Wonderful cafe for breakfast or hand brewed coffee. The granola was fresh and homemade. Plus the staff is friendly but non intrusive, just like we Finns like it. Coming here again tomorrow.

Google
Easily one of my favorite Paris cafes. Everything on the menu is really good and is made fresh on the spot. The toasts, the granola and the coffee are all equally excellent. Weekends may be a little bit busy in the morning/noon, but usually you can find a place relatively quickly in this little cafe.

Google
Exquisite little coffee shop. Good quality products. Freshly ground coffee, excellent bread used for toasts and sandwiches. And the shop is held by a nice team, who make you feel welcome.

3.75 Stars. This café is cozy with some interesting food options. I ordered the "Lost in Cheeseland," which has two kinds of cheese with chili jam spread on grilled toast. It felt like the ingredients needed something else so I asked to have avocados included in it. It was delicious. My husband had the open-faced avocado toast with pomegranate on top, and he said it was good. But I could tell he wanted it to be something more, so I shared my sandwich with him. We sought out this place based on Yelp reviews. Now having eaten here, I would go back only if I happen to be in the neighborhood.

Google
Small cozy place. Yummy breakfast and great service, will come back next visit to Paris.

Google
Love love love this place. We had such a good experience we made sure to come back one more time before we left Paris. We had lattes, espresso, pourover, and several breakfast items. All very delicious. Definitely recommend this if you love great coffee as well as enjoy it in a quaint ambiance.

Google
Cafeé Oberkampf exceeded completely my expectations. The menu offers an original and assorted selection of dishes. We ordered an avocado toast with a boiled egg and a salty granola. The quality and freshness of the ingredients was remarkable. I had never tried salty granola before and I found it to be a very delicious surprise. Finally, the coffee was incredible and the staff very friendly. They don’t use plastic straws which is always a plus!

Google
Lovely place for brunch with friendly staff, but v popular and small so pick your time wisely or be prepared to wait a little. Get the "Lost in Cheeseland" toasted sandwich made with 3 types of cheese (then make yourself feel a little saintlier with a side serving of avocado).

Yelp
This small cafe is located in the hip area of Oberkampf so if you're in the area and looking for a hipster fix of avo on toast make sure to stop here. The place is small and all the tables were taken when we arrived so we had to wait for 20 minutes. However, the atmosphere was serene and relaxed and the staff were friendly and attentive. I ordered the halloumi and hummus toast with a side portion of avocado and an americano. The portion was good and the food was tasty. They didn't skimp on hummus and the bread was toasted to perfection!

Jacklyn K.

Yelp
We loved breakfast at this hip little cafe. Great fresh orange juice and quality coffee. I really enjoyed my salad and the banana bread was a perfect sweet treat! Would definitely recommend for a drink or a bite.

Ryan S.

Yelp
Quality of food was insulting and they forgot half of the order. Expect to feel like you've been taken advantage of with $ to quality ratio. Extremely disappointed.

Rochelle Q.

Yelp
Such a cute tiny cafe! They have a nice cozy hipster vibe. They have signs that say they don't want people to bring their laptops which was fine for me since we wanted breakfast. This was one of the few cafes we checked out that made a latte(steamed milk + espresso shot)! Food was really yummy. If we ever fly back to Paris, we might check this place out again

Yelp
Nice little cafe. Food was good quality but 5 Euros for a minuscule hot chocolate and another 5 for 3 slices of country bread with tiny amount of butter and jam... Come on, this is not even an expensive part of Paris so prices are just too high. They probably get a lot of their customers from reviews as seen on Vogue.

Chloe K.

Yelp
Wonderful cafe for breakfast or hand brewed coffee. Excellent bread used for tartines. Seating is limited so expect a wait but it was well worth it. Plus the staff is friendly but non intrusive.

Rebecca T.

Yelp
I didn't come for brunch (as the cafe is famous for), but I did get a dirty chai latte, which was well-spiced and surprisingly strong. Atmosphere was calm, with a young and friendly staff. A pleasant place to go for a cup of joe by yourself or with people for brunch on the weekend.

