We had such a great experience here! Every bite was full of flavour, and every drink was delicious (though I wouldn’t have minded my martini a touch colder). The service was friendly and attentive overall. Shout out to Chloe! There was a bit more of a wait than we’d hoped for between appetizers and mains, but the team was quick to acknowledge it, apologize, and more than made up for it. And wow the banana tiramisu dessert was absolutely worth it! We’ll definitely be back. PS loved happy hour. One of the best in the city!

I love paying 180$ to get food poisoning. I took my girlfriend here for her birthday, it was the first time both of us visited. She was super excited after hearing good things. We split the mussels, both of us don’t know a lot about them and some of them had holes through the shells. Later after we left and looked up some info on mussels we found out that if they have holes in the shells they are likely dead and are a health concern. Both of us ended up violently throwing up around 3am. On top of that the service was also very slow. We could see our waitress eating upstairs and doing cutlery roll ups for the next day, which would be fine if she had actually taken our orders first. We both each got a pasta, I got the Rigatoni which was alright but tbh I’ve had better. My girlfriend got the escargot pasta and she really liked it. We also got some cocktails and drinks. The draught beer came in a smaller cup (9oz) and they didn’t even fill it close to the brim.

Came here for a last-minute, late night bite on a weekday — it was also my first time visiting. After hearing so much hype, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but overall, I was pleasantly impressed. The menu is solid, and I loved their $10 happy hour martini and spritz menu. I tried the espresso martini, and it definitely lived up to the hype. I also had some fun shots (look how cute the glasses were!) and an Aperol spritz, which were both great. For food, I ordered the spicy rigatoni and the crab meat pasta. The crab meat pasta was outstanding — honestly one of the best unique pastas I’ve ever had. I would 100% come back just for that dish alone. The spicy rigatoni wasn’t anything special in my opinion but still good. I’ve also heard their ravioli is a fan favorite, so I’ll definitely be trying that next time. If you’re looking for a cute restaurant with great ambience, good service, and a solid menu, Cafe Renee is absolutely worth a visit!

Every time I’ve come here, it has been a great experience from the service to the atmosphere to the food. Whether people want to admit it or not the raviolis live up to the hype, but the rigatoni is also really good for drinks. You can’t go wrong with their tiramisu espresso martini. I would highly recommend getting reservations ahead of time so you don’t have to wait as they are often busy. parking in this area can also be a little annoying, there is a parking lot lot right across the street, but it’s always $20

Google
aesthetic, cozy and nice place. staff were nice as well. food however, we felt wasn’t that good. portions are smaller than the prices. the pastas felt sweet and really buttery like drowned in butter. the tiramisu was okay, nothing special. only one thing we liked were the cheese sticks with the sauce! delicious.

Google
The food and service was great. I can also see why the Ravioles Du Dauphine is popular and for good reason. It was really good and probably the best pasta here. Happy hour cocktail are $10 martinis and definitely worth it. Would definitely come back.

Google
Might have one of the best Happy Hour deals in the city with their $10 martini menu everyday from 5PM-7PM. On top of that, their food is also worth coming for. We had their steak tartare, mussels and frites, and their Crab Spaghetti with uni cream sauce. Felt the pasta was great value for quality. Solid service here as well. we'll be back for sure.

Went for Sunday brunch and it was delicious. We walked in without a reservation. They sat us at the bar which was comfortable. We ordered the Banana brown butter pain perdu and the Parisian egg benedict. The French toast was very sweet. I recommend both dishes we got. Portion size was great &left there feeling full. I needed a few bites of the egg Benedict halfway through eating the French toast as a palate cleanser because it was so sweet. Bathrooms were spacious however one stall was out of toilet paper.

Yelp
A 4.5/5 but rounded to 5 stars for really good service and efficiency. This viral restaurant is super cute inside and great happy hour menu. I got the espresso martini and it was very well made! Jeremy the bartender/server was friendly and checked up on us frequently. Since I was sitting at the bar, it was easy to communicate as he made drinks infront of us. It was easy to get a reservation on resy when the date resets as well. You could definitely walk in for a table if you came at 5 but around 6 it's really busy. For Starters we got the caesar salad and mozzarella sticks! both were solid picks and great for sharing. And my friend and i got the carbonara and rigatoni pasta. We should've shared one... because one pasta was good enough to share, the portions were huge!!! I didn't really fall in love with the pasta but it had a good flavour. The ambiance is amazing. They have a patio as well! at the front and the back of their restaurant. The restrooms were very cute as well and SUPER CLEAN. I would definitely come back !!

