Cafe Picobella Trattoria

What a little gem. Rustic looking but i would assume gives you the authentic italian vibe ( I have never been tp Italy yet) the food was really good, i had the lamb Polpetta, cooked in my opinion, to perfection, then i had dessert again very nice, i then ordered 4 pizza take aways for the family with a delicious crispy crust, all in all if this is italian food, then i am looking forward to my trip to Italy in April. Mangiare bene.

This Melville restaurant offers excellent specials in a very romantic setting, with an energetic and vibrant atmosphere. The food is of outstanding quality, beautifully prepared, and served in generous portions. Overall, a wonderful dining experience that I would highly recommend.

Lovely Italian restaurant with nice covered veranda/stoep to sit outside and see the sun set over the Johannesburg hills. The food is always good 👍🏻

Excellent service. Authentic Italian food and feel. Tagliateli was one of the best quality I have had. Seafood pasta simple and plenty seafood. Basil pesto pasta great, rich flavour but a bit too oily for my liking.

I had the pleasure of dining at Picobella Trattoria, and it was truly an exceptional experience. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, making us feel right at home. Each item was bursting with flavor, setting a wonderful tone for the evening. For the main courses, we chose a couple of pasta dishes and pizza , and they did not disappoint! The flavors were authentic and beautifully presented, showcasing the chef’s skill. The service was another highlight of our visit. Our waitress was not only friendly but also incredibly attentive. She made sure to check in on us frequently, asking if we had any additional requests and ensuring we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Overall, the combination of delicious food, excellent service, and a charming atmosphere made for a perfect evening. I can’t recommend Picobella Trattoria enough! Whether you’re looking for a romantic dinner or a night out with friends, this restaurant is a must-visit.

The Sunday lunch specials are reason enough to go and support this Cafe. Great food and overall just such a cute restaurant to enjoy a night with friends or someone special you want to take out.

Cafe Picobella is one of Melville's greatest: Hearty food accompanied with a warm, family atmosphere and lovely customer service. Cafe Picobella's menu has a wide variety of pasta, pizza and antipasto. The food is evidently cooked with great care. Tasty meals with fresh ingredients. Friendly staff and vibe in the restaurant. Perfect for a Sunday lunch or dinner date night.
