The squid toast and oysters were delicious! The veg starter was way too spicy ! The cocktails were nice but I think the prices are too high for the what is served. The service was weird and waiters kept talking and giggling to each other. Then new waiters were asking the same question again and again disturbing us mid- conversation. Average experience and will not visit again.

Impressive food with focus on charcoal grill Umami taste. We don’t eat meat but we’re happy with a few veggie options that were great! Composition, quality and presentation are a plus. Very nice location for dinner on your last night in Amsterdam or a special occasion. (Only inside seating though, few tables outside for an aperitivo max)

Beautiful terrace only issue is you keep hearing the sounds of the cleaning of the ten Kate market which can be super annoying. The food was great we had the sea food platter which was awesome. It had prawns muscles lobster and more. We recommend the buratta as well. The fish was so so and I wouldn't personally order it again. Overall great food and service. I bet the ambiance is better inside during the winter time.

Super nice place for drinks! If you are a young crowd or want to party and enjoy i would recommend this place very mush. Drinks are super good and they have all the classicals. Also you can come here with big groups. Food wise the starters are super good and very tasteful. I ordered the T Bone and I have to say it was not that mush meat on it and that was quite disappointing and the béarnaise sauce was to fatty for me. But the meat tasted really good.

Café Panache is a cool spot in Amsterdam’s Oud West. Awesome vibes, tasty dishes. It’s the kind of place you’ll want to come back to. Definitely worth checking out!

Just a good spot for dinner. Nothing special, but you won’t be disappointed. Fish is really good here. Looking for a good night, then this is the place.

Friendly staff and great ambiance. Food options are limited for dinner. However the kitchen culinary team seems strong. The bar and cocktails are nice. Better to reserve your table during weekends.

The starter, main dish and sides were very tasty. Service staff was friendly and fast. The main concerns about the experience were the long time it took for the food to be served after ordered and the fact that it’s really loud in there. But overall a pleasant experience. The price follows Amsterdam standards for the quality you get.

My husband and I happened to stumble upon this place on our recent trip to Amsterdam and went in because we know of a restaurant in the states that goes by the same name. It has a lovely ambiance and gives off a romantic urban vibe. I really enjoyed the atmosphere. I ordered a salad with prawns which was delicious and my husband ordered a steak which he enjoyed as well. Very tasty and great service, highly recommend!

An eclectic cafe situated in a former market storage, at least this is how they present us in the menu. I say a very unexpected posh place, attractive interior, attractive staff, party atmosphere, elegant exterior. I was in my way to Food Hallen buuut saw this place first and I couldn't be more happy with my choice. We were sited a table already reserved from a later hour but being told we have 1,5h to enjoy, that wasn't a problem. The menu was explained by our nice waiter and the options were leaning towards shared food. They also had a 3 course menu for 32 eur, that's quite a deal I say :) We chose a grill made dorada, with fancy sides. The fish was for two persons and it was brought and opened in our face, also open up and nicely arranged on a plate without the bones. Elegant :) Actually the waiter wasn't satisfied with the how the fish was cooked and he apologized but he went to ask for another, even though I was hungry I appreciated the interest for delivering the best quality. Alcohol wise they have a variety of 10 eur cocktails to choose from, I even got a personalized one. All in all, this is a very nice place to go out. I like the bar vibes in it

The food here was pretty good. The steak and fish that were served family style for our large group was well cooked. The drinks were also pretty well balanced. This restaurant is a little out of the way but nothing is too far in Amsterdam so it's a short uber ride.

I celebrated a special occasion at Cafe Panache a few days ago and it was really nice. Our server was attentive and explained the menu well, and even made a couple of recommendations. I started the evening with a ginger mojito which was good though a bit too sour for my tastes. I skipped appetizers and ordered the Spatchcock Rooster for my entree. I also ordered a side fries and their green salad. The rooster main dish was delicious! It was juicy and full of flavor. The fries were fine, but the salad tasted better than I would have imagined for a simple green salad. I'm not sure what they put on it, but it was very good overall. The only low points of the meal was the previously mentioned issues with the mojito and the seats are somewhat uncomfortable. I thought it was just me, but others in my party also made this complaint. All that aside, I'd defitely go to this spot again, and likely will since it's near my job.

Came here with a group of 10 for dinner and drinks. I'll start with the positives: the vibe inside is very good, good music, and their French fries are very good. Now to the negatives: we were given the sharing menu because with a table of more than 7, you can only get the sharing menu. Don't agree with it, but fine. However, then they brought us the main course without sharing plates. It took them 10 minutes and 3 requests to bring us plates... The food itself was very mediocre. The steak was a little tough to eat, the ceviche was very fishy tasting, and the salad was literally iceburg lettuce with a splash of vinaigrette. All in all, I would recommend this place for a drink with a good vibe, but not for a meal.