Yelp
Cafe Renee absolutely lived up to the hype!! The ravioli pasta was definitely unreal - it was so rich and flavourful and nothing like I've ever tasted before! The carbonara was also quite good and the mussels were also very good! I definitely suggest everyone gets the ravioli for sure if you come visit Cafe Renee. We sat by the bar and it was surprisingly comfy. The bathrooms are downstairs and were private and super clean and cozy. The restaurant itself is super cozy. All the servers and bartenders are super friendly and fun!

Yelp
There's basically three reasons you would wanna go here. Steak, drinks and maybe the carbonara. Other than those, the food is really gonna disappoint you. At least port wise. I can see it being a cozy date spot though. Intimate vibe and the fancy delicious drink and you'll have a great time. Can't say anything bad about the service. Just know that they probably can't accommodate big parties.

Yelp
3.5 I really enjoyed the dish I got - I got the Ravioles du daphne and thought it was delicious but honestly such a small portion for the price. Their tiramisu was solid, and Pavlova was good too. I didn't like how we weren't able to put our names down on a waitlist as it was walk in only if you didn't have a reservation. It was also very loud in there to the point where you really couldn't hear the person sitting right next to you. Although the inside of the restaurant was cute, it was just too loud.

Yelp
Really great Italian-French cuisine! This spot has a warm but chic ambiance and is a great dinner spot. They don't take many reservations and unfortunately don't do a waitlist so getting a table can be a bit of a wait. They have happy hour even on weekends from 5-7pm which is great. The espresso martini was very tasty. For food we tried the steak tartare, rigatoni alla vodka and the raviolies du dauphiné. The steak tartare was tasty and the fresh made chips were nice and crispy. The rigatoni was very delicious and creamy. The raviolies had a nice filling and the pasta was fresh. The butter sauce was good however ours was drenched in it. Overall a very nice spot with great food and drinks.

Yelp
For dinner, I ordered the steak tartare, ravioli du dauphiné, and crab spaghetti. The steak in the tartare was good but lacked flavour, though the thin, crispy potato chips with their unique crosshatch pattern were a delicious highlight. The ravioli was disappointing, dominated by a strong butter taste, which surprised me given its popularity. The crab spaghetti had a nice flavour, but the pasta was slightly undercooked, and the sauce was too watery. Additionally, I wish the food had arrived hotter and faster, as we waited quite a while for our meals on a Friday at 9 PM. Overall, I expected more based on what I've heard. I also got splashed by the bartenders while they were making drinks since I was sitting at the bar stools for dinner.

Yelp
Great ambiance, service and cocktails! Food was just okay. We started with the ravioli daphauine that was very small. Good flavor but the pictures on here make it seem much bigger. I got the rigatoni vodka which the vodka sauce was spicy and nothing on the menu said that. Crab and spaghetti was very tasty and the pasta was a nice Al dente. We got the banana pudding tiramisu that was literally just banana pudding with coco powder on it. Was a bit disappointed in the food.

Yelp
Although everything else was amazing, unfortunately the food was not. The employees are very nice and the server went beyond later in the evening as we were celebrating a birthday. Gruyère cheese sticks: those were good. But you'll have to eat them then and there otherwise they'll get hard internally. Steak tartare: nothing memorable here other than the fact that the chips were burnt. "ESCARGOT & COQUILLE". My pasta wasn't even al dente. It was hard to chew. Definitely my fault for not asking to have it cooked longer but the pasta was still hard leaving the kitchen. The escargot had sand and after taking a bite, I was completely done. The place is cute either way in self. Good amount of sitting space inside and not. The 3 instead of 1 star was because of the server. Although it felt like she was dodging us after asking to pay, she explained that she was waiting for the cake to come out which was sweet.

