Yelp
I've had a few totally fine experiences here but today received completely unacceptable treatment from one of the bartenders/waitresses. Upon ordering a latte, in German, as I usually do, and which is always enough to get my order across at Cafe Puschkin, she replied with some sentences that I was unfamiliar with and quickly. So I replied, in german, to excuse me because I don't speak german and that I didn't understand.
Any reasonably decent human being would have taken literally any other course of action but she, with an unbelievably zazzy attitude, scoffed so loud I could nearly feel the breath coming out of her lipsticked mouth, shoved a latte on the counter (one that was already made--I presume she was making a fresher one for another customer that didn't offend her so maliciously), and didn't make eye contact with me or speak another word. I waited, as I assumed this drink that had been on the counter since I walked in was for another customer, for my latte to be made. A minute or so later, she (again, no eye contact, no words) pushed the drink closer to me and held out her hand for the payment.
I'm not going to lie: I'm getting a little pleasure from this review as it, and my never-coming-back-here, seem to be my only recourse. I don't know how to tell some one to "up yours" in German, or I would have done that maybe instead and not resorted to Yelp.
The latte is decent, if lukewarm.