I was here for oysters. And these were outstanding - fresh with a good vinegar aside. They have three kinds of oysters: Dutch, French and Irish ones. I especially recommend the Irish oysters as they were slightly larger than the rest (oh yes, I tried them all) and fleshy. Mmm. I guess it's already obvious that I love oysters. If you love them too, this is a good place to be. The table service was friendly and casual, he was very helpful with explaining the different oysters and the wine menu. On the other (negative) side of the scale I would mention the area, which is quite noisy a bit dirty and not the most romantic scenery to enjoy oysters.

It was a dark day. Trump had just won the election. My friend and I decided to commiserate over dinner at Café Panache. We figured a good meal and several (read: A LOT) of drinks would do us some good. Drinks were excellent and timely. G&Ts to elderflower-infused sparkling wine, they just kept coming. Needless to say, we had a pleasant buzz before we even started the meal. For dinner, I opted for the deviled eggs, entrecote, and creme brulee. Deviled eggs were nice and creamy, a slight spicy/tang to the yolks. After our starters, there was more than an hour-long wait for our main course. We'd check in every now and then with our server. And then he went MIA for nearly half an hour. Another server came by, apologizing profusely for the shift change. She got our orders back on track, right as we were nearing the hangry zone. Entrecote arrived after nearly 1.5 hours. Thankfully, we still had our drinks to keep us company. Unfortunately, they overcooked it a tad. I prefer to eat steaks medium rare; it was clearly medium, lacking the usual lovely pink gradient. Due to the delay and order mixups, the restaurant kindly comped our dessert. While the service can be a bit half-hazard, the staff are friendly. The excellent drinks also help with the wait times.

I don't know if it's a Amsterdam thing or just me, but it took awhile to get serviced. When serviced, great! Good food, great ambiance. Make sure to try their signature cocktails. A lot of good beer in Amsterdam, but really good cocktails. My hotel was near Food Hallen and I was look for a nice sit down in walking distance. If you just want to enjoy a nice dinner and escape the tourist traps, come have a meal here.

A local recommended this place to my friend and I and it was one of the best restaurants on the trip that had spanned across Paris-Brussels-Amsterdam. Amazing drinks! My friend got the Pornstar Martini while I tried the watermelon martini and we agreed that their drinks were really well done. Also had the espresso martini as dessert and also very good. Atmosphere was vibrant and food was pretty good. The ceviche was just decent and I was not wowed by my seabass catch of the day entree. However, my friend raved about his "spatchcock rooster" entree so perhaps they're just better with non-seafood dishes. Overall great place that I'm definitely up to visiting again if I'm ever in Amsterdam next. If nothing else going back there for drinks!!

Parties seven and more are required to order from a shared menu, but don't worry, you won't be disappointed! The food here is phenomenal. The service is friendly and attentive. Love, love, love this place.

This had been the best dinner of our whole trip! Spanish tapas restaurant with dishes that are easy for sharing or eating on your own. We started with the sangria which was made with peach vodka, adding a sweeter flavor that complemented the red wine. Then we ordered 5 dishes to share amongst the 5 of us. My sister is gluten free and pescatarian but there were plenty of things for us all to enjoy. We ordered the ceviche which was cutely wrapped in a cucumber with caviar on top. The ceviche was tasty and not too acidic or chewy. The portion was small, but we all got a taste. We had the soft shell crab salad. The richness of the fried crabs were balanced out by the acid in the dressing. Would totally recommend this dish! Then we got the fish of the day which was a tender and flavorful red snapper. The leek dish was next with some hummus. Then finally, the French fries. Sounds so simple, but I swear to you, they were the best French fries I've ever had! Crispy without having too much breading. Thick cut but perfectly cooked all the way through. And whatever sauce they came with was amazing! This place was so delicious! I love their menu and their staff and their food! Atmosphere is trendy (dark, loud, weird light fixtures) but I can get past all that to eat those fries again!

Great ambiance, good food, service is not attentive. A little overpriced, but worth. The Dorade in Salt Crust was very well prepared and very juicy.

Great food and atmosphere! Service has been very slow the few times I visited though. Book a table in advance, and make sure you are not seated at one of the high tables; The chairs are extremely uncomfortable.

Don't even know why this place was recommended to us other than it was busy and there was a good vibe. The steak was tough and not a good piece of meat, chicken was hard to eat because the bones, but it did have good flavor and the fries were pretty good. Other than that nothing to appealing or healthy on the menu.

I came to Cafe Panache for one reason, to buy cocktails by the pitcher. I was not disappointed! There were about 7 types on offer, all of which sounded lovely. We went with the peach sangria. It was 4 very generous cups (for 30€, a bargain in a city where cocktails are 12€ a glass!) and tasted delicious. I'll be back to try the others! We sat outside because it was a pretty night, but the interior was most attractive. The food being served around us was appealing too. Perhaps next time I'll put a fork to use and not just my liver....

Nice ambiance and very good quality food. This restaurant found us at an unexpected location in oud west. Definitely recommend their sangria with peach liquor.

Tremendous meal. Deviled eggs were great. Octopus had amazing flavor. The cote de boeuf was seriously the best steak I have ever had in Europe. After traveling to Europe for 25 years, this was without a doubt the best steak ever. With excellent food and great service, it made for a five star dining experience.
