I rarely leave one-star reviews, but my experience here was disappointing and uncomfortable. I came in with friends after finals and ordered a chai latte, and mocha for my friend, assuming the Chai latte would be hot( I apologize for my assumption). The server was tall, white, skinny and i think curly blonde hair guy. I did not ask or mention an iced drink. When the chai latte came out cold, with ice, with the mocha order, I politely apologized and asked if it could be warmed or corrected.
I told this to a different server and the server who took my order came back to my table and insisted, multiple times—that I had said “iced,” even though I did not. He stood there confronting me for a while and then told me that if it happened again, I would have to pay for another drink. I was completely caught off guard and felt embarrassed and uncomfortable, all I could say was "sorry". I couldn't utter any other word. I was surprised because I had already apologized and was being respectful.
Mistakes happen, and I understand miscommunications, but the way this situation was handled lacked basic courtesy and professionalism. A simple correction or calm explanation would have been enough. Unfortunately, the interaction left me feeling very upset, and it overshadowed the entire visit. Because of this experience, we won’t be returning not because of the restaurant but because of that server.