Yelp
Came here for a birthday, and while the vibe was on point--perfect for a date or GNO--the food left a bit to be desired. The place has a really nice aesthetic that makes it feel special. We were excited to dig into our meals, and while the rigatoni and mussels were tasty, the crab spaghetti was a letdown. It was pretty flavourless, and we ended up leaving some behind. On a positive note, the service was great! Everyone was attentive and kind, which definitely added to the experience. They even surprised us with complimentary dessert to celebrate! We (unintentionally) went during happy hour (5 pm-7 pm), and while the drinks were good, they didn't really stand out. They market it as a martini happy hour, with eight types available for $10, but I ordered a Hugo Spritz for $15, which didn't feel like a happy hour deal (it was labelled as so on my receipt). Just a heads-up: definitely check with your server about what's included! The lychee martini was the highlight for me though--it was delicious! Overall, I probably wouldn't go back just for a meal, but I might pop in for an aperitivo or happy hour if I'm in the area.

Yelp
celebrated my friend's birthday here. service was amazing - our server was patient and kind as it's our first time here. offered to help us take pictures. food was slightly disappointing. to start, we got the cheesesticks- nothing spectacular here but still good. for mains, we tried their viral ravioli - it was nothing like we expected to be honest, it was pretty simple and not particularly delicious. my rigatoni was alright, but again, not anywhere close to all the other vodka rigatonis i've had. the drinks were fine as well. atmosphere was great. i loved the lighting in there! decor was unique and stunning.

Yelp
Came to leave a review and then was shocked to see all the negative reviews. So, I think its fair to preface this with - maybe dinner is blah but the brunch was yah! My friends and I had no idea this was a viral spot but we wanted a bit a Europe after all our summer travels and this was the place we agreed on. Online booking wasn't clear with regards to securing a patio table but upon arrival the seater was very accommodating with a side of "hey gorgeous" and loads of compliments. Okay, my vanity aside, that made me happy that we could sit outside instead as we soaked up the last bit of summer. Food: We got the souffle pancake, Rosti Eggs Bennie and Parsian Eggs Bennie + seasonal fruit plate. All delicious but yes the price is high but this is King St ya'll - what do we expect? Was it worth? I say yes. Unfortunately no substitutions allowed even if you pay extra but don't sleep on the garden salad - to die for. I was not expecting it to be that yummy AND came with pistachios. Not your average garden salad. The parisian eggs bennie comes with fresh baked croissants and the rosti was SO good. Wish there was a bottomless coffee option but alas. Service: Our server, Isiah (I hope that was his name) was just PHEnomenal. Chatty, informative and just wanting to do his best to take care of the table. He overheard that it was my birthday so he brought us mini Proseccos to celebrate. What a star! I can tell he loves his job and his attitude was infectious. Set our day on the right start and we weren't rushed out after a particular time. Thank you so much for making my birthday a memorable one and the staff deserves a lot of accolades! Will we be back.

Yelp
Excited to try this new restaurant. The restaurant was very cute and Parisian. My friends and I got a booth in the back of the restaurant close to the patio, which has a nice view and lighting. We got the beef tartare and the cheese stick, which was so good. The crème brûlée espresso martini was very unique and sweet. Definitely good to sip on. We tried the viral ravioli dish along with the escargot pasta and ricotta+spinach pasta. Overall, I thought the ravioli was good, buttery and a bit salty. The escargot pasta was not as flavorful, the pasta was too al dente but the escargot was good. The spinach pasta was the most flavourful pasta dish that we tried. To end dinner, we received the pavlova meringue dessert and it tasted better than it looked. Good way to end dinner. Our server was friendly, patience with us.

Yelp
Had to check it out after all the social media hype on this restaurant and it did not disappoint! The food was amazing and service was even better. Our server knew we had a celebration and comp'd some of our drinks, knowing that we already ordered a lot. She even gave us a complimentary dessert which was sorbet with some bubbly. Was a nice gesture of hers! Here's what we got: Steak tartare 4/5 - Was pretty good with the chips being super crispy. Renee caesar salad 5/5 - Refreshing and so crisp and clean! Gruyere cheese sticks 5/5 - Amazing appetizer! The cheese pull was so good on this, super crispy battered on the outside and ooey gooey cheese on the inside. Mussels & frites 5/5 - Delicious white wine butter sauce that paired so well with the frites. Escargot ravioli 2/5 - Would pass on this, nothing special and did not taste superb. Rigatoni alla vodka 5/5 - Would order this again, but ask for additional sauce if you like your food saucey. Raviolies du dauphine 3.5/5 - This was what I was most excited about, but did not live up to the hype on social media. Still tasty though. Whole fried branzino 5/5 - The BEST thing we ordered all night. This was crispy and delicious. Perfect for sharing as well, since the fish is cut into pieces and fried to perfection. Steak & frites 3.5/5 - Nothing special, but a nice meaty touch to the meal. Overall, I loved the vibes and food here. Everything was so delicious and I can't wait to come back for more!

