sweet and just the right amount of flavor. Service was super sweet. I felt like she could have been my aunt when she was taking my order.
