Penny Lane is a cozy café in Aalborg Centrum with nice decor and a good selection of drinks and food. The place has a welcoming vibe that makes you want to stay a while. I tried their luksus brunch plate and you get a lot for your money. The plate came with different breads, butter, eggs, brownie, sausages, charcuterie, green pesto, and yogurt with granola. Everything was fresh and tasty. Nothing was outstanding, but everything was solid and satisfying. The brownie added a sweet element that worked perfectly - definitely the best of my plate. Service was very good and the atmosphere is relaxed. It's the kind of place where you can have a proper brunch without any fuss. Good choice if you're looking for a kaffee spot in the city center. The variety on the luksus plate makes it worth trying, especially if you like having options on your plate. Personally, I would not repeat it since I could see other options that look much more appealing to me. I recommend the place.

Gorgeous selection of baked goods and delicious cakes. The coffee was very good too. A fun bonus for children, and for adults with a penchant for cute things, is the large selection of Maileg toys. The space is very charming too, with an eclectic mix of old furniture.

The staff is absolutely friendly. Everyone smiled and was very helpful about the gluten free options. I took 2 little cakes with passion fruit (they were also vegan). IT WAS DELICIOUS ❤️

I looovvveee this place I literally came to Denmark for few hours and I was googling what a good spot to eat breakfast and found it and came and I am so grateful I did that! We ordered the egg with sourdough I thought I would get a sandwich but instead we got a really good plate! Super filling and delicious lemonade with strawberry 🍓 My sister loves their coffee too! My nephews loved their food as well. The place is so cozy and I loved the decorative look so creative.

So. Penny Lane it’s one of my favourite places in Aalborg, I’m even wearing toy rabbit on my bag 🤣 so sweet🥰 but today I got really disappointed. I came in 16:18, ask in the bar if I can have a seat, I was alone and wanted to have some lunch before my shift (I also work in restaurant). Girl on the bar gave me menu and said I can check if there is available spots. I found one table, set down and straight waiter came to me, I said that I need 1 min to check menu, she said okay, meanwhile one table next to me left and I went to this table, straight after waiter came back to take order. I ordered one sandwich and coffee, she took order, left and came back in 2 mins and said: sorry kitchen closed 6 mins ago (16:36 it was). Then I asked why no one told me this when I came, when I set down, when first time waiter tried to take order from me, and then second time when she actually took the order. I spend time and still can’t eat, I could go to another place if I would know, because it was really important for me to eat before my shift. And her answer just killed me. She said: “I said sorry already no? If you want you can go”. What? That is how you treat and appreciate your customers? She didn’t even propose me to have at least my coffee and something sweet from the bar, I still could eat some cake or croissants or whatever, but instead of making customer comfy when it was actually her mistake, cos she took my order knowing that kitchen closed. And then she just said me that I can leave then 😂😂😂 wow no words. Unfortunately I didn’t ask her name. Because she is first and only in this place who made me feel this way and acted so rude and unprofessional. It makes me now question myself if I want to come again..

Very friendly staff and the atmosphere in the store is very nice. They have big variety in plates. I recommend the waffle with caramel and berries. Also, the bread is delicious.

This place is very beautiful, and serves delicious food. They have a bakery with a great selection of goodies, including cakes. The indoor space is divided into several rooms, and is very cozy and spacious. There is even some outdoor seating. The interior design inside is very creative, and you can even purchase most of the items. A gem in the heart of Aalborg!

A great place for brunch! The menu offers a wide selection of dishes, coffee and teas, and the prices are reasonable. I had the open sandwich which was huge and delicious. Friendly service and they have menus in English, which is a bonus. UPDATE: went again after five years and it's still as impressive! Delicious food, a wide variety of dishes and friendly people.

Yelp
Super hyggeligt café with eclectic and insta worthy photo opportunities. I came with a friend and we ordered the Hole in One tea. One pot was enough for two of us. And the longer the tea steeped, the tastier it got! I wish I bought some to take home. It's got a light licorice flavor with some fruity notes and a dry sweet finish. We shared a berry tart and hvede bun. Both were super fresh and delicious. The hvede is just a boring looking bun but it's got a hint of cardamom and paired with their organic butter? Divine. Their berry tart was perfect. The cream was fresh, light, and not too sweet. We sat in comfy chairs and lounged in the sunlight for awhile. If I lived here, this would be my goto spot.

Yelp
I've been travelling in Scandinavia for the past three months and this was, hands down, one of the best meals I've had thus far. I had the regular brunch plate that was filled with fresh ingredients such as cheeses, prosciutto, and a lovely salad. The Salmon mousse was absolutely delicious I wish I could've had a whole plate of it. The staff was absolutely amazing and were so helpful with helping us plan our day in Aalborg. The restaurant was so cute and cozy and was simply the best way to start our Sunday. Would HIGHLY recommend

Yelp
First time in Aalborg with my girlfriend and the kiddo, we had literally no idea where to eat breakfast. Luckily other people had already tried various places, and reported back to the interwebz. So we tried Penny Lane, which turned out to be a fairly sizable part bakery part cafe. Their brunch was large and consisted of a lot of delicious tapas style arrangements. Not as much a typical brunch platter as it was exotic and - I think I'm right in saying - homemade things like hummus and pesto and bread and cheese and other goodies. The bakery and tea house section was a sight to behold with multicolored pastries to soothe even the most demanding sweet tooth. The kid had a big lollipop. It scored high on the yes-o-meter. The decor was very 'auntie' if that makes sense. Coarse but never ugly or bulky. It was pleasant and the atmosphere tickled our fancies.

Yelp
I love this place! Cozy atmosphere and the food is delicious. I like that it is opening early, and you can god get breakfast with friends before work. I tried their brunch, which i really like, but also a quick breakfast. Their pastry is really good, and there is something for every taste.