Yelp
Long story short: Delicious, pricey, but great vibes! Long story long: We split 3 different pasta dishes: Rigitoni alla vodka (great flavour with a small kick, a bit heavier on the Al dente side), Ravioli du Dauphiné (a highlight - deliciously buttery, we dipped our cheese garlic bread into that sauce all night) and the Lasagnia blanca (smooth, tasty, but not as flavourful, a bit boring). We also had the pavlova for dessert, which was light and balanced with the berry compote. We were seated relatively quickly for a Thursday evening at 5:45 PM. The servers were so lovely and kind. We got there during happy hour, so we indulged in $12 martinis (I had some specific requests and the bar did a great job to make that happen). Overall, a great spot with good people and elevated decor. The food was delicious and we were satisfied when we left. More on the expensive side, but it was great quality.

Yelp
We were looking for a place for dinner between union station and exhibition following the Indy and decided to check out cafe Renee. It's been all over social media so I wasn't surprised when I couldn't book a reservation for dinner hours online. We tried our luck anyway. Thankfully, they had a table ready right away. It was during the cocktail hour so everyone got a drink. I opted for the creme brûlée espresso martini and the other members of my party ordered off the martini cocktail hour menu. I liked my martini. It was nice but on the pricey side ($20). We ordered the French dip, rigatoni alla vodka, and carbonara and shared a few bites here and there. Our server was really nice but the person who brought the food over announced each plate with a lot of adjectives. It was interesting. Unfortunately the rigatoni was really underdone. I felt very awkward but I asked our server if they could refire it because it was hard to chew. She asked if we wanted it "well-done" which seemed a bit harsh and I said no (out of fear it would be mushy). The kitchen definitely made a mistake on that one because the carbonara was cooked perfectly. Thankfully, the second plate was great and had the correct texture. We also had the French dip which was good. The plating was interesting with a crisp layer of cheese which made it a bit hard to share. The beef was cooked to about a medium (still pink in the centre) and was sliced nice and thin. In the bathrooms, they have sinks but the soap is outside at a different sink. It's a bit confusing at first. I thought someone ripped the soap dispenser off the wall. Overall, it was good and bad. I wish I could leave 3.5 stars, but it's not an option. Outside of the situation surrounding the doneness of our pasta, our server was very nice. They touched the table a lot, refilling waters, checking on refills of cocktails, and clearing plates. The vibes weren't my favourite so I'm not in a rush to go back.

Yelp
We came as walk ins on a Wednesday night at 6:45 pm and were seated at 7:30 pm. There's not much seating as it is just the first floor so come early or make a reservation. We got a bunch of stuff. I would stay stick with the pastas vs the mains. Standouts were the ravioli au dauphine and the ricotta and spinach gnudi. Everything else was average. The ravioli was cooked to a perfect Al dente and the sauce was delicious. Their cocktail list is super cool with a lot of options. I wish there was an alcohol free section as I don't drink. My friend got the blueberry bramble and likes it. The atmosphere is typical king west - lively and loud.

Yelp
I came alone without a reservation and was seated right away at the bar. The ambiance is so hip and lively, especially on a Friday night. My bartender was great and was able to guide me on drinks and on the menu. The number one reason I actually wanted to come here was for the ravioli du dauphine so I was really disappointed to learn they do not serve it late night. My beef tartare was excellent and the carbonara was good, al dente! Thank you to the staff for a wonderful night out.