Yelp
This was my second time here and at first I was disappointed because Shashuka wasn't on the menu... but I had the pleasure of trying something new. It didn't disappoint! The ingredients are always so fresh and you can see them prepare everything right in front of your eyes (well, nearly). There isn't a kitchen and it's quaint and small inside. But if you're lucky enough to snag a table, I recommend trying here once. In my opinion it's not overpriced but then again I live in Geneva where everything is overpriced. Visiting my old home city (Paris) makes life affordable again lol. Coffee is good, fresh baked items are good, food is good... catch my drift? Looking forward to coming back again, perhaps it'll be to try something new :)

Yelp
I had a latte 4,2€ and a "not so" Lost In Cheeseland cheesesteak sandwich 8:45€. I love coffeeshops and one of my favorite thing is to try a new one wherever I am. The concept, the decor and the staff was very cool! But I wasn't happy with the sandwich. Two thick slice of already burned bread with a few thin slices of gouda and edam cheese wasn't satisfying. The saddest part is how can a toast like this cost 8,45€ ?????? It worth 2,50 on my opinion. Toast also had too much of a chili jam, what made it taste very sweet and override all the taste of cheese. To sum it up, everything is great except the food was only ok and it is way overpriced.

Yelp
Cute little spot for a light breakfast. The staff was very friendly and the food was delicious. It was the perfect size portions that leave you feeling satisfied and not too full.

Yelp
Cool hip coffee shop. We came for a coffee and a light breakfast and were not disappointed. Keep in mind that it is a pretty tiny shop so don't come in a huge group and I bet on the weekend it can be quite the wait. We got two toasts and the flavors were delicious. I got the hummus one and would highly recommend. Just a heads up there are no egg or meat dishes so don't come here looking for that. Coffee was on point as well we had a latte and it was delicious. Light breakfast and hip coffee shop!

Yelp
Lovely place and even lovelier staff! I had the avocado toast which was awesome. It had pomegranate seeds and pistachios on it and was delightfully plated.

Yelp
As a coffee fanatic, I've tried a ton of coffee shops in north america and europe. I've tried about 25 in Paris. This is my favorite coffee shop in Paris. They get new coffee every couple weeks so the taste is constantly evolving, love it. The employees here are so friendly and welcoming, and the owner Guy is always so kind and remembers my boyfriend & I, kudos to him. I always get the Avocado toast, it's the best I've ever had. and my boyfriend always gets the tuna toast, which he says is very good. The coffee shop is a bit small so make sure you get there early so you don't have to wait outside!

Luis A.

Yelp
The Sunday brunch was on point. We felt the menu was just a tad overpriced but, still very satisfied with the food we ordered.

David Yair M.

Yelp
Not for groups. Consisted going there with friends on Sunday morning but no chance. Basically it sits around 16 altogether. Ended up putting our name (only two) on the waiting list. Within 20 min got in. Ordered the dirty Chai, cheese sandwich and avocado sandwich. All were delicious and got them quickly. In short, I would give it 3.5. Good food, great Chai, a bit pricey and not worth a long wait. So if in the area and short line - go for it.

Ambar M.

Yelp
Beautiful small and cozy Parisian cafe. Vegetarian sandwich and avocado toast were amazing. Best cappuccino I had in Paris. Banana bread and chocolate chip cookie are must haves. Service and staff were amazing. Be prepared to wait as it is a small cafe with about 4 tables and counter space. Absolutely worth the trip. Well done!

Dina A.

Yelp
Super friendly and fast service. Food is light but delicious (not greasy). The coffee is on point. However, its such a shame that one is not allowed to use the laptop for work on weekends due to the amount of people waiting for a place.

Sarah R.

Yelp
Friendly customer service and the shakshuka is delicious, hearty, and perfect to warm you up on a cold Parisian day. For Americans the grilled cheese isn't anything too special, so order the shakshuka

Meg G.

Yelp
Adorable café between metros Oberkampf and Parmentier. Super tiny but full of charm and smiles. Their banana bread toasted was life changing. Lovely place for a catch up lunch or coffee in the afternoon with a dear friend, just not great for groups. Cozy as can be. Positive final note, they open at 8:30, so 9-5 peeps can go before work for a catch up (one of my top favorite things lately cos there are only a handful of places that open early!)

Sandee T.

