Cafe Rico

I went in the AM for breakfast after hearing rumors that “Cinnamon Dave”was making his famous cinnamon buns. I started off with a very nice fresh hot roasted cappuccino, that was completely amazing! I had the special which included Daves cinnamon roll, fresh eggs and fresh hand cut fruit, everything was amazing. After talking to the owner and the Cook, I decided that I needed to come back in the evening and try the five cheese pizza. Again, it was amazing! With the cracked pepper and the olive oil to dip the crust in, the perfect mix of cheese, the cool setting, some Wi-Fi to do a little bit of work and a nice book. Cafe Rico is definitely a place to visit if you’re in Puerto Viejo.

Amazing aesthetic atmosphere, delicious food, appropriate for families and individuals alike. Ruby was an added bonus ❤️ an absolute must try when you’re in the area.

Soooo goooodddd highly recommend! The place was super cute and the food was awesome, the ice coffee was so good never seen a better ice coffee in my life !!

Ambiance: 4 Service: 4.5 Food: 4 Drinks: 5 (coffee) Went for breakfast and wasn't unhappy. Tasty with a nice verify. Service was one of the best in the area. Coffee was worth stopping for alone. As a female I liked that they put soft weaved pads on the chairs so your legs don't stick when wearing shorts :)

They really do have the BEST espresso in PV. I've tried several other local shops and nothing compares to this spot. Owner Lena is super friendly, along with staff. Their iced espresso lattes even have espresso ice cubes in them. So yummy with de Leche coco. Breakfast is fresh & delicious, I got the huevos ranchero. The vibe is casual & peaceful and you may get to see some local wildlife even!

Very cool cafe— we came here for breakfast twice during our stay. Loved all the books, animals, and the staff was very kind. Huevos Rancheros is a delicious filling breakfast. The cinnamon french toast was outstanding— still tasted like banana bread to me, but with many cinnamon layers. Wear bug spray, I got many mosquito bites here.

Great atmosphere, like a library in the forest. Also nice and cool because it's shaded. We just had a large coffee, which was definitely large and the coffee was good. Food looked great, but didn't try it.

Well, I know about food the topic is subject, however there are some points to consider. 1. If you gonna sell typical food, you have 2 choices: 1. Learn so well about it or pay a cooker who knows about the typical food. 2. The pinto wasn't good, no tasty good and no look good, the eggs, well I want to think that they prepared in the way that they cook in their country and it's ok, but for me could be better. 3. Pancakes look so white, they taste good but looks no appetizing. About the service was excellent, the girls were so nice and kind. About atmosphere is awesome, we feel like we are in the forest, nice and fresh.