Yelp
Cafe Renee is currently Toronto's hottest restaurant in the King West area. Located where the old Jimmy's coffee used to be, the space now eludes Parisian vibes. Despite being recently opened, this place has been busy and packed most nights. The menu is French/Italian inspired where the menu consists of starters (think classics like a steak tartare, mussel & frites, and chicken liver parfait...as well as the escargot ravioli which was a recommendation from the bartender), pastas (all freshly made), as well as mains/bigger plates (including a banh mi du paris, burger, steak & frites, and a whole fried branzino). Their beverage menu is also quite extensive where they have a variety of cocktails (3 kinds of espresso martinis!), wines, and beers. I stopped by Cafe Renee on a Wed night after work. Made reservations and sat by the bar. Service was friendly and you could tell that the staff/bartenders were doing their best. Ordered an espresso martini as well as a crab spaghetti (uni cream, j choke chips) . The espresso martini was made well and was great! The crab spaghetti was delicious as well, pasta was al dente and the uni cream sauce was a unique flavoured sauce. I did want to taste a bit more uni to be honest but the dish was flavourful where you could taste the crab in between bites. The artichoke chips added a crispy component to the pasta which worked really well. Overall, great new place for cocktails and French/Italian eats in the King West neighbourhood. Definitely want to return for more!

Yelp
Cute lil french restaurant on a side street in King West. Came for brunch and was pleasantly surprised. I got the breakfast place with fried eggs, bacon, potato crostini and side salad. It's pretty basic so hard to get wrong but I do love their potato crostinis. Very crispy and nicely salted. The cocktail I got was strong good as well. Service was friendly. The only complaint is that it was kinda smelly where I sat but I can't pinpoint what it was exactly.

Yelp
Absolutely disappointed with Café Renee. My friend booked a reservation almost 2 weeks in advance for celebrating one of our another friend's 25th birthday dinner, and a credit card was required to hold the reservation. We even received confirmation emails right up until today. However, when we arrived, we found out the restaurant was closed with no notice at all. How could they confirm a reservation when the restaurant is closed? This ruined what was supposed to be a special celebration. Unacceptable and incredibly unprofessional. We won't be returning FOR SURE! And if you're looking for somewhere for celebrating important events, better not choose here. No any notice, no answer the call, no any responsibility sense at all!

Yelp
To be honest I've been coming here since the early days and I used to love it but in the last little while the quality has diminished for me on some of the key signature dishes. I got my ravioli and this time it was almost dry barely any sauce, which was so disappointing as the sauce is the star of the dish! To top it off the manager at the front; a very under dressed male in baggy denim cargo pants was so incredibly unpalatable it had us eat and leave immediately. I had no desire to stay. The minute we walked in he had so much attitude asking if we had a reservation on a Thursday at 5:30pm LOL! And when I said no, the snarky attitude continued. Proceeded to tell us we could come back in 45 minutes to an hour, as they don't have a wait list. Instead we hung around and in less than 10 minutes were seated at the bar lol! What a joke of customer "service" he was. I spoke to the GM regarding my concerns and I got a patronizing I'm sorry you feel that way. And managers can wear whatever they like???? You require your serving staff to match the vibe and dress in all black but the manager can look like he works in the men's section at Walmart? Confusing. The response I got from her is we are a casual dining restaurant. Which I strongly disagree with! Yes it's not fine dining but this is a classy joint! Instead of addressing your customers concerns I felt she was just on the defensive. Customer service was lacking from the front staff but the servers are gold and the bar manager was so friendly! They redeemed the rest of the managerial staff.

Yelp
Went here twice in the span of 4 days and ordered a few different items. I wouldn't recommend going even though the staff are very friendly. It's just not worth the price. Also, none of the espresso martinis are available during their "martini" happy hour. The raviolies du dauphine was tasty but so small and they don't give you spoons for the sauce. The ricotta and spinach gnudi had more flavor than the ravioli but it only comes as 4 small meatball sized portions. Then I made the mistake of ordering the bucatini carbonara knowing that we were drinking and I just wanted a substantial portion of food cause everything else is so small. They bahn mi and French dip were both so dry. They are both also served with a side of fries, which they didn't tell us when we ordered fries with our dishes. The French dip had crispy melted cheese on the outside of the baguette but not enough cheese on the inside. The beef is also served raw, which is strange and changes the flavor of the dish. The restaurant is not worth the hype in my opinion. However, I would go to the speakeasy, Charlemagne which is upstairs. It's pricey but they have good drinks.