Yelp
Tiny cafe and the food was ok. The cafe is bright and on the spartan side with a couple of barstool seating by each of the picture windows, along with four tables in the main area. The two end tables seat 3 people and the two center ones can be configured into 2 two seaters or a combined table for 4. Whew. When we came in, one guy was sitting at the first table (for 3 people) and the end table was occupied by two. Still with me? :) We were a party of three so we naturally took the only two center tables available and proceeded to put them together only to be jumped on by the owner who told us we couldn't do so. Hmm. I get it, but if space was such a concern, one should plan ahead and make use of all the space and have the other patrons sit accordingly. Right? The table we sat in was awkward and tight especially when occupied by cutting boards (that are used to plate the dishes), coffee cups, water carafe/glasses, and orange juice drinks. It was particularly annoying since the one guy occupying the three seater was sprawled out with his laptop and espresso the entire time we were there. A window seat or one of the inner tables for two should have been his. Good customer service would have been to make efficient use of the space while making sure that current patrons are comfortable. Now the food. The portions were good but the cheese sandwich, after all the review hype was a disappointment. The presentation on the said cutting board added to the anticipation and disappointment since it lacked in flavor. The banana bread was fresh but it was also just ok. The best thing we ordered was the fresh orange juice. Other than the initial encounter with the owner, service was professional, but a little more warmth couldn't hurt.

Yelp
Really nice place. Small but cosy. However the bad point is it is really noisy each time someone order coffee as the coffee machine is hugely noisy. Careful if you just woke up.

Jennifer N.

Yelp
My husband and I went out of our way to get to this place. Took the subway from Nation station and it was well worth it. Cute neighborhood with cute little cafe everywhere. I'm always about the atmosphere! The food was delicious, liked the atmosphere and the coffee. Once served it was super picturesque too. Just the little things that makes me happy:-) We shared a granola (w yoghurt), I had a grilled cheese (not its official name) and a vanilla latte and my husband had a hallumi tartine, an open sandwich w cheese, tomato & hummus. Free fast wifi and they spoke English.

Yelp
Great little cafe. Quite a large coffee selection and I was happy that they carried Guatemalan coffee, as it is my favourite, and almost impossible to find in Paris. I say almost because I found it here. The food was wonderful. I love the variety of flavours available on the menu. I find it difficult to locate something familiar in Paris as someone who lives in a very multicultural city (Toronto), so finding a menu with food that I knew what to expect was really comforting. I ordered the couscous salad with mint, pomegranate and almonds. It was really refreshing, light, and tasty. There is a nice combo menu available for 11.5 EUR, where you can get a sandwich and small salad. If you're a meat eater, the chicken sandwich looked very fresh and delicious. This combo menu is a very good value and allows you a main and a side. I also had the iced tea, which was tangerine and ginger, sweetened with maple syrup. It was quite nice and the maple syrup brought out the ginger flavours even more. Really refeshing, perfect for a sunny stroll. And lastly I enjoyed the cold brew latte which was stronger than your typical latte but if you like your coffee strong, then this is also a really nice cool beverage. The staff are really nice, and the main guy was really nice and helpful in what to order and explained what the types of coffee they had, where they came from, etc. Overall I had a great experience. The only flaw is that the space is tiny tiny tiny. I was lucky to only have to wait 10 minutes or so for a table, but I hope they open up a bigger location because the kind of food and atmosphere there was really nice, and I think they'll do really well in a bigger space.

Destinee S.

Yelp
Such a sweet little cafe. A lot of American bloggers and foodies in my experience. The food was really good. The lattes declines and the service amazing. The missing star is because it is impossible to find. I walked passed it 3 times, only found it because I looked into the window and spotted a menu. Lol.

Frances E.

Yelp
My favourite café in Paris! I have explored others but keep coming back here because I love it so much. Antipodean style breakfasts (they even serve vegemite!), beautiful presentation, cool & crisp atmosphere, delicious coffee and lovely, attentive staff. Good prices too. Couldn't recommend higher!

Anne C.

Yelp
Café Oberkampf was my favorite place to grab brunch or coffee during my semester here in Paris. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the food is consistently good. The shakshuka is definitely insta-worthy (no judgements), and I was glad to find a good dirty Chai in Paris.

Francesca G.

