Our mistake was that we didn’t check the reviews upfront. The food was just okay, the lobster was actually a langustine and the only reason why we give 2 instead of 1 star, is because the flamed caramel banana was actually quite tasty. Then there were people/ customers there with music loudspeakers, they were not asked to switch off the music. We would not go again

Ordered the chicken spring roll as appetiser. It came out so quick, there is no way it was freshly made. Batter was luke warm at best and filling was not warm at all, and incredibly oily. Sent it back and another came out which again, was not freshly made. This also went back. At this point I had given in on the appetiser. When I say freshly made, I mean made to order. These are clearly ‘reheated to order’. Main course of chicken fried rice and a side of curry sauce came out quickly also. This again was oily and I really couldn’t stomach it to be honest. On departure I explained to the cashier at the counter (who I guess was the proprietor) that I was not prepared to pay for the spring roll. He scolded his staff member in front of me for not telling him there was an issue with the food. Fair enough, but don’t embarrass the guy in front of me and other customers. I paid the full amount with my card and he gave me the price of the spring roll in cash, which I gave to the young waiter as a tip. I would avoid this place. Wasn’t good at all.

At first looking at the rating of this place on google I was worried the food would be not very good. However the place was packed with a line for takeaway too, so o decided to eat here. The food was delicious the staff were helpful and the ambience was one of a family dinner. All in all good place

I’m reading the earlier reviews just now after visiting the place. We weren’t planning to go there, just saw the place once came to the beach and decided to check it out. I must say the service seems to have significantly improved, as our waiter was polite and we actually got our food quite fast - maybe on 20-35min. The drinks were fine too. As for the dishes itself - just eatable, but definitely far far far from delicious or tasty. It’s just ok if you’re hungry. But it’s not an option if you care about your diet or any personal needs. The exterior - its a failure of course. That kind of location is not an excuse to have the tables and seats in such a poor state! The eating experience must be pleasant 360’ around. Not just avoid looking at the restaurant, enjoy the view. A lot a lot of work to be done here.

The food was just okay, but the portions were quite small. We ordered croquettes and crispy chicken, yet we were served hakien instead, without any prior notice that croquettes were unavailable. When requesting the receipt, we also found incorrect charges, including items like pork that we never ordered and croquettes that we never received. Service was disappointing—we didn’t receive a warm welcome, and we had to call the staff multiple times just to place our orders. Drinks were fair and acceptable. The cleanliness was also an issue; the toilet was dirty, and there were cobwebs in multiple corners. Overall, the dining experience was unsatisfactory due to service issues, incorrect orders, and poor cleanliness. I DON'T RECOMMEND PEOPLE TO GO THERE!!

We had our first dinner on the island here and it was decent. I had the Grilled King Prawns which were very tasty but the shell was soo spikey, I pricked my fingers several times 😊 My husband had deep fried chicken with chips, which was ok. The staff were friendly and they kindly accommodated us although it was really busy and we had no booking. Overall, it was an ok meal and reasonably priced but we didn’t return throughout our stay on the island.

So food is very standard, maybe a little less. The crab soup could have more crab taste, the salad leafs had better days. The croutons at the fried shrimps were just greasy.. But the food came fast and we are not hungry anymore.. I am sorry but I can't recommend it 🤷‍♂️

Clearly overhyped. Not worth the wait. The person at the reception and their attitude was killing the vibe. Just walk a bit far and have amazing thai food at Wang Thai! Thank me later 😊