Yelp
Came here with friends it was hard to get a reservation for starters so book in advance if you want to visit! They sat our table inside near the bathroom, it smelt like puke so they moved us to the patio which then smelt like garbage. Service was a little pushy throughout. We got their creme brûlée espresso martinis, chocolate martini along with the ravioli (what they're known for), steak frites, steak tartare and crab pasta. Everything was mediocre I was really looking forward to trying everything, ravioli was good but not worth in my opinion it came as a sheet which you cut into ravioli pieces, steak wasn't that flavourful on the steak frites, steak tartare was yummy but chips were a bit burnt, and crab pasta was good but not overwhelmingly good. Had high expectations for this place because of the prices and hype but wouldn't really come back, I would say its what you called overhyped

Yelp
One of my fav meals in recent years in Toronto! The pasta was fantastic, and the seating and ambience was great. A mix of a bar and restaurant vibe. The Gnocchi and the Poutine was the stars!

Yelp
After hearing so many good things about this restaurant blowing up social media, I had to go try it with the girlies. Came here on a Monday night without a reservations around 6pm for a group of 3, and was luckily sat down quickly. The lineup at the door does become quite long around dinner time, but if you can it's best to reserve if possible. Drinks - ordered a dirty vodka martini to start off the night. A classic, a little on the strong side of course, a slash of olive juice. Nothing outstanding, just a classic martini. - my other girl ordered the espresso martini and that was also amazing. Would recommend if you're a sleepy girlie waiting for dinner, starting your night! Food: - ravioli du dauphine- this is actually not a meal, we ordered it as an appetizer to share (as recommended by the waitress). Parmesan ravioli topped with a creamy buttery light sauce, and a sprinkle of black pepper it was yummyyyy. If you have it as a meal you may not be full, the ravioli is quite small, but great to start. I understand the hype behind it, a classic dish with such simple ingredients done right. Yum! - steak tartare- a flavourful, umami tartare topped with a truffle mayo egg yolk, and some crispy little potato cuts on the side, a great starter to share as well we thoroughly enjoyed it! A lot to share, great texture and flavour. - Carbonara- I always tend to opt for a creamy base when unsure of which pasta to choose, and it did not disappoint! A very simple carbonara, flavourful, savory, rich and plenty of portion as a main! I would recommend if you're into cream base pastas! Filling and worth the dinner. Service - friendly, attentive and quick. Able to point out various popular items on the menu and describe and address all of our questions knowing it was our first time here. Loved her! She did an amazing job despite the restaurant being busy! Overall would recommend. Check out and recommend this resto!

Yelp
Lovely drinks. Food does not libe up to the "influencer hype". Mediocre at best. 5/10. We gor two pasta dishes. Fresh but lack luster. Lack of seasoning and an overwhelming amount of butter..everything swims in butter. The carbonara was very disappointing, not in the taste aspect, but rather in the fact the meny called it 'carbonara' whilst the dish had a holondaise sauce. Overall,....the vibe is nice. The food is exceptionally forgettable and bland. I shall not be returning here. Gusto 501 across the road and petty cash right beside are better options

Yelp
Food looked and tasted as good as on instagram. Adrian at the back bar provided great drink recommendations. Mock tail and cocktails. Went for date night with the wife and she commented it's more a girls night out spot.

Yelp
Really good and I would go again! The sitting area was so cute!! There's a speakeasy on top which I wish I went to but I don't think it opened when I went. Gruyère Cheese Sticks with alla vodka sauce - 9/10 (crispy and the sauce rly made it better) Steak tartare - 7/10 (I've had better but it was not bad) French Garlic Cheese Loaf - 10/10 (so yummy!! The bread was so soft, just delicious) Ravioli Du Dauphine - 10/10 (it was my fav dish, the sauce and everything about it was so good. Didn't feel too heavy either) Rigatoni alla vodka - 7/10 (the sauce was good, but there wasn't enough, a bit too al dente for my taste) Fresh Berries Pavlova - 8/10 (pretty good it was a big meringue with berry and whipped cream, a bit too sweet for me. I don't rly have that big of a sweet tooth tho) Crème Brûlée Espresso Martini - 5/10 (didn't really taste like creme brûlée, I've had better espresso martinis but it was really strong)

Yelp
Pasta was good. Beef tartare was ok. Ambiance was nice inside and out. Portions were very small, felt like everything was overpriced.

