Cafe Panchita

Went here to catch up with friends. Lovely atmosphere, you can dine either inside but we chose the patio. Their patio was closed off with the heater running in the middle so it wasn’t cold at all! Our server was very kind and she made sure we were accommodated in a timely manner. I got the Huevos Rotos and a Mocha (not pictured) as my order and it tasted really freaking good lol. Definitely recommend this spot to those that want a quiet atmosphere to chat and have good food to accompany with it.

We ordered takeout, including figs and mascarpone ($14) and truffle mushroom toast($16). For these prices, the portions and ingredients were extremely minimal - literally just a couple of components in each dish, which feels completely unjustified. The place was almost empty (only one table occupied) and there were two staff members working, yet we still had to wait at least 15 minutes for a simple takeout order. What was more concerning was the lack of attention to basic food-handling standards. Seeing a kitchen staff member without gloves, wearing an earbud, and without any hair covering didn’t inspire much confidence. As for the food itself, it was extremely basic - you name it. The “truffle mushroom toast” was nothing more than slightly burnt bread soaked in oil with some mushrooms therein. And some slice of cheddar with scattered pieces of jalapeño I guess. That’s it. No balance, no flavor, no effort. Overall, extremely overpriced, poorly executed, and very disappointing.

As Spaniards, my wife and I were actively looking for a Spanish breakfast restaurant as there aren't too many in the area nor serving breakfast, then we came across this place and decided to give it a try. What a wonderful choice, we were seated quickly and attended by the lady very professionally, the food was beyond amazing, fresh and homemade, very tasty and decently priced. The downside here was the patio, not being a reason to change my score since it's a minor defect in my opinion, the patio indeed was covered by a plastic tarp with no ventilation and giving a greenhouse effect making it very hot and unpleasant

Good vibes! The service is so good not to mention the delicious food the scotch eggs are so good. Good spot for a date and hanging out with friends!

Blink and you miss it kind of place, with excellent food and service. I didn't even know what divorciados del turco is, but now I'm a big fan because the sauces were delightful and the eggs were velvety. I will return, even though my one issue is the lack of accessibility. Maybe just install a handrail?

We visited Cafe Panchita for brunch. Small intimate restaurant with an outdoor covered patio in the summer. Service was a bit slow and they do not serve alcohol. We enjoyed our brunch and the bread was the best part! Nice for a relaxing brunch with a Spanish flare.

Awesome atmosphere and overall customer service and solid food options. The parking situation is extremely problematic because you have to find street parking and also cross a busy Lakeshore street with traffic going both ways. If you have to walk to the street corner, it will take you another five minutes with the traffic lights. Lastly, this establishment is not wheelchair accessible unfortunately and not necessarily easily accessible for seniors with canes or walkers due to the stairs.

We ordered the figs, chicken and waffle, scotch eggs. Everything is amazing, and also the service. Will def come again.