Yelp
I was conflicted about giving 3 or 4 stars (3.5 would be perfect I think), based on two experiences here. My first brunch at Cafe Oberkampf was really great- it was my first time trying shakshuka, and although we had to wait for ages for a table (the cafe is super tiny), it was definitely worth the wait. I came back again for brunch with my boyfriend, and we shared a 2 egg shakshuka with feta, a Lost in Cheeseland sandwich (3 cheese sandwich with chilli jam), and one of their toasted banana breads. The sandwich was great, super cheesy and the jam was good. It was actually the shakshuka that I was disappointed with. We were served completely hard eggs, which I don't think is ok. The first time I had this dish, I was served really runny eggs and was told that if you want them to cook more, you leave them for a few minutes, or if you break the yolks then they stay runny, so was expecting the same deal this time. We were instead given eggs with rock hard yolks. The dish itself is really tasty, but would be 100x better with runny eggs (unless you're into hard eggs, of course). The banana bread wasn't to my taste, but my boyfriend loved it (too banana-y, not bread-y enough for me) and he convinced me it was worthy of 4 stars. For 2 dishes, 1 shared dessert, and 2 coffees we paid around 35 euros.

Yelp
Good food, good coffee, good people, good wi-fi. I could not, and I could not ask for more. This might be US-style, I am not really sure but it is definitely something I am used to here and felt right at home.

Caroline G.

Yelp
Expect exactly a three star cafe. Coffee is good, interior is nicely designed and clean, with mediocre food. Everything on the menu consists of bread, egg, cheese, and red sauce. Very straight forward process- order at the register and they bring you your order. We ordered the chook and the cheese sandwich. Both were dry and could use some greens or lube of some sort. Chocolate chip cookie was good at least!

Mai Linh N.

Yelp
An International crowd with great atmosphere. The coffee is the best I've had in Paris and I drink quite a bit of espresso. Drink your coffee on site sit down and enjoy it. I went to this cafe every day or two times a day for 2 months. I never tire of the barista, owner, or customers. This space has great energy and deserves every one of its five stars. Hard to replicate such a fantastic place anywhere.

Jamie C.

Yelp
Place is sweet! Offering up good dishes! The coffee did wow me! Just came here from Italy and the coffee I have had upon arrival has not been comparable at all! The staff was very accommodating! Play list was well rounded putting me in a better mood with each sip of my coffee. Free WIFI offered! Green egg skillet looked awesome on next table. Sandwiches did as well. As for us we decided to go somewhat light and had granola fromage blanc and banana bread! Both satisfying! Banana bread was wholesome and not too dense just the way I like it! I will return as this was a positive experience for me.

Dragana B.

Yelp
An Aussie-style cafe in Paris! Mon Dieu! I had a lovely little piccolo, with perfectly steamed milk and mellow espresso. I noticed the espresso was Ethiopian and was worried it would be too bright but it ended up being perfect. Tres bien! The space is small but cute and the staff is very nice. I came in while the kitchen was closed but the menu was enticing! Definitely recommend dropping in if you're in the area ... or making the trek from Bastille if you're me (or you'd like to be like me. or you think coffee is cool.)

Wade D.

Yelp
Very good Shakshuka, service is fast and friendly. What more could you want? The place is extremely small but comfortable, not like some Parisian restaurants that stack you in like firewood. My wife and I enjoyed everything. Even the coffee was above average and that says a lot for Paris.

B B.

Yelp
One of our favorite places to stop in Paris. It is generally a ways from where we typically stay; nonetheless, we always make the trip and enjoy there delicious, yet simple menu items. The interior is well done--very inviting. Take a seat at the window, looking out and enjoy the experience!

Michael Z.

Yelp
This spot is a great place to go for something a little different in Paris. The Shakshuka is very good and looks gorgeous, and the toasted bread served with it is excellent (do you expect anything less in this city?). It's a bit expensive and the coffee isn't all that noteworthy, but Café Oberkampf serves the kind of food that is hard to find in Paris.

Kristen L.

Yelp
We ate here after seeing Café Oberkampf featured on one of David Lebovitz's Facebook Video Posts. I had my first shakshuka and it was delicious. My daughter would have kept ordering the banana bread (she had to be stopped after two because the café was closing!) - it was that good...toasted and served with salted butter...mmm. Everything we ate was yummy and the café is cozy and bright. I am still dreaming of the Lost in Cheeseland sandwiches.