Yelp
We decided to try to get walk in reservations since they were booked online and we actually got seated right away on the patio and had a 2 hr dining window!! Server was lovely and offered great menu suggestions. Both our meals and apps were beautifully displayed and extremely delicious. Only issue was my daughters amaretto sour was more of a whiskey sour but still drinkable lol

Yelp
the interior is beautiful with great ambiance. the staffs are really nice and attentive which was great. although the food looked amazing, it was alright. it definitely won't fill you up, but a great place to go for the vibe. wished there was more to the food for the price you pay

Yelp
This is a really nice restaurant with a great menu and great service. You definitely need a reservation. We got the mozz sticks which were so good. And all the pastas we got were so good. The steak and the French dip were so good.

Yelp
The foods ambiance and service were all spectacular, I can't wait to go back. We ordered pasta as our mains, but can't wait to try their steak when we come back, it looked amazing when we saw others order it

Yelp
I've been seeing this pasta all over my IG, so I came to try. Was a bit disappointed, it was very regular. I went on a weekend, they had a DJ. The ambience was very dark, kind of hard to see the menu.

Yelp
Went to check this place out with a friend yesterday after all the buzz. The actual interior is beautiful, there is great ambiance. Our server as well was wonderful. A slight catch with their menu- my friend has a seafood + peanut allergy so we looked at the menu beforehand like alyways and it seemed like there were plenty of non-seafood options. However, once we were seated and informed the server of the allergy, we were informed that multiple dishes on the menu use Dashi (oceanic/fish stock) as a base and cannot be modified. Dashi is not listed in the menu description for a lot of these dishes. This didn't leave us with many options (two of the pastas and one of the starters), however staff were very pleasant. To be absolutely honest- my friend goes to sushi places as well as Thai restaurants and has rarely had allergic reactions. Shortly after eating the rigatoni alla vodka (normally made with Dashi base but was 1 of 2 pastas we were told could be modified), she felt nauseous and threw up. We were told that our food was made on a separate stove by a specific chef, who came out to verify as well. Not sure exactly what happened but for the sake of transparency I wanted to include it. I enjoyed the food, the evening special was a butternut gnocchi with burrata, but my friend's experience was unfortunate. They did finally offer to comp my friend's half of the meal after she requested it. In summary: menu unclear about certain allergens but good service + lovely chef

Yelp
Sophisticated yet relaxed ambiance with exquisite and great tasting drinks. Service is always with a smile and attentive. Meals are delicious and traditional with a modern touch.

Yelp
Buzzy spot but service (over 30 min wait for our first course) and comfort (seating was very tight) Steak tartar was probably the highlight Cheese sticks and crab pasta were pretty basic

Yelp
Food was fine... Where the experience took a turn was when the bill was presented. We received a different bottle of wine than what we ordered. The waitresses response was "I'm sorry, did the server not confirm what bottle it was?" before passing the machine for payment. Maybe I'm old fashioned but I'm used to more accommodating service, where you pay for what you ordered. Look-I'm not here to bash the place, the ambience is great, but feel slightly deceived and will not be returning.

Yelp
This restaurant is definitely quite overhyped. A lot of the pasta was undercooked and weren't that flavourful. The fried fish and lasagna were done quite well though.

Yelp
Cafe Renee is a beautiful little Italian restaurant located in Toronto's hipster King Street West area. I had a real good bartender who had just started working there and he was very friendly and knowledgeable about the drinks. Even though they don't carry my favorite hard seltzer drinks there, he whipped up a drink for me that absolutely satisfied my thirst. I also had the French Dip sandwich with the crusted cheese that was, hands down, the best sandwich I've ever wrapped my mouth around. Cafe Renee is always hopping so reservations are strongly recommended but once you check this place out you'll know why!

Yelp
I went here 8 months pregnant and they were NOT accommodating. When we booked the reservation we did not realize half the tables were bar stools and half were booths. There was no where to indicate the kind of table when you booked the reservation. We were seated at a table with bar stools with no back rest. There were MULTIPLE booths available. From the second we got there we asked to move to a booth. We were told that other guests had put in the comments of their reservation that they requested a booth. I asked our waitress and the manager if leaving a request meant it was confirmed and they would not answer. They still would not move us to a booth despite me being 8 months pregnant. I only stayed because they said they would try to find a booth. I had to stand for most of the meal. Finally when we were 3/4th of the way done our mains they brought me another bar stool that at least had a back rest. I just never imagined I would be treated that way at 8 months pregnant. 2 stars because at least the food was good.
